instructions.
a. Theunusedcableoutletholemustbeclosedandthewaterproofconnectoronthe
usedholemustbefirmlylocked.
b. Werecommendthebottomofhousingbesetandfirmlysealedonasmoothflat
surface.
c. Whenmountingthecamerahousingonaceilingorwall,pleaseusethescrewswith
theblackrubbero‐rings.Withouttheo‐ring,watermayseepintothemachine.
d. Turnandloosenthecontrolstick,shiftrightandlefttoadjustthevari‐focallens
untiltheimagebecomesclear,thenturnandtightenthesticktofixit.
e. Beforeclosingthedomecover,makesurethattheblackrubberbandstickstothe
insideofthecovercompletely.Iftherubberbandiscrookedoruneven,itmay
causethecameratonolongerbewaterproof.
f. Lockthescrewsonthedomecovertightlytoensurethere'snogapbetweenthelid
andthebase.
Note:Whenconnectingcablesintomachine,itisrecommendedtouseahosetoinclude
allthecablesinsideinsteadofplugginginseveralcablesseparately.Watermayseep
throughagapfrombundledcables.Youcanalsosealtheconnectorholewithsilicone
afterinstallation.

CameraInstallation
1. InserttheInstallationCD‐ROMintoyourcomputer’sCD‐ROMdrive to initiate the
Auto‐Runprogram.ClicktheInstallCamera.
2. WritedowntheMACIDofthecamera
3. Pluginandconnectthepoweradaptertothecamera.IfyouareusingthePoEto
supplypowertothecamera,pleaseskiptothenextstep.ClickNextwhenyouare
done.

5. The founded cameras will show on the screen. The camera already selected by
defaultifyouhaveonlyonecamerainstalled.Ifyouhavemorethanonecamerain
thesameNetwork,youwillneedtoidentifythecamerabytheMACID.ClickNext.
6. Select"DHCP"optiontoassignanIPbyDHCPserverorSelect"FixedIP"tosetIP
addressmanually.ClickNext.
7. Ifyouselect"FixedIP", fillouttheIPaddress,subnetmask,defaultgateway,DNS
server. Please ensure that the IP address of the camera and the computer must
withinthesamenetwork.ClickNext.
8. TypeinthePassword.Thedefaultpasswordis“admin”.Youmustchangethedefault
passwordofthecamera.Enterthedefaultpassword:adminandenter the new
password.Thepasswordmustbebetween8and32characters.(Alphanumeric:a‐z,
A‐Z,0‐9),andenteringthepasswordtwotoconfirmpassword.

9. Click the hyperlink heretoaccesstothecamera’swebpageorclickNext. It is
recommendedthatyouaccesstheIPcameranowifitwasusingaDHCPconnection.
10. Click FinishtoexittheprogramorclickHometoreturntothemainscreen.

Configuration
ViewingCameraBasicFunction
OpentheWebbrowseronyourcomputer(exampleshowedinthisUser’sGuideisbased
ontheInternetExplorer).IntheAddressbar,typetheIPaddressyougotfrom"Camera
Installation"chapterorfoundbyIPInstaller,andthenpress[Enter].
Whentheloginwindowappears,entertheUsername(admin)andPasswordandpress
OKtoaccesstothemainscreenofthecamera’sWebConfiguration.

The"mute"buttondoesnotaffecttheplaybackrecordingvideo.Aslongasthe"2‐

NTP:TypeintheIPaddressoftheNTPserverandintervaltime.ThetimeoftheIP
camera will be synchronized with NTP server time. To use this option, if the NTP

The camera supports two levels of authentication, Basic and Digest. The Basic option
having the username and password transmitted as plain text. The digest option

ThisIPcamerasupportsUPnP(UniversalPlugandPlay)whichisasetofcomputer
networkprotocolsthatenablethedevicetodeviceinteroperability
UPnPPortForwarding:
Whenthecameraisinstalledunderarouter,enableUPnPPortForwardingtoletthe
routeropenportssothatthevideostreamscanbesentoutfromaLAN.SetWeb
Port,HttpsPort,andRTSPport,andmakesureyourroutersupportsUPnPandthe
functionhasbeenactivated.
After type in the port number and click "Apply", the port forwarding status will
displaybesidetheportcolumn.Therearethreestatuswillshow.

Therouterdoesn'tsupportUPnPPortForwarding:Thecameracandetectthe
router, but router return a message that it does not support UPnP Port

RTSPServer:
Enableit,thenyoucanaccesscameraandgetimageviaRTSPprotocol.
IfyouhaveamediaplayerthatsupportsRTSPprotocol,youcanuseittoreceivethe
videostreamingfromIPcamera.The RTSP address canbesetfortwostreamings
respectively.
RTSPAuthentication:
"Disable" means everyone who knows your camera IP Address can link to your
cameraviaRTSP.Nousernameandpasswordarerequired.
Under"Basic"and"Digest"authenticationmode,thecameraaskstheusertogive
username and password before allows accessing. The password is transmitted as
plaintextunderbasicmode,whichprovidesalowerlevelofsecurity than under
digestmode.Makesureyourmediaplayersupportstheauthenticationschemes.
RTSPPort:It'susedforTCPconnection.SetupportforRTSPtransmitting(Default:
554)
RTSPStartandEndPort: It's used for UDP connection. Setup port for RTSP
transmitting(Default:5000,9000)

Multicastisabandwidthconservationtechnology.Thisfunctionallowsseveralusersto
sharethesamepacketsentfromIPcamera.TouseMulticast,appointIPAddressandport
here.TTLmeansthelifetimeofpacket.Thelargerthevalueis,themoreusercanreceive
thepacket.
TouseMulticast,besuretoenablethefunction"ForceMulticastRTPviaRTSP"inyour
mediaplayer.ThenkeyintheRTSPpathofyourcamera:"rtsp://(IPaddress)/"toreceive
themulticast.

UnderONVIFconnection,thevideowillbetransmittedbyRTSP.Besuretoenablethe
RTSPserverinIPsetting,oryou'renotabletoreceivethevideoviaONVIF.
ONVIF:
Choose your ONVIF version. The two devices that use ONVIF to communicate
shouldbesettothesameversion.

RTSPKeepalive:
Whenthefunctionisenabled,thecamerachecksonceinawhileiftheuserwho

broken,thecamerastopstransmittingvideotouser.

This function enable Safari browser's bookmark to link to this IP camera. The Bonjour
nameisthenamethatdisplayinthebookmark.PleasenotetheBonjourfunctiononSafari
browserdoesnotsupporthttpsprotocol.Ifyouselected“https”mode,youwillseethe
cameraappearsonSafari’sbookmarksbutwillnotbeabletoaccessthecamera.

IfyourPCsupportsLLTD,enablethisfunctionthenyoucanchecktheconnectionstatus,
properties,anddeviceposition(likeIPaddress)ofthisIPCamerainthenetworkmap.In
WindowsVistaorWindows7,youcanfindLLTDthroughthepath:CallouttheControl
Panel→NetworkandInternet→NetworkandSharingCenter→Click"Seefullmap".

WhentheusersaccesscamerasviaHttpsprotocol,thetransmittedinformationwillbe
encryptedsothatthesecuritylevelisarisen.
Youcanselecttheconnectiontype.
Http:usercanaccessthecameraviaHttppath.
Https:usercanaccessthecameraviaHttpspathbutcannotviaHttppath.
Http&Https:BoththeHttpandHttpspathcanbeusedtoaccessthecamera.When
you change the setting of connection type, it may cause connection error or
disconnectionerrorifyouswitchtheprotocoldirectly.Therefore,Http&Httpsmode
isnecessary.IfyouwanttochangefromHttptoHttps,pleaseswitch to “Http &
Https”modefirst,andthenswitchto“Https”mode.Samemethodwhenyouchange
fromHttpstoHttp.
TheHttpsprotocolhascertificateverifyingmechanism.Whentheuseraccessawebsite
viaHttps,thebrowserwillcheckthecertificateofthatdomainandverifyitstrustiness
andsecure.
Certificategenerationprocess:
1. Remove the existing certificate: Before you generate a new certificate, please
removeexistingone.Select"Http"connectiontypeandclick"Remove".Ifadialog
boxpopsuptoaskyoutoconfirm,click“Yes”.

SNMP(SimpleNetworkManagementProtocol)providesasimpleframework for
administeringnetworkedhardware.TomanagetheIPcamera,youhavetoprepareaMIB
browser or similar tools first. SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, and SNMPv3 can be enabled
simultaneously.
ThefollowingexamplesarebasedonMG‐SOFTMIBBrowser.DependingonyourMIS
Browser,youmayseedifferentinterfaceandoptions.Pleaserefertotheusermanualof
yourMIBBrowser.
SNMPv1andSNMPv2:
Theterm"Communityname"inSNMPv1andSNMPv2ccanberoughlyregardedas
key.Thepersonwhohasthecommunitynamehastheauthoritytoreadoreditthe
informationofIPcameraviaSNMP.
ClicktheboxtoenableSNMPv1orSNMPv2cprotocol,andspecifythecommunity
name for write (read and write) and read (read‐only). The user who use read
communitynametoaccesstheIPcameracannotmodifyanydataofthecamera.The
communitynamecanbeanyEnglishcharactersandnumbers,andmustbeshorter
than31bits.
SNMPv3:
Fordatasecurityreason,theauthenticationandencryptionassurancesareadded
whendevelopingSNMPv3.Theuserhastogivenotonlythesecurityname(similar
with"communityname"inv1&v2c)butthepasswordinordertoaccess the IP
camera. Please set securityname, authentication type, authentication password,
encryptiontype,encryptionpasswordofwriteandreadrespectively.Thesecurity

DifferentfrominSNMPv1andv2c,theuserhavetocreateanaccountwhenusing
SNMPv3.Intheaccountparameters,keyinthesecuritynameandpasswordyouset
inthecameratogetaccessing.
SNMPv1/SNMPv2Trap:
Trapisamechanismthatallowsamanageddevicetosendmessagestothemanager
instead of waiting passively for polling from the manager. Specify the trap event.
Whenthoseeventsoccur,thecamerawillsendtheringmessagetotheTrapAddress,
whichisusuallythemanager'sIPaddress.TrapCommunitymeansthecommunity
thatcanreceivethetrapmessage.
Note:TrapAddressmustbeunderthesameLANwithIPcamera.
