INSTALLATION TIPS
Components
Under Hood Connections - R ute the h d pin and tach wires thr ugh the firewall int the engine
c mpartment. Always try t pull the wires thr ugh a fact ry rubber gr mmet. If drilling thr ugh the
firewall, BE CAREFUL. Check f r bstructi ns n b th sides f the firewall. After drilling use a snap in
gr mmet t pr tect the wires fr m sharp edges.
Proper Connections - Rem te Starters can handle l ads f up t 30 amps f r extended peri ds f
time. It is CRITICAL t insure that ALL high current c nnecti ns are pr perly s ldered and insulated
with quality electrical tape. Failing t insure pr per c nnecti ns will result in warranty being VOID and
can result in a FIRE. The manufacturer is n t resp nsible f r any such damages. It nly takes a few
m re minutes t d the j b RIGHT.
Mounting The Control Module - Never m unt the m dule in the engine c mpartment. Select a
l cati n under the dash t install the main m dule. Be certain that the m dule is securely attached and
d es n t bstruct any serviceable areas. D n t f rce r jam the m dule int tight places instead f
m unting. The m dule must be free fr m all m ving parts such as brake, clutch and gas pedal
linkages. D n t place the m dule directly in fr nt f a heater vent.
Installing the External Long Range Antenna - T insure the best p ssible recepti n, place the
antenna in the center f the windshield, behind the rear view mirr r. Bef re attaching t the glass ensure
that the surface is clean and dry. F r best results with range, place the antenna bel w the tint screen.
Run the cable under the head liner and behind the A-pillar panel. Be careful n t t pinch the antenna
cable. Plug the antenna int the BLUE c nnect r n the C ntr l M dule.
NOTE: This step is n t used n Alarm Only Units with n External Antenna.
Testing The System - When the installati n is c mplete, it will be necessary t test that the system
is w rking c rrectly. The system’s default pr gramming will w rk n the maj rity f vehicles, but might
need t be adjusted f r s me applicati ns. If the installati n requires special timing r additi nal
features, pr ceed t Pr gram M de.
