provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential

• The working temperature of the device is from -30° C to 50° C .
• All electronic operation should be strictly in compliance with the electrical
safety regulations, fire prevention regulations and other related regulations in
your local region.
• Please make sure that the power has been disconnected before you wire or
install the device.
• When the product is installed on a wall, the device shall be firmly fixed.
• If smoke, odors or noise rise from the device, turn o the power at once and
unplug the powercable.
• If the product does not work properly, contact the retailer you purchased it
from or Uniden customer support. Never attempt to disassemble the device
yourself. (We shall not assume any responsibility for problems caused by
unauthorized repair or maintenance.)
• Do not drop the device or subject it to physical shock, and do not expose it to
high electromagnetic radiation. Avoid the equipment installation on vibrations
surface or places subject to shock.
• Do not place the device in extreme heat (refer to the specification of the
device for the detailed operating temperature), cold, dusty or damp locations,
and do not expose it to high electromagnetic radiation.
• The device cover should be kept away from rain and moisture.
• Exposing the equipment to direct sun light, low ventilation or heat source such
as heater or radiator should be avoided or damage may occur.
• Do not aim the device at the sun or extra bright places. A blooming or smear
may occur otherwise, and aecting the endurance of sensor at the same time.
• Please keep all packaging after unpacking them for future use. In case any
failure occurs, you will need to return the device to the retailer with the original
packaging. Transportation without the original packaging may result in
damage to the device and lead to void of warranty.
• Please connect a resistor (included in the box content) to the doorbell if no
electrical chime or mechanical chime is connected.
Make sure the power voltage across the doorbell
is between 16 VAC and 24 VAC.

Name Description
IR Light Auto light source for night vision. The lights are behind the panel.
Button Solid blue: The doorbell is starting up and running properly.
Backlight Cycling blue and red: WIFI is not connected.
Flashing red: The doorbell is upgrading.
Flashing blue: The doorbell is calling the App.
No backlight: The doorbell is speaking with the App.
Screw 1 & 2 These 2 screws are used to connect the power cables.
Memory Use this slot for a memory card, video files will be stored on the
Card Slot memory card.
RESET If the doorbell has been activated, hold the button for 15 seconds to
Button restore the factory settings.
If you do not operate the device within 3 minutes the doorbell will exit the
WiFi configuration automatically.
Pre-Installation Information
• DOORBELL- The Uniden U-Bell DB1 is compatible with mechanical chimes. This
means that your current doorbell chime will sound "Ding Dong" when pressed. If
your doorbell chime produces a song or melody, then it is an electronic chime and
not compatible with the U-Bell/DB1. Mechanical chimes can be purchased at your
local hardware store or online retailer.
• WIFI- The Uniden U-Bell is compatible with 2.4Ghz WIFI only. It will NOT pair with
a 5Ghz WIFI SSID. Ensure you are using a 2.4Ghz connection during the application
setup.

Installation
1. Install the memory card.
An 8GB memory card comes installed in the device. If you want to increase
the capacity remove the slot cover, and insert a new memory card.
2. Install the doorbell.
1. Align the cable hole on the mounting template with the hole
from your doorbell wiring.
• Attach the mounting template to the wall using the sticky side.
2. Drill 2 holes where the crosshairs are if you are using anchors.
Insert the anchors. If you are not using anchors and are putting
screws directly into the surface, go to Step 3.
3. Connect the power cables.
Make sure you have powered o the main power switch of your home.
Connect a resistor (included in the box content) to the doorbell if no
electrical chime or mechanical chime is connected.
• The U-Bell comes with 2 power cables and a power connector
to use if needed.
• If your existing wiring is long enough, you can connect it
directly to the U-Bell's screws on the back.
• You can also connect your U-Bell to your home’s wiring with the
supplied connector, solderless wire terminals or crimp wire terminals.
4. Complete installation.
- Route the cables into the existing hole and align the
U-Bell against the mounting template.
- Screw the body of the U-Bell into the wall using 2 screws.
- At this point do not install the faceplate.

Welcome

Setting up your Uniden U
-
Bell
• Read and accept the terms of service,
then choose to register either by phone
or email. During registration, you will be
sent a verification code either by email
or by text depending on what you used
to register.
• Choose your region.
• Enter your email or phone number.
• Enter the verification code sent by text
or email.
• Create a user name and password.
• Click “Finish” and you will automatically
go to the device screen.
Setup Account
1. Download the Uniden One app to your
mobile device. The app is available on
Apple iTunes, Google Play and the Amazon
Store.
2. Connect your mobile device to your WIFI
network.
3. Create an account by choosing “Register”.
Make sure you are connected to
a 2.4GHz (802.11 b/g/bg) and
not a 5GHz network.

Connect to Network
Your smartphone or tablet
should be connected to the
WIFI you are connecting
your U-Bell to. For
example: If you are
connecting your U-Bell to
your home WIFI called
“Home”, then your smart
device should also be
connected to the “Home”
WIFI.
1. Press the “Add Device”
button.
2. Scan the QR code on the
front of the U-Bell.
3. Click the button that says
“Connect to a Network”.

Configure WiFi
1. Press “Wireless
Connection”.
• Input the password to your
WIFI network.
• Press “Next”.
2. When connected, you
should hear, “The WIFI is
connected.”
After WIFI connection,
you should hear, “The
server has been
registered.”
3. Press “Set Device
Password”.
4. Create a password for
your device.
Write your password
down for future use.

1. After setup, go back to
the device screen by
clicking “Uniden One”
in the footer of the app.
2. You will now see your
Uniden U-Bell listed in
the devices.
3. Click the image
from your doorbell
and you will see the
live view from your
U-Bell camera.
• You can manually
record, take
screenshots, and
speak through the
doorbell.
• To change the
settings, click the
gear in the upper
right corner.
1. When someone rings
your Uniden U-Bell:
• The application will
alert you by ringing on
your phone.
• Click the green
receive button on the
right, and VOILA! You
are now talking using
your Uniden U-Bell
Video Doorbell!
5. Add Advanced Settings -
If your router requires
advanced settings you
can add here. Uniden
suggests skipping this
step first and checking
for completion of setup.
Success!You should be
able to Live View your
Uniden U-Bell
You may now choose a
faceplate and attach to the
U-Bell. Once attached, use
the supplied screw to
secure from the bottom of
the faceplate using a “star”
screwdriver.
Answering a Call
Troubleshooting
Question: My U-Bell is not
pairing with my WIFI.
Answer: Ensure your WIFI
network is a 2.4GHz network
and not a 5GHz network.Only a
2.4GHz network will work.
Question:I need to start over
with the setup, how do I reset
the U-Bell?
Answer: Hold the reset button
down for 15 seconds.You will
hear "The device is rebooting"
and then should go through
boot up sequence.When
complete, the button will flash
blue and red alternating.
