8. Follow the instructions in Section 3-2, “Mounting the
Receiver,” in the TracVision A5 Installation Guide to
mount the second receiver inside the vehicle.
9. Check the cable connections at both receivers to ensure
none have come loose. In particular, be sure to inspect
the short video cable, connecting between the “To
Video” and “Video” ports, on both receivers.
10. Follow the instructions in Section 4-1, “Installing the
Remote Control Batteries,” in the TracVision A5

Testing the Two-receiver Configuration
Now you need to turn the system on, test both receivers, and
ensure everything works properly.
1. Ensure that the antenna has a clear view of the
satellite. For complete details about satellite
reception requirements, refer to Section 1-3,
“Receiving Satellite TV Signals,” in the TracVision A5
User’s Guide.
2. Apply vehicle power and turn on the vehicle’s
entertainment system. Turn on the audio/video
components that are connected to the original
receiver and the components that are connected to
the second receiver.
3. Turn on the front panel power switch on both
receivers. The light on each switch illuminates and
the receivers beep twice.
4. Wait 30 seconds. The antenna should then power
off and both receivers should beep once.
5. Press the SAT button on the remote control that
came with the original receiver. Then press the
POWER button. The original receiver beeps twice
to indicate that power is again applied to the
antenna.
6. Do not move the vehicle for 20 seconds. This
allows the antenna gyros to initialize properly.
