Connect the mouse(supplied) to the USB port located at the rear of the H2-D4.
Congratulations on the purchase of your U-tec CamGuardian. This quick start guide will assist you
on getting your H2-D4 up and running as soon as possible. We recommend that you connect
everything and give it a try before you do a permanent installation, to make sure nothing was
damaged during shipping. Below is a detailed connection map which illustrates the various con-
nections on the H2-D4.
Getting to know your H2-D4 Insert Hard Drive
①DC12V: Connect to power adapter
②HDMI Port: Connect to HDTV or Monitor
③VGA Port: Connect to a TV or Monitor
④Network Interface: Network connector port
⑤ I/O Interface: Alarm input/output and RS485 communication
⑥Audio Input: Input audio signal

⑧Analog Input: Connect to camera
⑨USB Port: Connect the USB device
①Power Indicator Light: Display power ON/OFF status
② Status Indicator Light: Display H2-D4 working status

To connect your camera(s) to the H2-D4, connect the DB25 to BNC Connector Cable(supplied) to
the back of the H2-D4, and connect the BNC to the cameras.

To connect your camera(s) to the H2-D4, connect the DB25 to BNC Connector Cable(supplied) to
the back of the H2-D4, and connect the BNC to the cameras.

If you have a monitor with a VGA connection, connect a VGA cable(not supplied) to the VGA
output on the H2-D4, and connect the other end to the VGA input on the Monitor. You can skip
this step if you are using the supplied HDMI cable.
Connect the HDMI cable(supplied) to the HDMI input on the H2-D4, and connect the other end to
a spare HDMI input on the TV. Make sure your HDTV input matches the physical connection used
to connect your H2-D4.

Plug the power splitter to the power adapter and power cable. The other ends plug to the H2-D4
and cameras.
All connections have now been completed. You’re now ready to run through “The Setup Wizard” to
configure your H2-D4.
Connect the Ethernet cable(supplied) to the LAN connection on the H2-D4, and then connect the
other end to a spare port on your router or wireless access point. This steps help you to see the
videos on your phone. You can skip this step if mobile monitoring is not required.
There are two linear ways to install the cameras on the ceiling or wall.
