3. Choosing an Audio Device
The UNiQ Cycle Sounds system works with any personal audio device with a standard headphone jack. Such as iPod/iPhone, Android phones, Windows
Phones, MP3 Players, XM/Sirius Satellite, AM/FM or any other device with a standard headphone jack (3.5mm output).
PLEASE NOTE: Most audio devices are NOT waterproof
4. Mounting Options
Possible speaker mounting locations include: Possible amplier mounting locations include:
• Handlebars • Spotlight Mounting Bar • Under The Seat • Fork Bag
• Engine Guard/Highway Bars • Forks • Side Tool Compartment • Windshield Bag
• Luggage Rack • Risers • Saddlebag • Front Down Tubes
It’s worth taking some time to consider the best location for your UNiQ Cycle Sounds SERIES 2 amplied speaker system. While many options are possible,
choose one that will look best from both the front and back, give you optimal sound and not interfere with vehicle operation or safety. An ideal location is
behind a windshield** on your handlebars using the provided three-piece mounting brackets. Mounting here brings the speakers closer to the rider for
optimal sound and appearance. (**Windshield is not required, but will offer a louder sound due to less wind noise).

5. Installation Instructions
Important: Review important installation notes located at the end of this section prior to continuing with installation.
Mount the Speaker Clamps
Mount the clamps to your handlebars, highway bars or other location and ensure the 4 allen screws on each clamp are securely tightened. The clamps
themselves will tighten when the speakers are installed.
Mount the Speakers
Feed the wire through the clamp and mount each speaker to the clamp (Flat washer and lock washer go on the bottom). Make sure they are tightly and
safely secured, but do not over tighten. Run the speaker wires down to where you are going to mount the amplier, being careful to avoid the engine or any
area that could cause heat or other damage to the wire/vehicle or inhibit your driving ability.
Amplier Power Plug Hook Up
Find a place where you want to mount the amplier away from direct exposure to the elements such as under the seat, fork bag, saddlebag, toolbag, etc.
Most places will be ne, but try to avoid areas that could cause extreme overheating (such as places wrapped in foam or cotton).
Pull out the power block plug from the amp to begin power wire connection. Take a 10-12AWG wire and attach it to (G)round and run it to the negative
(-) battery terminal. Take a 10-12AWG wire and attach it to (B+) positive then connect it to positive (+) battery terminal (We highly recommend installing a
50 amp inline fuse along this wire). Take a 16-18AWG wire and connect it (REM)ote** and then to a switched 12v power source (such as the headlight or
taillight wire) OR through a toggle switch then to the battery positive (+).
**This wire tells the system to turn on and off. If not connected the system will NOT work.
Adjust the Amp**
Be sure to set the switch to 2-channel operation and adjust the gain and any other settings on the amp to your preference**

Amplier to Speaker Hook Up
Connect the Black wire w/ white stripe (-) from the left speaker to the White wire w/ black stripe from the amp.
Connect the Solid Black wire (+) from the left speaker to the Solid White Wire from amp.
Connect the Black wire w/ white stripe (-) from the right speaker to the Grey wire w/ white stripe from the amp.
Connect the Solid Black wire (+) from the right speaker to the Solid Grey wire from amp.
Amplier Low Input (For connecting your audio device)
To use your audio device, rst nd the black cable with the 3.5mm earphone jack on one end and the Red & White (RCA) plug on the other end. Plug
the Red and the White ends into the corresponding RCA jacks on the Amplier. Run the other end of the wire up to your audio device (iPod, MP3
player, satellite, walkman, etc) and plug it into the headphone jack of this device OR plug it directly in to the optional Bluetooth Module and follow its
instructions. (Bluetooth may lower volume output).
In-line Noise Suppressor (Available Upon Request)
Filter is only needed if you hear feedback or humming through your speakers. If this happens, install the noise lter between the amplier and
the battery by connecting the blue wire to the positive (+) battery terminal and the red wire to the Red (+) positive wire from the amplier. Do not
connect the black wire. Most applications will not require the installation of this noise suppressor.
If you have poor or no sound or receive feedback (even with the noise suppressor), please re-check all wires, including positive and negative
connections and conrm that your system is connected to a good ground. Conrm that no wires are stripped and touching metal. If available, also
test the system using a different audio device.

6. Important Installation Notes
Be sure to adjust the EQ, Gains, Freq and Crossover on the amplier and/or the EQ on your audio device. To do this, start at the lowest settings and slowly
turn up until you reach your optimal sound quality. If the Gain, Freq and Crossover are not adjusted properly on the amp you may get clipping, distortion or
poor performance from the speakers. Call us if you have questions!
*Make sure the speakers, amplier, lters and any wires or other components will not interfere with your steering, gauges, line of sight, or anything else
that could affect or inhibit your driving ability or vehicle operation.
Make sure that all wires are away from hot areas, and that everything is secured to your vehicle. Make sure your driving ability or vehicle operation will
in no way be inhibited by the installation. We are not responsible for systems installed or used incorrectly.
SATELLITE RADIO USERS
If after installation you receive a whining sound in your motorcycle speakers, call or email us to request a free ground loop isolator.
ROAD KING RIDERS
Install to extra accessory switch using these instructions: http://www.uniqcyclesounds.com/roadking
BLUETOOTH HANDLEBAR CONTROLLER
Attach the Bluetooth controller to the handlebars using the included attachment. This will mount easily to any 1-1/4” bar. For a 1” bar, we suggest adding
some of the included 3M tape to keep it from moving on the bar. Device is not waterproof and should be move to a dry place if it starts to get wet.
H-D®(to 2011) T-TAP INSTALLATION (SOLD SEPERATELY)
Under the seat of your Harley-Davidson you will nd a place to unplug the harness and connect the T-Tap (inline). Next, connect the yellow wire from
the amplier to the orange wire on the T-Tap, connect the black wire to the Black wire on the T-Tap and connect the Red wire to the battery positive (+).
This will allow the system to turn on/off with the ignition/accessory. (Sportsters are not compatible with the T-Taps).
