Congratulations on your Troy Lee Designs Premium Protective gear
purchase. Please take a few minutes to read the following information
before using your Base Protective Shorts
INTENDED USE: The primary intended protection offered by the Base
Protective Shorts is the prevention of minor abrasion through mechani-
cal action and relative motion between the user’s lower body and
off-road (unpaved) terrain during modest mountain-biking (off-pave-
ment cycling sport) activities. The Protective Shorts are not intended for
powered cycling or aggressive mountain biking—including downhill,
freeride, and dirt jump—where greater abrasion or impact protection
may be needed. Do not place gear in high heat and extreme cold
conditions, this will damage the product. The Protective Shorts are not a
toy and are not intended for users with a body mass of less than 20 kg
(45 lbs) or less than 14 years old.
PROPER FITTING: Shorts should fit snug to the body and legs. Leg
holes should not slide on leg, but fit firmly around the leg. Shorts
should fit around waist according to waist size, see size details in
product description and inseam chart below for proper fitting:

Troy Lee Designs warranties all its products against defects in materials
and workmanship for one year. Normal wear and tear, negligence, or
improper care during the use of a product is not considered a defect. No
warranty or representation is made as to this product’s ability to protect
user from any injury or death. The user assumes that risk. Protective
Gear must be replaced after serious impact and should not be used if
there are any cracks, ripped seams or torn material. Protective Gear is
intended to minimize injuries, but it does not guarantee complete
protection against injury or death. Do not modify this protective product
in any way as it would dangerously reduce its intended performance.
This product conforms to CE standards only in the configuration
originally sold by the manufacturer. Troy Lee Designs does not offer any
warranty or representation of this product’s ability to protect the user if
pieces are removed. Only the pieces in original positions conform to the
CE standard.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS: Hand or machine wash cold only, with similar
colors. Do not dry clean nor bleach. Do not clean your protective gear
with anything but soap and water. Do not use hot water or chemical
cleaners (like glass cleaner) or any solvents which contain petroleum
based products like benzene or gasoline on your protective gear. Your
protective gear can be weakened by these substances and may not
provide its intended protection.
STORAGE AND INSPECTION:
STORAGE: Store the Protective Shorts in a dry, ventilated environment
that is out of sunlight and away from direct heat sources. Do not store
in automobile or under heavy items.
INSPECTION: Inspect your Protective Shorts before each ride and after
any crash for signs of wear, crack, break, or other damage. If the
product is damaged, or if there is any doubt as to its condition, it must
be replaced and not be used.

DISPOSAL: At the end of its life the protector must be disposed of in
accordance with local refuse regulations. There are no hazardous
materials used in the manufacture of the protector.

von Abnutzung, Rissen, Brüchen oder anderen Schäden. Wenn das
Produkt beschädigt ist oder Zweifel bezüglich seiner Schutzfähigkeit
bestehen, darf es nicht länger verwendet und muss ersetzt werden.

REINIGUNGSANWEISUNGEN: Mit ähnlichen Farben von Hand oder in der
Maschine waschen. Nicht chemisch reinigen und kein Bleichmittel
verwenden. Zum Trocknen aufhängen. Die Schutzausrüstung
ausschließlich mit Wasser und Seife reinigen. Keine scheuernden
Reinigungsmittel oder Schwämme verwenden. Die Schutzausrüstung
nicht mit heißem Wasser oder chemischem Reiniger (z. B. Glasreiniger)
oder anderen Reinigungsmitteln, die Mineralölprodukte wie Benzol oder

UTILISATION PREVUE: Les shorts offrent une protection contre les
éraflures mineures aux extrémités inférieures, causées par les
mouvements mécaniques et relatifs entre l'utilisateur et le terrain non
pavé lors d'un vélo de montagne modéré. Les pantalons courts
protecteurs n'ont pas été conçus pour le cyclisme motorisé ou le vélo de
montagne agressif, y compris les descentes hors route en descente, les
sauts et le freeride, où un degré de protection plus élevé peut être
requis. Ne pas exposer l'équipement de protection à des températures

ライクリーニングや漂白をしないでください。石鹸と水以外のもの
で保護具を掃除しないでください。温水や化学洗浄剤（ガラスクリ
ーナーなど）、ベンジンやガソリンなどの石油系製品を使用してい
る保護用品には使用しないでください。保護服はこれらの物質によ
って弱められ、その意図された保護を提供しない可能性があります

保管と点検:
保管 : 直射日光の当たらない、直接の熱源から離れた、乾燥してお
り換気された環境で保管します。車内や重量物の下などに保管しな
