Installation
Notes:
• HDD/SSD drives are sensitive to static electricity
and must be handled properly so as not to risk
data loss. Always handle your HDD/SSD drive with
caution by wearing an anti-static strap (Such as
Tripp Lite P999-000) when transporting it, or by
touching a grounded metal surface to discharge
yourself of static electricity prior to picking up the
drive.
• When disconnecting the connected drive, be sure
to go through the proper disconnection steps
of your operating system to safely disconnect.
Removing the drive prior to proper disconnection
can result in loss or corruption of data stored on
the drive.
1. Using the included screwdriver, remove the
2 drive tray screws located on both sides of
the USB port.
2. Remove the front plate and slide out the
internal drive tray.
3. Place your SSD next to the M.2 SSD
connector, matching up the drive mounting
holes. Position the included nut underneath
a drive mounting hole that matches the
length of your SSD.

4. Slide the M.2 connector on the SSD drive
into the M.2 receptacle on the drive tray.
Note: The connector on the M.2 SSD is keyed so
the drive will only fit one way.
5. Hold down the drive toward the drive
mounting hole. Using the included
screwdriver, drive the screw through the
mounting holes on your SSD drive and into
the drive mounting hole. Your M.2 drive is
now installed.
6. Replace the 2 drive tray screws on the front
of the enclosure located on both sides of the
USB port.
7. Connect the included USB 3.1 Gen2
Cable between the USB port on the
U457-1M2-SATAG2 and the USB port
on your computer.
8. If your drive has not been formatted yet,
you will first need to format it using your
computer’s Disk Management Utility in order
to copy and access files.
9. Your enclosure is now ready to use. The
blue LED light will blink to indicate reading,
writing and transferring of data.

TRIPP LITE warrants its products to be free from defects in materials
and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of initial
purchase. TRIPP LITE’s obligation under this warranty is limited
to repairing or replacing (at its sole option) any such defective
products. To obtain service under this warranty, you must obtain a
Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number from TRIPP LITE or
an authorized TRIPP LITE service center. Products must be returned
to TRIPP LITE or an authorized TRIPP LITE service center with
transportation charges prepaid and must be accompanied by a brief
description of the problem encountered and proof of date and place
of purchase. This warranty does not apply to equipment, which has
been damaged by accident, negligence or misapplication or has
been altered or modified in any way.

Notas:
• Las unidades HDD / SSD son sensibles a la
electricidad estática y deben manipularse
adecuadamente para eliminar el riesgo de perder
datos. Maneje siempre su unidad HDD / SSD con
cuidado usando una correa antiestática (como la
P999-000 de Tripp Lite) cuando la transporte o
tocando una superficie metálica conectada a tierra
para descargar la electricidad estática antes de
tomar la unidad.
• Al desconectar la unidad, asegúrese de seguir los
pasos de desconexión adecuados de su sistema
operativo para desconectar de forma segura.
Retirar la unidad antes de una desconexión
adecuada puede resultar en pérdida o corrupción
de los datos almacenados en el disco.
1. Con el desatornillador incluido, quite los
2 tornillos de la bandeja de la unidad
situados a ambos lados del puerto USB.
2. Retire la placa frontal y deslice hacia afuera
la bandeja interna de la unidad.
3. Coloque su SSD al lado del conector de
SSD M.2, haciendo coincidir los orificios de
instalación en la unidad. Coloque la tuerca
incluida debajo de un orificio de instalación
de la unidad que coincida con la longitud de
su SSD.

4. Deslice el conector M.2 de la unidad SSD en
el receptáculo M.2 en la bandeja de la unidad.
Nota: El conector en el SSD M.2 está diseñado de
forma que la unidad sólo cabe de una manera.
5. Mantenga presionada la unidad hacia el
orificio de instalación de la unidad. Con el
desatornillador incluido, introduzca el tornillo
a través de los orificios de instalación en su
unidad SSD y en el orificio de instalación de
la unidad. Su unidad M.2 ya está instalada.
6. Vuelva a colocar los 2 tornillos de la bandeja
en la parte frontal del gabinete ubicados a
ambos lados del puerto USB.
7. Conecte el Cable USB 3.1 Gen 2 incluido
entre el puerto USB en el U457-1M2-
SATAG2 y el puerto USB en su computadora.
8. Si su disco aún no ha sido formateado,
necesitará formatearlo primero usando la
herramienta de Administración de Discos
de su computadora a fin de acceder a los
archivos.

Garantía limitada por 1 año
TRIPP LITE garantiza por un (1) año desde la fecha de compra inicial
que este producto no tiene defectos de materiales ni de mano de
obra. La obligación TRIPP LITE bajo esta garantía está limitada a

Installation
Remarques :
• Les lecteurs HDD/SSD sont sensibles à l'électricité
statique et doivent être manipulés de façon
adéquate afin de prévenir tout risque de perte de
données. Toujours manipuler le lecteur HDD/SSD
avec prudence en portant un dispositif antistatique
(comme la P999-000 de Tripp Lite) lors de son
transport ou en touchant une surface métallique
mise à la masse pour décharger les charges
électrostatiques du corps avant de toucher au lecteur.
• Au moment de débrancher le lecteur connecté,
s’assurer de suivre les étapes de déconnexion
appropriées pour le système d'exploitation pour
un débranchement sans risque. Retirer le lecteur
avant une déconnexion appropriée pourrait
entraîner la perte ou la corruption des données
stockées sur le lecteur.
1. En utilisant le tournevis inclus, retirer les
2 vis du plateau du lecteur qui se trouvent
de chaque côté du port USB.
2. Retirer la plaque avant et glisser le plateau
du lecteur interne pour l'extraire.
3. Placer le SSD à côté du lecteur SSD M.2 en
faisant correspondre les trous de montage
du lecteur. Positionner l'écrou inclus sous un
trou de montage du lecteur qui correspond à
la longueur du SSD.
