2. Set the Tracstar antenna to Dish 1000 (“arrow” button one time
then + or – until IDD reads “Dish 1000”, (not Dish 1000a) then
press the “enter” button.
3. Now with your Dish Network remote, press the MENU button then
press the numbers 611. Select the “check switch” option. When the
check switch screen appears verify that “superdish” and “alternate”
have no checks in the boxes, adjust if needed (do not run the
check switch at this time).
4. On your TracStar display press the MAIN button two times until it
reads “dealer setup-code 0”. Press the + button until the IDD reads
“code 13”, and then press enter.
5. Press the arrow button three times until it reads “set test”. Press
the +button until the IDD reads “check switch”. Next press enter
then + then enter on the IDD. The IDD will read “check switch cal”.
6. In one to two minutes the IDD will read “run switch test”, quickly
with the Dish Network remote control highlight “check switch” on
the tv then press select to run the check switch. At this time the
TracStar antenna and the dish network receiver will start the check
switch process which may take a few minutes. You will see the IDD
and the receiver count to 38. When the check switch process is
finished you should read on your TV the following: 110, 119, and
129 all “ok”. If this doesn’t appear then you must repeat steps 9
through 14 again.
7. Exit or cancel out of the check switch menu, the receiver should
start downloading the guide which may take a few minutes.
8. The set up process is complete.
9. As you select different programming on your Dish Network receiver
the TracStar antenna should automatically switch to the appropriate
satellite.
*** Reminder: It is good to put your antenna in “Idle Hold” while parked to
save on the life of the motors, but if you put your antenna in “idle hold” mode
when parked the TracStar antenna will not switch between satellites 110, 119
and 129***
