1 INFORMAZIONI GENERALI
Il presente documento contiene la descrizione e le istruzioni di installazione della tastiera di controllo URMET Domus S.p.A.
Sch.1092/694.
1.1 DESCRIZIONE PRODOTTO
La tastiera Urmet Domus Sch.1092/694 consente il controllo remoto e la programmazione dei DVR e delle Dome Urmet Domus
e in generale di qualunque dispositivo in grado di ricevere comandi di Pelco D su linea RS485.

1.2 APERTURA DELLA CONFEZIONE
Verificare che l’imballo ed il contenuto non presentino danni visibili. In caso di componenti mancanti o danneggiati, non provare
a fare funzionare l’unità ma contattare immediatamente il rivenditore. Qualora l’unità dovesse essere restituita, assicurarsi di
spedirla nell’imballo originale.

1.3 AVVERTENZE
1.3.1 ALIMENTAZIONE
 Questo dispositivo deve essere alimentato esclusivamente con l’alimentatore fornito in dotazione. Verificare il valore
della tensione di alimentazione alla quale andrà collegato.
 Per scollegare il cavo di alimentazione dalla presa impugnare la spina evitando di tirare il cavo.
1.3.2 PRECAUZIONI PER LA SICUREZZA
 Per prevenire il rischio di incendio e folgorazione evitare di esporre questo dispositivo alla pioggia o all'umidità.
 Per prevenire il rischio di incendio e folgorazione evitare di introdurre all’interno del dispositivo qualsiasi oggetto solido
o liquido. Se ciò dovesse avvenire scollegare il dispositivo dalla rete di alimentazione e farlo controllare da personale
qualificato.
 In nessun caso il dispositivo deve essere aperto. Per qualsiasi intervento di riparazione rivolgersi a personale
qualificato oppure contattare il centro assistenza.
1.3.3 PRECAUZIONI PER L’INSTALLAZIONE
 Per prevenire il surriscaldamento del dispositivo, collocarlo in una posizione ben aerata.
 Per lo stesso motivo non deve essere installato vicino a fonti di calore come radiatori o condotti d'aria calda o in
posizioni dove sia esposto direttamente all’irradiazione solare così come non deve essere installato in locali soggetti a
eccessiva polvere, vibrazioni meccaniche o urti.
 Tenere in considerazione la temperatura di funzionamento dell’unità (-10°C÷+55°C) e le sue specifiche inerenti il
grado di umidità (10%÷90%) prima di scegliere il luogo per l’installazione. Forti escursioni termiche rispetto ai limiti di
temperatura di funzionamento specificati potrebbero causare guasti all’unità. Non installare l’unità sopra un’altra
apparecchiatura che emani calore.
 Non mettere in funzione il dispositivo immediatamente dopo il trasporto da un luogo freddo ad un luogo caldo e
viceversa. Attendere mediamente tre ore: questo intervallo di tempo è necessario al dispositivo per adattarsi al nuovo
ambiente (temperatura, umidità, ecc...).
 Non posizionare questa apparecchiatura su alcuna superficie instabile come un tavolo traballante o inclinato. In caso
contrario l’apparecchiatura potrebbe cadere con conseguenti lesioni o guasti meccanici.
 Non installare questa apparecchiatura in alcun luogo dove possa essere esposta a umidità o acqua. Non bagnarla con
un getto d’acqua diretto per evitare la possibilità di incendio, scosse elettriche o guasto meccanico.
 Se all’interno dell’apparecchiatura dovesse penetrare acqua o qualche altro materiale estraneo cessarne l’utilizzo al
fine di evitare la possibilità di incendio e scosse elettriche. In questo caso contattare il rivenditore, o l’installatore
autorizzato.
1.3.4 PULIZIA DEL DISPOSITIVO
 Usare un panno asciutto e strofinare leggermente per eliminare polvere e sporcizia.
 Nel caso in cui la sporcizia non fosse eliminabile con un panno asciutto, compiere l’operazione con un panno inumidito
con detergente neutro.
 Non usare liquidi volatili come benzina, alcool, solventi ecc. o panni trattati chimicamente per pulire il dispositivo al fine
di evitare deformazioni, deterioramenti o graffi della finitura della superficie.

2.3 LCD DISPLAY
Tutte le operazioni verranno visualizzate istantaneamente sul display.
Il display passerà automaticamente alla modalità di risparmio energetico nel momento in cui nessun tasto verrà premuto per
circa 30 secondi.

I collegamenti RS-485 devono rispettare le polarità.
Assicurarsi che ai capi della linea RS-485 siano inserite le opportune resistenze di terminazione (120 Ohm).

3 PASSWORD E ACCESSO ALLA TASTIERA
La tastiera 1092/694 gestisce 2 Password di 4 cifre:
 una Password per l’amministratore del sistema che permette di effettuare qualunque operazione su Dome e tastiera
(valore di default: “8888”);
 una Password per l’utente che, rispetto alla precedente, non permette di effettuare modifiche alla programmazione
della tastiera, ma solamente l’uso delle movimentazioni (non prevista di default).
Per accedere al controllo e alle programmazioni, inserire i 4 caratteri della Password in uso.

In tutte le operazioni di programmazione da tastiera, utilizzare il joystick per scorrere i menu e modificare i parametri.
Impostazione protocollo e baud rate su tastiera
 Tenere premuto sulla tastiera il tasto Setup per 3 secondi ed inserire la password di default “8888”
 Premere il tasto Enter sulla tastiera: sul display della tastiera sarà visualizzato PTZ SETUP
 Premere sulla tastiera il tasto Enter e sul display sarà visualizzato CAM: 001
 Inserire con il tastierino numerico le tre cifre dell’indirizzo PTZ della dome collegata per cui si desidera cambiare le
impostazioni di fabbrica relativo al tipo di protocollo e baud rate; in alternativa è possibile spostare il joystick a destra e
sinistra per incrementare o decrementare il numero del dispositivo PTZ da programmare.
 Dopo aver selezionato l’indirizzo premere il tasto Enter per confermare, sul display della tastiera sarà visualizzato
PROTOCOL: Pelco-D (protocollo utilizzato sui prodotti Urmet Domus);
 Movimentare il joystick verso destra per modificare il tipo di protocollo e sulla tastiera saranno visualizzati gli altri
protocolli
 Premere Enter per confermare il buzzer della tastiera notificherà che la modifica è avvenuta correttamente
 Movimentare il joystick verso il basso o verso l’alto per selezionare il baud rate e sulla tastiera sarà visualizzato il
valore di baud rate BAUD RATE:9600

 Per modificare il valore di baud rate movimentare il joystick verso sinistra o verso destra
 Premere Enter per confermare, il buzzer della tastiera notificherà che la modifica è avvenuta correttamente
 Dopo aver completato le impostazioni premere il tasto Esc per 3 volte per tornare alla modalità di gestione della dome.
NOTA BENE
Se si desidera impostare lo stesso tipo di protocollo e stesso valore di baud rate per tutti gli indirizzi, quando sul display
della tastiera è visualizzato CAM: 001 spostare verso l’alto o verso il basso il joystick fino a quando non sarà visualizzato
CAM: 0-255, dopodiché selezionare il tipo di protocollo e il valore di baud rate desiderato.
Impostazione dei parametri di sistema
 Tenere premuto sulla tastiera il tasto Setup per 3 secondi ed inserire la password di default “8888”
 Premere il tasto Enter sulla tastiera: sul display della tastiera sarà visualizzato PTZ SETUP
 Muovere il joystick verso il basso e sul display della tastiera sarà visualizzato SYS SETUP
 Muovere il joystick verso il basso e sul display della tastiera sarà visualizzato:
• PW SETUP: è possibile modificare la password di setup (cioè impostare la nuova password sostituendo
quella di default “8888” per modificare le impostazioni dei parametri della tastiera).
• DEFAULT SETUP: ripristinare i parametri di fabbrica.
• SOUND SET: abilitare/disabilitare il tono dei tasti.
• HOST ID SET: impostare l’ID Tastiera.

Premere sulla tastiera il tasto Search e sul display sarà visualizzato protocollo e baud rate. Movimentando il joystick
verso il basso è possibile visualizzare le informazioni dei parametri PTZ impostati sulla tastiera quali protocollo e baud
rate o le impostazioni riguardanti i parametri di sistema impostati sulla tastiera (password, tono tasti, password per
protezione tastiera, ID tastiera, ecc.)

Nota Bene
• Assicurarsi che nel menù del DVR l’ID del dispositivo sia stato impostato l’indirizzo del DVR. Tale indirizzo dovrà essere
selezionato dalla tastiera per la connessione al DVR.
• Assicurarsi che le Easy Dome collegate siano impostate come “Pelco D” con un baudrate di 9600 bps.
• La massima estensione dell’impianto è quella tipica dello standard RS-485: 1000 metri.
• Assicurarsi che ai capi delle linee RS-485 siano inserite le adeguate resistenze di terminazione.

1 GENERAL INFORMATION
This manual contains a description and the installation instructions of the Urmet Domus multifunctional keyboard Ref. 1092/694.
1.1 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The URMET Domus keyboard Ref.1092/694 is to remotely control URMET Domus Easy Dome and in general other PTZ or
DVR devices. It is capable of receiving Pelco-D type controls on RS485 line.

1.2 OPENING THE PACKAGE
Check that the packing and the contents are not visibly damaged. Do not attempt to work the unit if components are missing or
damaged. Contact the retailer immediately. Pack the unit in it original packing if it needs to be replaced.

1.3 WARNINGS
1.3.1 POWER
 This device is powered in the range from 100 to 240 VAC. Check the power voltage before connecting.
 Use of an URMET Domus power unit with the required specifications is recommended.
 Do not pull the cable to unplug the device.
Important note:
Inverting the polarity may damage the keyboard.
1.3.2 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
 Keep the device away from rain and humidity to prevent the risk of fire and electrocution.
 Do not introduce solids or liquids inside the device to prevent the risk of fire and electrocution. If this should
accidentally occur, disconnect the device from the mains and have it inspected by qualified personnel.
 Never open the device. In all cases, contact qualified personnel or the service centre for repairs.
1.3.3 INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS
 Arrange the device in a well-ventilated place to prevent overheating.
 For the same reason, do not install sources of heat, such as radiators or hot air ducts. Keep away from direct sunlight.
Do not install in areas subject to excessive dust, mechanical vibrations or shocks.
 Consider the working temperature of the unit (from 5°C to 45°C) and humidity range (from 10% to 90%) before
choosing the installation location. High differences in temperature with respect to the specified working temperature
range can damage the unit. Do not install the unit over another unit which generates heat.
 Wait for a while before operating a device immediately after transporting it from a cold place to a warm place and vice
versa. Wait on average for three hours: this will allow the device to adapt to the new ambient (temperature, humidity,
etc.).
 Do not arrange this device on an unstable surface, such as a tottering or slanted table. The device could fall causing
injury or mechanical failures.
 Do not install the device in a place where it could be exposed to humidity or water. Do not direct a jet of water onto the
device: risk of fire, electrocution or mechanical failure.
 Stop using the device if water or other material should penetrate inside: risk of fire and electrocution. Contact the
retailer or authorised installer.
1.3.4 CLEANING THE DEVICE
 Rub delicately with a dry cloth to remove dust and dirt.
 Dip the cloth in neutral detergent if dirt cannot be eliminated with a dry cloth alone.
 Do not use volatile liquids (such as petrol, alcohol, solvents, etc.) or chemically treated clothes to clean the device to
prevent deformation, deterioration or scratches to the surface finish.

2.3 LCD DISPLAY
All operations will be shown on the display immediately.
The display will automatically go to power saving mode if no button is pressed for about 30 seconds.

Important note:

3 PASSWORD AND ACCESS TO KEYBOARD
The 1092/694 keyboard manages two 4-digit passwords:
 one Password for the system administrator, to perform any operations on Dome and keyboard (default value:
“8888”);

For all programming operations with keyboard, use the joystick to scroll menus and change parameters.
Protocol and baud rate configuration on keyboard
 On the keyboard, keep the button Setup pressed for 3 seconds and enter the default password “8888”
 On the keyboard, press the button Enter: the keypad display will show PTZ SETUP
 On the keyboard, press the button Enter; the keypad display will show CAM: 001
 With the numeric keyboard, enter the three digits of the PTZ address of the dome connected, to change protocol type
and baud rate default configuration of this dome; alternatively, move the joystick right or left to increase or decrease
the PTZ device number to be programmed.
 After selecting the address, press the button Enter to confirm; the keyboard display will show PROTOCOL: Pelco-D
(protocol used in Urmet Domus products);
 Move the joystick right to change protocol type; the keyboard display will show the other protocols
 Press Enter to confirm; the keyboard buzzer will confirm that the change has been successfully executed.
 Move the joystick up or down to select the baud rate; the keyboard display will show the baud rate value BAUD
RATE:9600
 To change the baud rate value move the joystick left or right

 Press Enter to confirm; the keyboard buzzer will confirm that the change has been successfully executed.
 After all the configurations have been completed, press the button Esc for 3 times to go back to Dome management
mode.
Important note:
If the same protocol type or the same baud rate value must be configured for all the addresses, when the keyboard display
shows CAM: 001, move the joystick up or down until the display shows CAM: 0-255, then select the desired protocol type
and the baud rate value.
System parameters configuration
 On the keyboard, keep the button Setup pressed for 3 seconds and enter the default password “8888”
 On the keyboard, press the button Enter: the keypad display will show PTZ SETUP
 Move the joystick down; the keyboard display will show SYS SETUP
 Move the joystick down; the keyboard display will show:
• PW SETUP: the setup password can be changed (that is, it is possible to configure the new password,
replacing the default password “8888” to change keyboard parameters).
• DEFAULT SETUP: restore factory default settings.
• SOUND SET: enable/disable button sound.
• HOST ID SET: configure keyboard ID.
Keyboard info
On the keyboard, press the button Search; the display will show protocol and baud rate. Move the joystick down to
display information about PTZ parameters configured on the keyboard, as protocol and baud rate, or settings
concerning system parameters configured on the keyboard (password, button sound, password for keyboard
protection, keyboard ID, etc.)

• Check that in the DVR menu the device ID has been configured with the DVR address. This address will be selected in the
keyboard for the connection to the DVR.
• Make sure that the connected Easy Dome is set as “Pelco D” with a baud rate of 9600 bps.
• The max. system extension is that of RS-485 standard: 1000 metres.
• Make sure that appropriate terminal resistors are inserted at the RS-485 line ends.
