INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing this product!
For installation, maintenance and assurance of a long life
of this product, please follow this manual.

The product is fully assembled, and ready for installation.

Note that changes made to the product and/or installation
of components which do not conform to the approval, may
be a safety violation. The manufacturer will in no
circumstance be held responsible for such activity.
For your health and safety, always use safety gear suited
for the task. Be certain to follow codes, regulations and/
or specific procedures that are related to the installation.
The product is not intended to be repaired. The “sealing
ring” and entry threads contain flamepaths, and shall not
be repaired, but replaced with spare parts from Tranberg
AS.
TOOLS REQUIRED
Wrench according to size of cable gland
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
The product should be inspected according to company
routines and/or relevant national regulations for your coun-
try.
APPLICATIONS
• Outdoor or indoor for unarmoured cables
• Sealing on cables outer sheath only.
• Suitable for use in hazardous area, zone 1, zone 2
and safe area.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before installing the component, ensure that
• The cable gland is not damaged.
• The o-ring/gasket is not damaged and that the gas-
ket bearing areas are flat.
• The cable diameter is within the clamping area of the
sealing ring.

Installation
• Screw gland body (4) into enclosure with a wrench.
When used in sheet metal enclosures, use lock nut
inside box. Refer list on next page for correct tighten-
ing torque.
• Pass compression nut (1) over the cable.
• Pass washer (2), then sealing ring (3) over the cable.
• Carefully cut back the outer sheet of the cable as
shown on drawing.
• Feed conductors through gland body (4). Conductors
and outer sheath goes through the connector (4) and
into enclosure.
• Press sealing ring (3) and Washer (2) into gland body
(4) by hand.
• Screw compression nut (1) into Connector (4) by
hand.
• Use a wrench to tighten the compression nut (1).
Make sure the Rubber seal is tight against the cable.
Refer list on next page for correct tightening torque.
• Pull cable to make sure it is secured in rubber seal.
