INTRODUCTION
TheLASERFD100cFloppyDiskDrivehas
beenbuiltto matchperfectlywithLASER
PersonalComputers.
Thisunitallowsyoutomakedatastorage
andretrievalfast,quietandsure.
AlthoughdesignedspecificallyforLASER
computers,theFD100cDiskDrivealso
matchwithAPPLEIIcorcompatible
computers.
HOWTOGETCONNECTED
1)TurnOFFallpowertocomputer.
2)Plugtheconnectoronthecable
providedwiththediskdriveintothe
socketmarked"EXT.DRIVE"("DO"for
theAPPLE®IIc)atthebackofthe
computer.
3)Tightentheretainingscrews.
4)Openthediskdrivedoorbyturning
theknobhorizontally.
5)Removethecardboardprotectionsheet
ifitisstillinside.

INSERTINGANDREMOVINGDISKETTES
1)Toinsertdiskette,openthediskdrive
doorbyturningtheknobhorizontally,
pushinthediskettesothatthelabel
goesinlast.
2)Closethedoorbyturningtheknob
vertically.
3)Toremovediskette,alwaysopenthe
dooraftertheredlightinthepanelis
off.
CAUTION
1)Avoidfromheavyshockorvibration.
2)Donot putanyheavyobjectonthe
cabinet.
3)Donot stoptheventilationgapsinthe
topcabinet.
4)Keepthisunitoutofdirectsunlight.
5)Operatethisunitatambient
temperaturebetween5 ~ 35° C and
avoidoperationorstorageatwhere
rapidtemperaturechangehappens.
6)Occasionallycleanthediskdrive's
read/writeheadwitha diskdrive
cleaningkit.

Thisequipmentgeneratesandusesradiofrequencyenergy.If
itisnotinstalledandusedproperly,thatis,instrict
accordancewiththemanufacturer'sinstructions,itmaycause
interferencetoradioandtelevisionreception.
Ithasbeentypetestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimits
fora ClassB computingdeviceinaccordancewiththe
specificationsinSubpartJ,Part15,ofFCCRules.These
rulesaredesignedtoprovidereasonableprotectionagainst
suchinterferenceina residentialinstallation.However,there
isnoguaranteethatinterferencewillnotoccurina particular
installation.
Ifthisequipmentdoescauseinterferencetoradioortelevision
reception,whichcanbedeterminedbyturningtheequipment
offandon,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrectthe
interferencebyoneormoreofthefollowingmeasures:
*Reorientthereceivingantenna
*Relocatethecomputerwithrespecttothereceiver
*Movethecomputerawayfromthereceiver
*Plugthecomputerintoa differentoutletsothat
computerandreceiverareondifferentbranchcircuits
