cannot process the FAT32 or NTFS formats.
Note: Make a backup of the files before using Windows Explorer in Windows
XP. This program may alter your photographs and this cannot be undone.
Note: After taking a photograph, wait at least 5 seconds before opening the
battery compartment. If the camera is still writing data to the card when
the batteries are removed, all the photographs on the card may be
deleted.
Note: Keep memory cards free of dust. Dust and dirt can enter the holes in the
card’s connector and damage the card or the camera.

TRUST 738AV LCD POWER VIDEO
Tip: The quality of the photographs depends on the surrounding light. More light
will result in a better picture. Do not take photographs facing towards bright
light (see figure 8).
Tip: The number of photographs that can be saved in the internal memory
depends on the number of details of the object to be photographed. The
numbers given below are an approximation.
Number of photographs

11 The duration of the video clip will be displayed at the top of the LCD screen.
12 For a clear recording, make smooth, slow movements with the camera.
13 Press the record button to stop recording the video clip.
14 The red indicator on the front of the camera will no longer be lit.
Tip: The quality of the video clips depends on the surrounding light. More light
will result in a better video clip.
10

TRUST 738AV LCD POWER VIDEO
Tip: The maximum duration of the video clips that can be saved in the camera’s
internal memory depends on their resolution. An approximation is given in
table 12.
Tip: The result is better if the camera is not moved or only moved slowly whilst
recording. Quick movements may cause a jerky image. This is due to the
fact that the camera only records 10 images per second. This number
depends on the video recording mode.
UK
Comment: The camera makes a new video clip each time it makes a video
recording. You can paste these clips together using the program
supplied with the camera. A lot of short clips are more difficult to edit
than a smaller number of longer clips.

5 Installing the software
5.1 Removing old drivers and devices
The most common cause of faults during installation is the presence of a driver for a
similar, old device. The best solution is to first remove all drivers related to old
devices before installing the new driver. Make sure you only delete drivers for old,
unused (similar) devices.
Old drivers for webcams, TV cards and video editing cards can affect the webcam
function (live image).
1. Enter the Windows ‘Safe Mode’ (press F8 when starting Windows and then
select ‘Safe Mode’ from the menu which will be displayed).
2. Click on ‘Start – Settings – Control Panel’ and double-click on the ‘Add/Remove
Programs’ icon.
3. Find all the programs for similar, old devices and remove these by clicking on
the ‘Add/Remove’ button. When in the ‘Safe Mode’, it is possible for some
programs to appear twice. In that case, remove all the programs which appear
twice.
4. Restart the computer.
5.2 Installing the driver in Windows 98SE/Windows
Me/Windows 2000/Windows XP
Note: Windows XP and Windows 2000 users: the instructions given below can
only be carried out if you are logged on as ‘Administrator’.
Note: The drivers only support Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000
and Windows XP. If you install the drivers in Windows 98 or Windows 95,
your system may become unstable.
Tip: The latest driver can be downloaded from www.trust.com/13807. Check
whether a new driver is available and use this for the installation. The
current version of the driver is included on the Trust Installation CD-ROM.
Note: Make sure all other programs are closed during the installation.
Note: During installation in Windows 2000 and Windows XP, you may receive a
message saying that the driver has not been signed. This does not cause
a problem for the functionality.
Note: In the example, ‘D:\’ is used to indicate the CD-ROM drive. This may be
different for your computer.
