Installaon steps:
1. Choose a locaon to place the hour meter where the pick-up wire will reach to the ignion
coil wire. Make sure there is at least 6 inches extra to wrap the pick-up wire around the
ignion coil wire. DO NOT MOUNT THE METER WHERE THE SURFACE EXCEEDS 125°F
2. Loop the pick-up wire through the two holes on the hour meter (see gure 1).
3. If you choose to mount the hour meter with the screws, use a 7/64” drill bit to drill the holes
(see gure 2). DO NOT DRILL INTO GAS TANK, FRAME, or ENGINE CASE. *mounng bracket
sold separately*
4. Starng from the hour meter (aer it is mounted), secure the wire with zip es down to the
ignion coil to ensure it does not get pinched or caught on moving parts while the machine is
in operaon.
5. Wrap the pick-up wire around the ignion coil wire 5-10 mes and secure it with a zip e (see
gure 3). If your engine has a pencil/sck type ignion coil, wrap the pick-up wire around the
dust boot of the coil where it is secured to the spark plug (see gure 4). Test the installaon
by starng the engine and checking the hour meter display. The hourglass icon on the display
will be blinking if installed correctly.

Operaon Instrucons:
Press and release the buon to change through Total Hours, Tach, and Service Modes.
Changing Spark/Pulse:
Press the buon 6 mes and the display should show “1P1r”, this is your tach mode. Release the buon if
this is your tach mode. Hold buon to view more opons. *Typically, motorcycles with a baery or lighng
have ignions that send two pulses for every revoluon (2P1r)*
“1P1r” indicates that the meter is set for 1 pulse per 1 revoluon.
“1P2r” indicates that the meter is set for 1 pulse per 2 revoluons.
“2P1r” indicates that the meter is set for 2 pulse per 1 revoluon.
To View Max RPM Display:
Scroll through unl you get to the RPM screen. Press and hold the buon unl 2RPM is displayed. This is
your Max RPM. To clear the max RPM, connue to hold the buon unl it zeros out.
Service Intervals:
Every 5 hours of operaon, display will ash “CLEAN AIR FILTER”. Every 10 hours of operaon, display will
ash “CHANGE OIL”. At 20 hours of operaon, display with ash “VALVE SERVICE”. All maintenance mers
count down showing you the balance of me before scheduled service. Reset each maintenance mer by
holding the buon down for 5 seconds while displaying the mer.
