Instructions for use - Binoculars

Change the position of the lenses until the image is
visible with both eyes.
If you wear glasses, fold the rubber eyepieces back.

Close right eye, turn focus wheel until image is
focused for your left eye.
Clockwise = near objects (minimum 5 metres)
Anticlockwise = distant objects

Close left eye, turn eye correction ring until image is
focused for your right eye.
No batteries are needed for using the binoculars.
Taking pictures

Open the cover and insert batteries.
If appropriate, insert the SD / MMC memory card
(maximum 512 Mb)
The memory card icon will then display on the LCD
screen.

Switch the camera on (and off) by holding in the
power button for 2 seconds.
Please note: after 2 minutes of inactivity, the LCD
screen switches off. Switch it on again using: .

Find an inanimate object and place the binoculars on
a stable surface.

Set the focus wheel of the digital camera to the
correct distance.

Press the Shutter button to take a photo.
Always look at the LCD screen to see what the photo looks like.
Using the menu

Press the right button to access the menu.

Scroll through the menu using the cursor keys:
Press the menu button to select the appropriate
menu item.
3 Exit the menu / return to the previous menu screen.

Making video recordings
Select from the menu: Description:
Video mode
To start and stop recording, press the shutter button .
Maximum of 90 seconds in the fixed resolution of
320 x 240.
'Flashback' mode
To start and stop recording, press the shutter button .
Only the final 10 seconds are stored in the memory.
Return to photo mode.
Looking at photos
Select from the menu: Description:
Playback mode
Use the arrow buttons to scroll through the photos:
Use the zoom buttons to zoom in and out of the
photos (not available for video recordings).
Use the four arrow keys to look at the various areas
of a zoomed-in photo.
If zoomed in: return to normal photo format by
clicking on the menu button:
Return immediately to record mode: press the shutter button: .

Delete photos
In playback mode, press the menu button
Select from the menu: Description:
Playback menu
Delete the current photo.
Beware! Delete all photos.
Beware! Format memory / memory card.
Return to playback mode.
Return to record mode.
Transferring photos to and viewing photos on the PC

Connect the USB cable to the camera. And to the PC's USB port.
Always place the camera on a flat surface, so that the batteries do not fall out.

3. Copy the files to the 'My Documents'
folder.

Disconnecting camera

1. Left-click on the icon.
2. Click on 'Safely remove USB storage device'.
The following message appears: 'Safe to remove
hardware'.
3. Disconnect camera.

1. Left-click on the icon.
2. Click on 'Switch off USB storage device'. The
following message appears: 'The USB storage
device can now be safely removed.'
3. Disconnect camera.

Trust Photo Upload Software
Program for placing photos on the Trust PhotoSite.
(www.trustphotosite.com)
Ulead Photo Explorer 8.0 SE Basic
Program for acquiring, displaying, arranging,
modifying and printing photos.
Always restart the computer after installation of the software.
Manuals are available for the software on the Trust CD.

Photo format
Make a selection from the various formats.
The larger the photo format, the better the quality.

Different icon for each white balance setting!
White Balance
This functionality ensures that the colours in the
photo match the colours as they are seen with the
naked eye.
The white balance can be set for various lighting
situations.
Auto White Balance The camera tries to
estimate the lighting situation itself.
Cloudy.
Neon lighting.
Light-bulb lighting.
Camera configuration

For adjusting the camera's settings.

Select from the configuration menu: Description:
Clock and date setting.
Change the settings using the left/right buttons.
Use the menu button to move to a different line.
Press the menu button on the bottom line to return to
the configuration menu.
On/off beep.
Effects and screen
Normal. No effect.
Classic. An authentic sepia photo effect.
Black and white.
Switch the LCD information icons on or off.
Time stamp on/off.
Frequency for interference compensation. Europe:
50 Hz

Flashback time. Set the record time in flashback
mode to 5, 10, 15 or 20 seconds.
Retrieve the standard settings.
Beware, all previously made settings will be lost!
Return immediately to record mode: press the shutter button: .
Special messages
This message appears in record mode when the
memory is full. Solutions:
- Insert a memory card
- Transfer the photos from your camera to the
computer and delete the photos from the
camera.
This message appears in playback mode if there are
no photos to view in the camera.
Solution:
- Press the shutter button to go to record mode
and use the same button to take a number of photos.
Batteries and power
Battery life indicator on LCD screen.
Black = batteries full.
Batteries empty
Camera beeps and power LED flashes red.
Other possibilities: LCD battery indicator flashes red
and an error message appears.

Energy saving
Only switch the LCD screen on when it is actually
being used. Use the following buttons to switch off
and on:
After 2 minutes of inactivity, the LCD screen switches
itself off. After 5 minutes, the camera switches itself
off.
Battery advice
We recommend using rechargeable Ni-MH AAA
batteries with a capacity exceeding 600 mAh.
Please note
The camera is only splashproof, do not immerse.
If the photos are blurred or distorted, try placing the camera on a stable surface.
Memory
- Format the memory card before using it for the first time.
- Memory cards can only be inserted in one direction. Do not force.
- Maximum supported size of SD / MMC cards: 512 MB. SD Ultra 2 is supported.
- If additional memory is inserted, the on-board 16 MB memory is no longer available for use.
