8. Functon and Use
8.1) Loadng a drywall plate
8.1.1) Loadng n nclned poston for work on slopng roofs
1. Before loadng the plate lft, make sure that the parkng brakes
connected to 2 swvel rollers (1) are engaged so that the plate lft
cannot roll back.
2. Hold the lftng platform handle (8) frmly wth one hand and loosen
the lockng lever (6.1) wth the other hand.
Attenton! There s a rsk of njury! As soon as the lockng lever (6.1) s
released, the complete plate lftng unt wll stll front. When holdng the
lftng platform handle (8), you must exert so much strength that plate
lftng unt can stll be lowered at the front.
3. Place the drywall plate n the centre of the plate holdng latch (9.1)
so that the drywall plate s on the plate lft arms (9) (Fgure 14).
4. Insert the pn of the lftng platform fuse (6.2) through the provded
openngs (Fgure 15).
8.1.2) Loadng n nclned poston for work on celngs
1. Proceed as descrbed n Steps 1 – 3 n Chapter 8.1.1.
2. Use the lftng platform handle (8) to nsert the plate lftng unt nto
the horzontal poston and secure the plate lftng unt by actuatng the
lockng lever (6.1).
Attenton! There s a rsk of njury!
Whle the lockng lever s engaged (6.1), hold the lftng platform
handle (8) well fxed. When holdng the lftng platform handle (8),
you must exert so much strength that you can hold the loaded
plate lftng unt n the horzontal poston. Do not release the lftng
platform handle (8) untl you have made sure that the lockng
lever (6.1) s engaged.
Tp: Whle holdng the lftng platform handle and after the lockng
lever (6.1) s locked n place, exert some pressure lghtly n the
opposte drecton. The plate lftng unt must not tlt.
Attenton! IMPORTANT NOTE!
Dependng on the type and nature nature of your celng substructure and the strength
plates, t may be necessary to mount the plate holdng latches at 180° to ensure
ensure that the drywall plate s drectly under the celng substructure and can be lfted wthout
the plate holdng latch contactng the drywall plate blockng the celng substructure.
If ths s the case, loadng the plate lft n horzontal poston s recommended. For nformaton
about loadng n horzontal poston, see Chapter 8.1.3.
Under these crcumstances, f you stll prefer to load n a tlted poston, proceed as descrbed n
pont 3 and rotate the plate holdng latch (9.1) before the next load agan at 180° to place the
drywall plate n the mddle of the plate holdng latches (Fgure 16).
When the celng work s completed, .e. when the last drywall plate s assembled to the celng,
the plate retanng latch must be rotated by 180°, otherwse the drywall plate cannot be lfted
drectly under the celng sub-structure.
3. Turn the plate holdng latch (9.1) by 180°, loosen the wng nut, remove the screw and pull out
the plate holdng latch (9.1). Attach the plate holdng latch as shown n Fg. 17 and mount the
screw and wng nut agan. Turn the plate holdng latch (9.1) agan by 180° before the next load,
to be able to place the drywall plate n the mddle of the plate holdng latches.
Attenton! There s a rsk of njury!
The poston of the plate holdng latches may only be changed f no drywall plate s on
the plate lft.
8.1.3) Load n horzontal poston for work on celngs
1. Before loadng the plate lft, make sure that the parkng brakes
on the swvel rollers (1) are engaged so that the plate lft can not
roll back.
2. Use the lftng platform handle (8) to nsert the plate lftng unt
nto the horzontal poston and secure the plate lftng unt by
actuatng the lockng lever (6.1).
Attenton! There s a rsk of njury!
Whle the lockng lever s engaged (6.1), hold the lftng platform handle (8) well fxed. When
holdng the lftng platform handle (8), you must exert so much strength that you can hold the
plate lftng unt n the horzontal poston.
3. Turn the plate holdng latch (9.1) by 180 ° n whch you loosen the wng nut to remove the
screw and pull out the plate holdng latch (9.1).
Attach the plate holdng latch as shown n Fg. 17 and mount the screw and wng nut agan.
4. Load the drywall plate n the plate lft ensurng the plate s
carefully centered on the plate lftng unt (see Fgure 16).
8.2) Lftng and lowerng
8.2.1) Lftng
After you have set up the plate lft n one of the prevously
descrbed and sutable postons, proceed as follows to lft the
plate lft.
1. If you are movng the plate lftng lft over a short dstance after
loadng, before lftng, make sure that the lockng brakes of the
swvel rollers are actvated.
2. Make sure that the rack fuse (2.3) has been folded upwards
so that t s of the rack.
Attenton! Durng the lftng, f you can not engage the
racks wth an audble clck on the teeth of the rod, the
rack fuse does not apply. Ensure that the fuse s
appled correctly (Fgure 18)
3. Wth one hand, hold the chasss frame handle (10) and wth
the other hand hold the plate lft crank (2.1). And turn the crank
clockwse untl you reach the desred heght.
