Thecottonsheetshouldbeplacedbetweenthebottomsheetandthemattresstodetectinstancesofenuresis.
Analarmwillberaisedimmediatelymoistureisdetectedtherebyalleviatingcarersfrommakingregularcheckswhichcanbe
intrusiveandunwelcome.
Installation
ItiseasiertoregistertheEnuresissensorbeforeinstallation–seebelow.
1. Removethebottomsheetfromthebed.
2. Placethecottonsheetacrossthewidthofthebedatapointwhere
thepelvicareaofthepersonwillbewhenlyingdown.
Thesidewiththevisiblepatternofelectrodesshouldbeplaceduppermost
withthepressstudconnectionsaccessible.
Ifnecessaryatowelcanbeplacedoverthesheettomakeitlesssensitive.
3. Connecttheleadtothecottonsheetusingoneofthepairsofpressstuds
(itdoesn’tmatterwhich),seeimagebelow;
4. Ensurethewireexitssafelywithoutcausingahazard.
5. Refitthebottombedsheet.
6. Removethebatterycoverfromtheinterfaceunitandconnectthebattery.
7. Plugtheleadintotheinterfaceunitandmakesureitisplacedsafely
outofthewayunderthebed.
TestingandRegisteringtheEnuresisSensor
Placeametalobjectacrossthe2un‐usedpressstuds
onthecottonsheettoactivate.
TheRED“ACTIVATED”lightwillflashforabout8seconds
whenanEnuresisalarmisbeingtransmitted.
TheEnuresissensormustbeactivatedwhenlearning
ontothewardencall,at‐homealarmorNursecallsystem.
Seethefollowingpagesforhowtoputeachofthese
productsintoregistrationmode.
Therangeofallradiodevicescanbeaffectedbytheworkingenvironment‐alwaystakecareduringinstallationand
performseveraltestcalls.

callre‐reportingseveraltimes.ThereisafacilityforEngineerstooverridethismask
timeandtestthebatteryatthesametime.
Whenthesensorisactivatedthealarmcallwillbetransmittedonce,nofurther
transmissionswilloccurfor15minutesgivingtimeforthecausetobecleared.
Tooverridethemasktime;openthecase,pressandholdBUTTON1onthetransmitter
for2secondsuntiltheREDlightflashesonce.AfterashortdelaytheREDlightwillflashoncemore
toindicatethemasktimeisresetandthebatterypowerisOK.IftheREDlightflashesseveraltimesthebatterypowerislow.
DisconnectafteranAlarm
Itisadvisabletodisconnectthecottonsheetassoonaspossibleafteranalarmisdetected.
Prolongedconnectionwhiledampcanresultinsomecosmeticstaining.
CleaningtheCottonSheet
Unplugtheconnectingleadbeforelaundering.
Formaximumlife(50washes)washat60oCandhangtodryinawarmroom(i.e.donottumbledry).
Alternatively,washat85oCwithamediumheattumbledrybutexpectareducedlifeof30washes.
Donotuseafabricconditioner–thiswillmakethesheetwaterproof.
Ifthesheetdevelopsbrownstainingaroundtheelectrodesconsultthemanufacturerforcleaninginstructions.

TheEnuresissensorshouldbeactivatedperiodicallytochecktheelectrodesinthecottonsheethavenot
