Place the EdgeSw  tch on a bench top or other at surface.
WARNING: FAILURE TO PROVIDE PROPER VENTILATION MAY CAUSE FIRE
HAZARD. KEEP AT LEAST 20 MM OF CLEARANCE NEXT TO THE VENTILATION
HOLES FOR ADEQUATE AIRFLOW.

The EdgeSw  tch  s grounded through the Power Adapter; however, you can add
opt  onal ESD ground  ng for enhanced ESD protect  on.

Note: PoE  s d  sabled by default on all numbered ports and  s not ava  lable on
the Management port. To enable PoE on the appropr  ate ports, use the Ports
tab  n the Conf  gurat  on Interface.
Access  ng the Conf  gurat  on Interface
Connect to the Conf  gurat  on Interface:
1. Ensure that your computer (or other host mach  ne)  s connected to the
Management port on the EdgeSw  tch.
Note: By default, you can conf  gure the EdgeSw  tch v  a any port; however,
we recommend the Management port. (Access to the Conf  gurat  on
Interface can be l  m  ted to the Management port only. You can conf  gure
th  s sett  ng on the Dev  ce tab.)
2. Conf  gure the Ethernet adapter on your host system w  th a stat  c IP address on the
192.168.1.x subnet (e.g., 192.168.1.100).
3. Launch your web browser. Type https://192.168.1.20  n the address f  eld. Press enter
(PC) or return (Mac).

4. Enter ubnt  n the Username and Password f  elds. Cl  ck Log  n.
The Conf  gurat  on Interface w  ll appear and allow you to custom  ze your sett  ngs. You
can enable PoE on the Ports tab.
You can also manage your dev  ce us  ng the Ub  qu  t  ® Network Management System.
UNMS™ lets you conf  gure, mon  tor, upgrade, and back up your dev  ces us  ng a s  ngle
appl  cat  on.
