Please follow the instructions to “mount” the device
1. Execute cd / etc /sysconfig / ( cat /etc/sysconfig/hwconf | more )
2. Check device information in file hwconf and write down the mount point.
3. Create new folder in /mnt , for example: “mkdir /mnt/mobile disk”.
4. Then, execute mount /dev/sda1/mnt/mobile disk (if the mount point was .dev/sda).
3. How to unplug the Mobile Disk safely
Notice:
(a) Do not remove the Mobile Disk while the LED is still on or flashing. Doing so, it may cause
unrecoverable damage to the files or the device itself. Users may use the “Format” utility to
recover the device; however, the data will be lost.
(b) To prevent data lose or damage the device, please follow the procedures to eject the device
safely.
3-1 Windows ME / 2000 / XP: Hardware Safe Removal Procedures
1. Locate the “Safely Remove Hardware” icon from the system task bar and
double-click it
2. Select the device to unplug from the “Safely Remove Hardware” window and click
the “Stop” button.
3. Select the device from the “Stop a Hardware Device” window and click “OK”.
4. Now it’s safe to unplug the Mobile Disk.

1. Please make sure the system is not accessing the Mobile Disk (reading, writing , or
opening files) before removal. If you were not sure about the operation status, please
log out from current user session or shut down the computer.
2. Unplug the Mobile Disk from USB port.
