WHATISTHESENSORCONTROLLERUSEDFOR?
Thesensorcontrollerisnormallyusedforbedorchairoccupancymonitoring.
Ifapersongetsintobed/sitsintheirchair,thengetsupagainanddoesnotreturnwithina
presetperiodanalarmcallwillbetransmitted.
Lampscanbeturnedon/offautomaticallyusingX10,GadgetorRadiPlug=mainsswitchers.
Apressurematordoorcontactcanalsobeconnectedtoraiseaninstantalarm.
HOWDOESTHESENSORCONTROLLERWORK?
Thesensorcontrollerisnormallysuppliedwithabedorchairsensorasacompletepackage.Thecontrollerandallsensorsarealso
availableseparatelyifcustompackagesarerequired.
ThesensorcontrollermustbeinstalledwithaSayPhone21/V2orReachAt‐homealarm,anAdventxtwardencallsystemor
anAltecResponseportablealarmunit.Theseproductsreportalarmstoaremotecontrolcentreorlocalmanager.
ThesensorcontrollerhasarealtimeclockwithautomaticBritishSummerTime(i.e.the+/‐1houradjustmentsaremade
automaticallyonthecorrectdayeveryMarchandOctober).
Withabedorchairsensoranalarmcanberaisedeitherinstantlyapersonleavestheirbed/chairoraftera1to99minute
programmableabsenceperiodifthepersondoesnotreturntotheirbed/chair.Ifthepersondoesnotreturnandanalarmisraisedbut
theyareOKthenanoptional1to99minuteprogrammableresetperiodcanbeset.Ifthepersonisnotdetectedbackintheir
bed/chairattheendofthisperiodthenanalarmwillberaisedagain.
Monitoringstartswhenapersonhasbeenintheirbed/chairfor30seconds(defaultloggedinbedtime).Continuousmonitoringis
possibleifthecontrollerissettobeonallthetime.Alternativelyupto3activeperiodscanbeprogrammedtorepeateveryday.
Thereisalsotheoptiontoraiseanalarmifapersonisnotintheirbed/chairaftera0to999minuteprogrammabledelayfromthe
startofthemonitoringperiod.
Monitoringwillendattheendofeachmonitoringperiodunlessthestillinbed/chairoptionisset.Thisisa0to999minute
programmableperiod–ifthepersonisstillintheirbed/chairattheendofthisperiodanalarmwillberaised.
Ifthepersonisgoingtobeawayfromhomeforafewdaysthesensorcontrollerhasanawaymodefeaturewhichtemporarily
suspendsmonitoringtopreventfalsealarms.Whenthepersonreturnshometheunitmustbeswitchedbackintohomemodeand
normalmonitoringwillresume.
Thesensorcontrollerhasacarercallbutton(oranoptionalpearpushswitch)toactivateanalarmcallatanytime.
Withapressurematordoorcontactanalarmcanberaisedeitherinstantlythepersonstepsonthematoropensthemonitoreddoor
orafteraprogrammable0to999secondcountdowndelay.ThealarmcanbecancelledduringthecountdownbypressingtheTkey.
Bedsidelampscanbeturnedon/offautomaticallywithGadgetorRadiPlug=mainsswitchersoranX10controllerandperipherals.
AnRJ45doubleadapterisusedtoconnect2sensorspercontroller(mustbesametype)oranRJ11doubleadapterisusedtoconnect
analarmcallpearpushandanX10controller.
