Torque Converter Lock-Up
Manual
Thank you for buying the Torque Converter. Here you will learn how to install this
Torque Converter into your truck, and we guarantee that you will be satisfied with
our product. Before you get started check to make sure that you have everything
below in the contents that came in the box

Wiring Instructions
There are 7 Wires to be Connected
1. Red: Power supply for the Loc-Up box. Connect to fused 12V +“ignition on” power source.
2. Black: Must connect eyelet to good clean ground.
3. Brown wire connects to the transmission side of the torque converter clutch (TCC) wire.
4. Orange wire connects to the PCM side of the TCC wire.
5. Yellow wire connects the positive side of the (VSS) vehicle speed sensor wire.
6. Green wire will connect to an Autometer sender #2385 for temp readings.
Dodge:
Torque Converter Wire Hook-Up
• Unplug transmission harness connector on driver’s side.
(94-95) Has a Yellow three pin connector; locate wire going to rear pin.
(96-UP) Has a Black eight pin connector; locate Orange w/Black stripe going to pin # 7.
• Cut this wire and use a butt connector to connect the Brown wire to the transmission side of the
wire.
• Then on the same wire you cut use a butt connector to connect the Orange wire to the ECM
side.
Vehicle Speed Sensor Hook-Up
• Locate wires coming from VSS sensor on top of differential. Locate, identify, and follow these
wires thru frame rail to the driver’s side area behind the front fender weld.
• You will see two connectors here. Look for the only twisted pair of wires wrapped in black tape.
Do not cut this wire only tap into the wires.
• Red w/Purple tracer is the positive side. Using supplied crimp on connector, connect and plug
the yellow wire to Red w/Purple tracer. Tap into the white wire with purple tracer (negative side).
Connect other end to the black ground wire at controller.
94-95 will skip this section.
Ford:
Torque Converter Wire Hook-Up
• Locate the connector on the passenger side of the transmission, Unplug and locate the Purple
w/Yellow tracer will be on the inside row of connector 4 hole from rear of truck.
• Cut this wire and use a butt connector to connect the Brown wire to the plug (transmission) side
of the wire.
• Then on the same wire you cut use a butt connector to connect the Orange wire to the ECM
side.
Vehicle Speed Sensor Hook-Up
• Locate wires coming from VSS sensor on top of differential.
• Follow these wires thru frame rail. Will be the only twisted pair of wires wrapped in Black tape.
Do not cut this wire only tap into the wire.
• Locate the Red with Black tracer and tap connect the Yellow wire. Tap into the green wire with
black tracer (negative side). Connect other end to the black ground wire at controller.
Duramax:
Torque Converter Wire Hook-Up
• Unplug the connector on the passenger side of the transmission (oval shape).
• Locate the wire in pin J, should be a dark grey wire with white tracer.
• Cut this wire and use a butt connector to connect the Brown wire to the transmission side of the
wire.
• Then on the same wire you cut use a butt connector to connect the Orange wire to the ECM
side.

Vehicle Speed Sensor Hook-Up
• On the tail shaft of transfer case (4x4) or transmission (2 wheel drive), locate the purple wire w/
white tracer and tap connect Yellow wire.
Do not cut this wire only tap into the wire.
Lock-Up Controller Screen Reads Description and Action to Take.
• Press right arrow to go to the next screen. Press left arrow to go back to the previous screen.
1. Main menu: will tell you when the TCC is engaged or disengaged. This is the menu you will
want to drive in.
2. Contrast menu: up arrow will brighten and down arrow will darken screen.
3. Back light menu: up arrow will brighten and down arrow will darken screen.
4. Torque Lock ON/OFF: up arrow turns on and down arrow turns off. In the ON position torque
lock will control TCC engagement/disengagement with settings you program. In the torque lock
off position, factory programming will control TCC operation.
5. Check button is “Enter”, it confirms action, X button is “Cancel”.

Programming the Controller
• It will be necessary to drive the truck to set TCC Engage/Disengage speed settings. We
recommend having a passenger enter settings while you operate vehicle.
1. Set torque lock to off position.
2. Scroll right arrow to speed settings.
3. Obtain desired speed of TCC engagement, press up arrow. Allow vehicle to slow to the speed
at which you wish to release converter. (Not recommended below 28 MPH) Press down arrow.
Press right arrow twice to go to the save setting screen. Press check mark to store settings.
Press X to return to main screen.
4. To check operation, drive vehicle, when the preset engagement speed is reached, the TCC
should engage and the screen will read (TCC engaged). Now lift throttle, you should feel engine
compression braking down to release speed and screen will show (TCC disengaged).

TS Performance, its distributors or dealers shall in no way be responsible for the product’s proper use and service. The
buyer of this system hereby waives all liability claims. The buyer acknowledges that he is not relying on the sellers
skill or judgment to select or furnish goods suitable for any particular purpose and that there are no liabilities which
extend beyond the description on the face hereof, and the buyer hereby waives all remedies or liabilities, expressed or
implied arising by law or otherwise, (including without obligations of the seller with respect fitness, merchantability
and consequential damages) or whether or not occasioned by the seller’s negligence.
The seller disclaims any warranty and expressly disclaims any liability for personal injury or damages. The buyer
acknowledges and agrees that the disclaimer of any liability for personal injury is a material term for this agreement
and the buyer agrees to indemnify the seller and to hold the seller harmless from any claim related to the item of the
equipment purchased. Under no circumstances will the seller be liable for any damages or expenses by reason of use or
sales of any such equipment.
The seller assumes no liability regarding the improper installation or misapplication of its products. It is the installer’s
responsibility to check for proper installation and if in doubt the manufacturer is to be contacted.
LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
STATEMENT POLICY
•The warranty policy is the best warranty within the high performance diesel industry.
•All TS Performance products have been inspected, tested and trial in the factory laboratories and on the
field.
•Nothing in this Statement of Policy shall alter or enlarge the terms of warranties, obligation or liabilities of
these products.
•TS Performance is not responsible or liable for any products damaged or destroyed due to improper
installation.
TERMS OF WARRANTY
•The defective product must be freight prepaid and returned to TS Performance for further investigation,
otherwise this warranty shall be deemed null and voided and of no effect.
•This warranty is void on any products that show evidence of misapplication, negligence, improper
installation, and abuse, lack of proper maintenance or alternation from its original design.
•In no event will TS Performance be liable for any consequential or incidental damages for breech of any
express or implied warranty on the product.
•This warranty is not transferable or assignable.
•TS Performance is not responsible or liable for any products damaged or destroyed due to improper
installation.
IN THE EVENT THAT THE BUYER DOES NOT AGREE WITH THIS AGREEMENT: THE BUYER MAY PROMPTLY
RETURN THIS PRODUCT IN A NEW ANDN UNUSED CONDITION WITH A DATED PROOF OF PURCHASE TO THE
PLACE OF PURCHASE WITHIN TEN (10) DAYS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE FOR A FULL REFUND.
THE INSTALLATION OF THIS PRODUCT INDICATES THAT THE BUYER HAS READ AND UNDERSTATNDNS
THIS AGREEMENT AND ACCEPTST ITS TERMS AND CONDITITONS.
