TheMasterSchedulerisacomputer,butthat’sthe
lasttimewe’llmentionit.Theseinstructionsarein
plainEnglishwithonlyacoupleofunusualwords
likesetpointandsetback.Notechnicaltalk,no
complicateddiagrams.Allyouhavetodotobecome
aMasterSchedulerexpertisfollowthesimplesteps

DeadBand – Thedifferenceindegreesbetweenthecoolingandheating
setpoints(min.4°F). For the typical setpoints of78°cooling
and72°heatingthedeadbandis(78–72)or6°F.

Beforegettingintothenutsandboltsofhowto
workwithyourMasterScheduler,letustakeabrief
lookatsomeoftherulesitcanplay:
1. Yourinstaller,(ofazonedsystem)mayhave
chosentouseananalogsensor,(thermister)
tocontroloneormoreofthezones.Hewould
thenutilizetheMasterSchedulerasan
interfacebetweentheanalogsensor
andthesystemcontroller,whichis
designedtocommunicatewithadigital
thermostat.HecouldalsousetheMaster
OVERVIEW
Schedulerasoneofthezonethermostats,if
desired.(inadditiontoitsinterfacerole.)
2. Whenprogrammingsetbacktimesand
temperatures,(whichwewillsoonbedoing,)

–theMasterSchedulerwon’tforgetits
WhatTheMasterSchedulerCanDoForYou:

happens.Youprobablywon’tfindtheinstruction
manualbythenanyway,sothat’swhywe’vefactory
installedthreebuttonbatteriesforpowerbackup.
Simplyactivatethemanddon’tworryabouta
powerfailureknockingoutyourMasterScheduler
thermostat.
WhentheLCDclockflashes,it’stimeto
replaceyourbatteries.*Butevenwhenyouhaveto
changeyourbatteries,yourMasterScheduler
won’tforgetit’sschedule.
TheMasterSchedulerwillstayintouchwith
youandyourIntegratedZoneTM System.Alittle
greenlightwillflashtoletyouknowit’stalking
withtheheatpumporairconditioner.That’sgood.
Thelastthingyouwantisasenseless sensor.
