NORMAS GENERALES DE SEGURIDAD
Esta LIJADORA ORBITAL tiene características
que harán su trabajo más rápido y fácil. Segu-
ridad, comodidad y confiabilidad fueron previs-
tos como prioridad para el diseño del mismo,
haciendo más fácil su operación.
ADVERTENCIA: Lea todas las advertencias
de seguridad y todas las instrucciones. La omi-
sión de alguna de las advertencias e instruccio-
nes que se enlistan a continuación puede dar
como resultado un choque eléctrico, fuego y/o
un daños serios. CONSERVE TODAS LAS ADVER-
TENCIAS Y TODAS LAS INSTRUCCIONES.
NOTA: La expresión “herramienta” en las adver-
tencias se refiere a la herramienta eléctrica que
se conecta a la fuente de alimentación (con ca-
ble) o a la herramienta que se acciona a batería
(sin cable).
SEGURIDAD EN EL ÁREA DE TRABAJO
Mantenga el área de trabajo limpia y bien ilu-
minada. Las áreas desordenadas y oscuras pro-
vocan accidentes.
No maneje herramientas eléctricas en atmós-
feras explosivas, tales como en presencia de
líquidos inflamables, gases o polvo. Las herra-
mientas eléctricas crean chispas que pueden en-
cender el polvo o los humos.
Mantenga alejados a los niños y curiosos mien-
tras maneja una herramienta eléctrica. Las dis-
tracciones pueden causarle la pérdida del con-
trol.
SEGURIDAD ELÉCTRICA
La clavija de la herramienta eléctrica debe
coincidir con receptáculo. No modificar nunca
la clavija de ninguna manera. No usar ningún
adaptador de clavijas con herramientas eléctri-
cas puestas a tierra. Clavijas no modificadas y
bases coincidentes reducirán el riesgo de cho-
que eléctrico.
Evite el contacto del cuerpo con superficies
puestas a tierra como tuberías, radiadores, co-
cinas eléctricas y refrigeradores. Hay un riesgo
aumentado de choque eléctrico si su cuerpo está
puesto a tierra.
No exponga las herramientas eléctricas a la llu-
via o a condiciones de humedad. El agua que
entre en la herramienta aumentará el riesgo de
choque eléctrico.
No abuse del cable. No usar nunca el cable para
llevar, levantar o desenchufar la herramienta
eléctrica. Mantenga el cable lejos del calor, acei-
te, cantos vivos o piezas en movimiento. Los
cables dañados o enredados aumentan el riesgo
de choque eléctrico.
Cuando maneje una herramienta eléctrica en el
exterior, use una prolongación de cable adecua-
da para uso en el exterior. El uso de una prolon-
gación de cable adecuada para uso en el exte-
rior reduce el riesgo de choque eléctrico.
Si el uso de una herramienta en un lugar hú-
medo es inevitable, use una alimentación pro-
tegida por un dispositivo de corriente residual
(RCD). El uso de un RCD reduce el riesgo de cho-
que eléctrico.
EXTENSIONES DE CABLE
NOTA: El uso de cables dañados incrementa el
riesgo de descargas eléctricas o quemaduras.
Si es necesario un cable de extensión, debe ser
usado un cable con el tamaño adecuado de los
conductores. La tabla de la siguiente página,
muestra el tamaño correcto para usar depen-
diendo en la longitud del cable y el rango de
amperaje especificado en la etiqueta de valores
nominales del producto. Si está en duda, use el
rango próximo más grande.
Siempre use cables de extensión listados en UL,
CSA ó NOM. TAMAÑOS RECOMENDADOS DE
EXTENSIONES DE CABLE:
Cuando esté usando el producto afuera, use
una extensión para exteriores marcadas con lo
siguiente: “WA” o “W”. Estas extensiones están
pensadas para trabajar en exteriores y reducen
el riesgo de descarga eléctrica.

SEGURIDAD PERSONAL
Esté alerta, vigile lo que está haciendo y use el
sentido común cuando maneje una herramien-
ta eléctrica. No use una herramienta eléctrica
cuando esté cansado o bajo la influencia de
drogas, alcohol o medicamentos. Un momento
de distracción mientras maneja herramientas
eléctricas puede causar un daño personal serio.
Use equipo de seguridad. Lleve siempre protec-
ción para los ojos. La utilización para las con-

diciones apropiadas de un equipo de seguridad
tal como mascarilla antipolvo, zapatos no resba-
ladizos, gorro duro, o protección para los oídos
reducirá los daños personales.
Evite un arranque accidental. Asegúrese de que
el interruptor está en posición apagado antes
de conectar a la red y/o a la batería, coger o
transportar la herramienta. Transportar herra-
mientas eléctricas con el dedo sobre el interrup-
tor o enchufar herramientas eléctricas que tie-
nen en interruptor en posición encendido invita
a accidentes.
Retire llaves o herramienta antes de arrancar la
herramienta eléctrica. Una llave o herramienta
dejada unida a una pieza rotativa de una herra-
mienta eléctrica puede causar un daño personal.
No se sobrepase. Mantenga los pies bien asen-
tados sobre el suelo y conserve el equilibrio en
todo momento. Esto permite un mejor control
de la herramienta eléctrica en situaciones ines-
peradas.
Vista adecuadamente. No vista ropa suelta o jo-
yas. Mantenga su pelo, su ropa y guantes aleja-
dos de las piezas en movimiento. La ropa suelta,
las joyas o el pelo largo pueden ser cogidos en
las piezas en movimiento.
Si hay dispositivos para la conexión de medios
de extracción y recolección de polvo, asegúrese
de que éstos estén conectados y se usen correc-
tamente. El uso de estos dispositivos puede re-
ducir los peligros relacionados con el polvo.
IMPORTANTE: Este aparato no se destina
para utilizarse por personas (incluyendo niños)
cuyas capacidades físicas, sensoriales o mentales
sean diferentes o estén reducidas, o carezcan de
experiencia o conocimiento, a menos que dichas
personas reciban una supervisión o capacitación
para el funcionamiento del aparato por una
persona responsable de su seguridad. Los niños
deben supervisarse para asegurar que ellos no
empleen los aparatos como juguete.
UTILIZACIÓN Y CUIDADOS DE LAS
HERRAMIENTAS ELÉCTRICAS
No fuerce la herramienta eléctrica. Use la he-
rramienta eléctrica correcta para su aplicación.
La herramienta eléctrica correcta hará el traba-
jo mejor y más seguro al ritmo para la que fue
concebida.
No use la herramienta eléctrica si el interruptor
no acciona “encendido” y “apagado”. Cualquier
herramienta eléctrica que no pueda controlarse
con el interruptor es peligrosa y debe repararse.
Desconecte la clavija de la fuente de alimenta-
ción y/o de la batería antes de efectuar cual-
quier ajuste, cambio de accesorios, o de alma-
cenar las herramientas eléctricas. Tales medidas
preventivas de seguridad reducen el riesgo de
arrancar la herramienta accidentalmente.
Almacene las herramientas eléctricas inactivas
fuera del alcance de los niños y no permita el
manejo de la herramienta eléctrica a personas
no familiarizadas con las herramientas o con
estas instrucciones. Las herramientas eléctricas
son peligrosas en manos de usuarios no entre-
nados.
Mantenga las herramientas eléctricas. Com-
pruebe que las partes móviles no estén desa-
lineadas o trabadas, que no haya piezas rotas
u otras condiciones que puedan afectar la ope-
ración de las herramientas eléctricas. Las herra-
mientas eléctricas se reparan antes de su uso,
cuando están dañadas. Muchos accidentes son
causados por herramientas eléctricas pobremen-
te mantenidas.
Mantenga las herramientas de corte afiladas y
limpias. Las herramientas de corte mantenidas
correctamente con los bordes de corte afilados
son menos probables de trabarse y más fáciles
de controlar.
Use la herramienta eléctrica, accesorios y pun-
tas de herramienta, etc. de acuerdo con estas
instrucciones y de la manera prevista para el
tipo particular de herramienta eléctrica, tenien-
do en cuenta las condiciones de trabajo y el tra-
bajo a desarrollar. El uso de la herramienta eléc-
trica para aplicaciones diferentes de las previstas
podría causar una situación de peligro.
SERVICIO: Haga revisar su herramienta eléctrica
por un servicio de reparación calificado usando
solamente piezas de reemplazo idénticas. Esto
garantizará que la seguridad de la herramienta
eléctrica se mantiene.
ADVERTENCIAS DE SEGURIDAD
PARA LIJADORAS ORBITALES
• Siempre utilice equipo de seguridad como
lentes y máscara anti-polvo cuando esté lijando,
especialmente si lija sobre su cabeza.
• Esta lijadora no está diseñada para realizar
trabajos de lijado húmedos.
• Asegure bien la lija con las mordazas de la li-
jadora. El no asegurar la lija puede causar daños
al usuario.
• La lijadora cuenta con un cartucho recolector
de polvo. Para conectar el colector de polvo in-
serte el cartucho a la abertura que se encuentra
en la parte posterior de la lijadora.

ADVERTENCIA: Utilice un respirador apro-
piado cuando lije pintura con plomo, algunos
tipos de madera o metales, evite respirar este
tipo de residuos o polvos ya que son dañinos
para la salud.

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
APLICACIONES
• Terminado/pulido en una pieza de trabajo.
• Lijado de superficies en madera o láminas de
metal antes de su pintado, etc.
• Lijado de óxido en superficies de metal.
CARACTERÍSTICAS GENERALES
Esta lijadora es adecuada para lijar con lijas de
grano grueso, medio y fino. Realiza un termina-
do libre de marcas.
Su lijadora es operada a una sola mano, provee
de un máximo confort y control, reduce la fatiga
durante operaciones continuas de lijado.
Esta lijadora cuenta con un colector de polvo
integrado, succiona las particulas de polvo pro-
ducidas en el lijado a travéz de orificios que se
encuentran en la base y lija.
NOTA: Antes de usar su lijadora, familiarícese
con todas las características de la lijadora, su
operación y las instrucciones de seguridad.
SUJETAR LA LIJA (fig. 1)
1.Desenchufe la lijadora.
2.Desenganche el
sujetador empu-
jando el alambre
del sujetador del
lado de la almoha-
dilla hacia el cuer-
po de la lijadora.
3.Alinee el borde de la lija con el borde de la
almohadilla. Inserte la lija debajo del sujetador.
Para asegurar la lija en su lugar, enganche el su-
jetador.
4.Desenganche el sujetador del otro lado de la
lijadora. Estire la lija con fuerza sobre la almoha-
dilla e inserte el borde exterior debajo del suje-
tador en la parte posterior de la lijadora.
5.Alinee el borde de la lija con el borde de la
almohadilla. Para asegurar la lija en su lugar, en-
ganche el sujetador.
NOTA: Antes de colocar una nueva lija, retire el
polvo o los residuos de la almohadilla.
IMPORTANTE: Nunca conecte la lijadora a
la fuente de energía cuando esté ensamblando
piezas, haciendo ajustes, instalando o retirando
la lija, limpiando o cuando no esté en uso. Des-
conectar la lijadora previene el arranque acci-
dental, lo que podría causar lesiones graves.
USANDO LA PLACA DE PERFORACIÓN (fig. 2)

la placa de per-
foración para
perforar los ori-
ficios de aspira-
ción de la hoja.
1.Alinee la placa de perforación con la almoha-
dilla y empuje hacia abajo de la lijadora hasta
que la placa de perforación atraviese la lija.
2.Remueva la placa de perforación de la almo-
hadilla.
COLECTOR DE POLVO (fig. 3)

El contenedor
de polvo es
ideal para trabajos pequeños. Para una máxima
eficiencia, el contenedor de polvo debe vaciarse
frecuentemente durante la operación.
Para instalar:
1.Desconecte la lijadora de la fuente de energía.
2.Alinee la ranura del contenedor de polvo con
la costilla de la herramienta, y luego empuje el
contenedor de polvo contra la herramienta has-
ta que encaje en su lugar.
Para remover:
1.Desconecte la lijadora de la fuente de energía.

ENCENDER Y APAGAR LA LIJADORA (fig. 6)
Para encender la

con una “I”. Para
apagarlo, presione

LIJADO
Esta lijadora puede ser usada para la mayoría
de trabajos de lijado sobre materiales como ma-
dera, plástico, metal, y superficies pintadas. Do
use la lijadora para lijar superficies húmedas o
mojadas.
1. Enchufe la lijadora a la fuente de poder.
2. Coloque la lijadora sobre la pieza de trabajo
de tal manera que la lija esté en completo con-
tacto con la superficie
3. Encienda la lijadora.
4. Para mejores resultados de lijado, aplique una
ligera presión sobre la lijadora, pero no fuerce la
herramienta.
5. Mueva lentamente la lijadora sobre la pieza
de trabajo. Haciendo recorridos en línea para-
lela, círculos, o movimientos perpendiculares. El
ritmo de eliminación de material y el patrón de
lijado están determinados por el tipo de lija y la
superficie de trabajo.
6. No deje la lijadora en un mismo punto por
mucho tiempo, la rápida acción de la lijadora
podría remover demasiado material y hacer que
la superficie quede irregular.
7. Cuando termine el trabajo de lijado, quite
la lijadora de la pieza de trabajo, apáguela y
espere a que se detenga completamente para
dejarla.
ADVERTENCIAS: Para evitar accidentes, siem-
pre desconecte la herramienta de la fuente de
poder antes de limpiar o realizar cualquier tipo
de mantenimiento. La herramienta se puede
limpiar más efectivamente con aire comprimido
seco. Siempre use lentes de seguridad cuando
limpie herramientas con aire comprimido.
• No permita que líquidos como gasolina, pro-
ductos con base de petróleo, aceite, etc. entre
en contacto con piezas de plástico. Estas sustan-
cias contienen sustancias químicas que pueden
dañar, debilitar, o destruir el PLÁSTICO.
• Cuando realice el mantenimiento, use sólo
piezas de repuesto idénticas. El uso de cualquier
otra pieza puede crear un peligro o dañar el
producto.
• Utilice únicamente los accesorios recomenda-
dos para esta herramienta. Los accesorios que

LIMPIE Y VACÍE DEL CONTENEDOR DE POL-
VO (fig. 4)

micro-filtro presio-
nando el botón de
liberación.
3.Sacuda el exceso de polvo del micro-filtro, o
remueva el polvo con un cepillo suave. Notará
que no sale todo el polvo del micro-filtro. Esto
no afectará el rendimiento del lijado, pero re-
ducirá la eficiencia de la recolección de polvo.
ADVERTENCIA: Tenga mucho cuidado con la
eliminación del polvo; los materiales en forma
de partículas finas pueden ser explosivos. No
arroje el polvo de la lijadora al fuego. La com-
bustión de la mezcla de barnices, lacas, poliu-
retano, aceite o agua con partículas de polvo
puede ocurrir si hay una descarga estática, si
una chispa entra en el recipiente o si se da un
calor excesivo.
COLOCACION DE LA MANGUERA DE LA AS-
PIRADORA (fig. 5)
Cuando el contenedor de polvo es retirado de
la herramienta, un accesorio de la manguera de
la aspiradora (no incluido) puede conectarse al
puerto de polvo. Para usar esta función, conec-
te la manguera de la aspiradora al puerto de
polvo, luego conecte el extremo opuesto de la
manguera a la aspiradora. Se incluye un adap-
tador de aspiradora 2 en 1 para la conexión de
esta herramienta a una manguera de 1 7/8 o 2
1/2” (4.8 o 6.4 cm). Una manguera de 1 1/4” (3.2
cm) puede ser conectado directamente a esta
herramienta sin un adaptador.

MANTENIMIENTO
FILTRO
Vacíe el filtro del cartucho cuando se llene, se
recomienda utilizar aire comprimido para reali-
zar una mejor limpieza. Para mantener en esta-
do óptimo el funcionamiento de su herramienta
reemplace el filtro regularmente.
LIJAS
Inspeccione la lija. El utilizar lijas muy desgas-
tadas provocaran que se degrade la eficiencia
de lijado y podría ocasionar daños a la esponja,
reemplace la lija cuando note una abrasión y
desgaste excesivo.
TORNILLOS
Inspeccione regularmente los tornillos y asegú-
rese que se encuentren bien apretados. Cual-
quier tornillo que se encuentre suelto, se tiene
que apretar inmediatamente, el no hacerlo pue-
de causar daños severos.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES
Your SANDER has many features that will make
your job faster and easier. Safety, performance
and reliability have been given top priority in
the design of this tool, qualities to make easy to
maintain and to operate.
WARNING: Read and understand all instruc-
tions. Failure to follow all indications listed be-
low, may result in electric shock, fire and/or seri-
ous personal injury.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
SAFETY IN WORKING AREA
Keep your work area clean and well lit. Clut-
tered benches and dark areas may cause acci-
dents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmo-
spheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Some power tools create
sparks which may provoke fire.
Keep away observers, children and visitors
while operating a power tool. Distractions can
cause you to lose control.
ELECTRIC SAFETY
Double insulation eliminates the need for the
three wire grounded power cord and grounded
power supply system.
Avoid the body contact with grounded surfaces
such as pipes, radiators and refrigerators. There
is an increased risk of electric shock if your body
is grounded.
Don’t expose power tools to rain or wet condi-
tions. The precense of water into power tools
will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse of the power cord. Never use the
power cord to carry the tool and do not pull
the plug off the outlet. Keep the cable away of
heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Replace
damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords in-
crease the risk of electric shock.
When operating a power tool outside, use an
outdoor extension cord marked “W-A” or “W”.
These cords are rated for outdoor use and re-
duce the risk of electric shock.
EXTENSION CORDS
Replace damaged cords immediately. The use
of damaged cords can shock, burn or electric
shock. If an extension cord is necessary, a cord
with adequate size conductors should be used
to prevent excessive voltage drop, loss of power
or overheating. The table below shows the cor-
rect size to use, depending on cord length and
nameplate amperage rating of tools. In case of
doubt use the next heavier gauge. Always use
UL listed extension cords.
SIZE RECOMMEND EXTENSION CABLES
PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating a power tool.
Don’t use the tool if you are tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of inattention while operating power
tools may cause a serious personal injury.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewelry. Contain long hair. Keep your hair, cloth-
ing and gloves away of moving parts. Loose
clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in
moving parts.
Avoid an accidental starting. Be sure that the
switch is OFF before plugging in. Carrying tools
with the finger on the switch or plug in the tool
switch in ON may cause accidents.
Remove the adjusting keys or wrenches before
turning the tool on. A wrench or a key that is
left close to a rotating part of the tool may pro-
voke a personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and bal-
ance at all times. Proper footing and balance
enables better control of the tools on unexpect-
ed situations.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protec-
tion. Dust mask, nonskid safety shoes, hard hat,
or hearing protection must be used for appro-
priate conditions.
Before connecting the tool to a power source
(receptacle, outlet, etc.) be sure that the voltage
supplied is the same as that one specified on
the nameplate of the tool. To use a not specified
voltage may cause a serious injury to the user as
well as damage the tool.
IMPORTANT: This appliance is not intended
for use by persons (including children) with re-
duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
may be different or reduced, or lack of experi-
ence or knowledge, unless such persons are su-

pervised or trained to operate the product by
a person responsible for their safety. Children
should be supervised to ensure they do not use
the devices as toys.
TOOL USE AND CARE
Do not force the power tool. Use the correct
tool for the application. The correct tool will do
the job better and more safely at the rate that it
was designed to work at.
Do not use tools if switch does not turn it on or
off. Any tool that cannot be controlled with the
switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source be-
fore making any adjustments, changing acces-
sories or storing the tool. This preventive safety
measures reduce the risk of accidental starting
of the tool.
When the power tool is not in use, store it out
of the reach of children, and do not allow in-
dividuals who are not familiar with the power
tool or these instructions to operate it. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands on untrained
users.
Maintain the power tool. Check for misalign-
ment or binding of moving parts, broken parts,
and any other condition that may affect the
operation of the power tool. If it is damaged,
have it repaired before using. Many accidents
are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
Check for misalignment or bonding of moving
parts, breakage parts, and any other condition
that may affect the tools operation. If you find
a damaged tool, take it to service before use it.
Use only accessories that are recommended by
the manufacturer of your model. Suitable ac-
cessories for one tool, may become hazardous
when are used on another tool.
Keep cutting tools, sharpened and clean. Cut-
ting tools in good condition with sharpened
edges, are less likely to stuck in workpieces or
easier to control.
Is recommendable to use a safety device suit-
able, such a thermal and differential switch
when you are using an electric equipment.
SERVICE
Tool service must be performed only by quali-
fied repair personnel. Service or maintenance
performed by unqualified personnel could re-
sult in a risk of injury.
SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES FOR
ORBITAL SANDERS
• Always wear safety goggles and dust mask
when sanding, especially sanding over-head.
• This machine is not suitable for wet sanding.
• Dust collector must be equipped with the tool
and must be emptied frequently. To connect
dust collector insert adapter to the dust-collec-
tion opening on the rear end of the sander.
WARNING: A Suitable breathing respirator
must be worn during sanding over lead paint,
some woods and metal to avoid unintentional
breathing the harmful/toxic dust or air.

GENERAL FEATURES
This sander is suitable for sanding with coarse,
medium and fine grit sandpaper. It will produce
a fine scratch-free finish when used to sand on
wood surfaces.
This sander has a comfortable palm grip handle
that provides maximum one-hand comfort that
reduces operator fatigue during continuous
sanding operations.
This orbital sander has a built-in dust collection
system that collects dust through punched holes
in the sandpaper and cushion.
NOTE: Before attempting to use the sander,
familiarize yourself with all operating features
and safety requirements.

ATTACHING THE SANDPAPER (fig 1)
1. Unplug the sand-
er.
2. Disengage the
sandpaper clamp
by pushing the wire
clamp on the side
of the sanding pad
towards the sander
body.
3. Line up the edge of the sandpaper with the
edge of the sanding pad. Insert the sandpaper
under the clamp. To lock the sandpaper in place,
engage the clamp.
4. Disengage the clamp on the other side of the
sander. Stretch the sandpaper tightly over the
foam pad and insert the outer edge under the
clamp at the rear of the sander.
5. Align the edge of the sandpaper with the
edge of the sanding pad. To lock the sandpaper
in place, engage the clamp.
NOTICE: Before attaching a new sanding sheet,
remove any dust or debris from the sanding pad.
IMPORTANT: Never connect the sander to
the power source when you are assembling
parts, making adjustments, installing or remov-
ing sandpaper, cleaning, or when it is not in use.
Disconnecting the sander will prevent acciden-
tal starting, which could cause serious personal
injury.
USING THE PUNCH PLATE (fig 2)
After the sandpaper
has been clamped
to the sanding pad,
use the punch plate
to punch the vac-
uum holes into the
sheet.
1. Align the punch
plate with the sanding pad and push down on
the sander until the punch plate pierces the
sandpaper.
2. Remove the punch plate from the sanding
pad.
DUST CANISTER (fig 3)
Your sander is
supplied with a
dust canister to
help you keep
the working area
clean. The dust
canister is ideal for
smaller jobs. For
maximum efficiency, the dust canister should be
emptied frequently during operation.
To install:
1. Disconnect the sander from the power source.
2. Align the slot on the dust canister with the
rib on the tool, and then push the dust canister
onto the tool until it locks into place.
To remove:
1. Disconnect the sander from the power source.
2. Pull the dust canister out and away from the
tool.
CLEANING AND EMPTYING THE DUST CAN-
ISTER (fig 4)
1. Remove the dust
canister from the
tool.
2. Holding the
dust-canister body,
press the release
button to free the
microfilter. Pull the
microfilter from the dust canister.
3. Knock excess dust out of the microfilter, or re-
move dust with a soft brush. You may noticethat
all the dust may not come out of the microfilter.
This will not affect sanding performance but
will reduce dust collection efficiency.
ATTACHING VACUUM HOSE (fig 5)
When the dust canister is removed from the tool,
a vacuum hose accessory (available separately)
can be attached to the dust port. To use this fea-
ture, attach the vacuum hose to the dust port,
then connect the opposite end of the vacuum
hose to a shop vacuum cleaner. A 2-in-1 vacuum
adaptor is included for connection of this tool to
a 1 7/8 or 2 1/2” (4.8 or 6.4 cm) vacuum hose. A
1 1/4” (3.2 cm) vacuum hose may be connected
directly to the tool without an adaptor.

To turn it off, depress the side of the rocker
switch marked “O”.
SANDING
This sander can be used for most sanding op-
erations on materials such as wood, plastic and
painted surfaces. Do not use the sander for wet
sanding.
1. Plug the sander into the power source.
2. Place the sander on the workpiece so that the
sandpaper is fully in contact with the workpiece.
3. Start the sander.
4. For best sanding results, apply light pressure
on the sander, but do not force the tool.
5. Move the sander slowly over the workpiece,
making successive passes in parallel lines, circles,
or crosswise movements. The removal rate and
the sanding pattern are determined by the
choice of sandpaper and the work surface.
6. Do not allow the sander to stay on one spot
for too long, as the sander’s rapid action may re-
move too much material and make the surface
uneven.
7. Upon completion of the sanding operation,
remove the sander from the workpiece, turn the
sander off, and wait until it comes to a complete
stop before putting it down.
WARNING: To avoid accidents, always dis-
connect the tool from the power supply be-
fore cleaning or performing any maintenance.
The tool may be cleaned most effectively with
compressed dry air. Always wear safety goggles
when cleaning tools with compressed air.
• Do not let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oil, etc. come into
contact with plastic parts. These substances con-
tain chemicals that can damage, weaken, or de-
stroy plastic.
• When servicing, use only identical replace-
ment parts. The use of any other parts may cre-
ate a hazard or cause damage to the product.
• Use only accessories that are recommended
for this tool. Accessories that may be suitable
for one tool may become hazardous when used
with another tool.
• To ensure safety and reliability, all repairs
should be performed by a qualified service tech-
nician.

make a greater cleaning. To keep in optimal
function of your sander replace filter regularly.

TROUBLESHOOTING
SANDPAPER
Inspect the sandpaper. The use of worn-out
sandpaper will degrade efficiency and cause
possible damage to the pad, replace the sand-
paper as soon an excessive abrasion is noted.
MOUNTING SCREWS
Regularly inspect all mounting screws and en-
sure that they are properly tightened. Should
any of the screws be loose, retighten them
immediately. Failure to follow this instruction
could result in serious hazard.
