Ironing tips:
• When ironing a garment that consists of multiple fibre types it is
recommended to use the lowest heat setting.
• Velvet and other textures that rapidly become shiny should be ironed in one
direction with light pressure applied.
• Always keep the iron moving to prevent overheating of the fabrics.
• Pure woollen fabrics (100% wool) may be ironed with the iron set to the steam
position.
• To prevent staining, do not spray water straight on silk or other delicate fabrics.

6 - Troubleshooting
Questions Answers
The appliance does
not produce any
steam.
Fill the water tank to above the MIN line. Press and hold the steam
trigger until steam comes out. It may take up to 30 seconds until
steam comes out.
Press the steam trigger and keep it pressed when you iron.
The iron leaves a
shine or an imprint
on the garment.
The surface to be ironed was uneven, for instance because you were
ironing over a seam or a fold in the garment.
The ironing board
cover becomes wet
or water droplets
come out of the
soleplate.
Steam has condensed on the ironing board cover after a long
ironing session.
There is too much
steam coming out of
the iron.
The default setting of the iron represents the optimal temperature.
In this setting, the iron gives off a high steam output.

12
After ironing:
1. Disconnect the iron from the power supply and empty out any water left in the
water tank.
2. Reconnect the iron into the power supply and disconnect it again after the
indicator light goes out. This helps dry out the soleplate.
3. Let the iron completely cool down, and then wipe flakes and any other
deposits on the soleplate with a damp cloth or a nonabrasive (liquid) cleaner.
Clean the upper part of the iron with a damp cloth. Store the emptied iron
horizontally on a stable surface with a cloth protecting the soleplate.
4. When not in use, store the appliance in a safe, dry place, out of reach of
children.
Self-cleaning:
1. Set the temperature control to the maximum position, then press the self-
clean button for about 1 minute. Steam will emit from within the iron to clean
the steam compartment. We recommend using the self-cleaning function
approximately once every two weeks.
Anti-calc:
1. The anti-calc function filters certain minerals from the water to prevent lime-
scale residue from building up inside the steam compartment. However if you
live in a particularly hard water area, we recommend using bottled or distilled
water.
WARNING: never pour vinegar or other liquid cleaners for eliminating calcium into
water tank.
8 - Cleaning & Care
WARNING:
Do not immerse any electrical part of the appliance in water
such as motor units or plugs.
Please see cleaning section for further instructions.
