INTRODUCTION
Keep your secrets safe with the Secret Safe Locker by VTech®!
This is your super secret locker with 3 built-in compartments that are
perfect for storing and protecting your treasures! Unlock the secret
locker with your very own 6-digit passcode to keep your secrets safe
inside. Features an alarm clock and fun games. Enjoy the built-in
music or connect your music player (not included) to listen to your
favourite music! Make your locker even more unique by customising
it thanks to the cool stickers included!

WARNING:
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks,
removable tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not
part of this toy and should be discarded for your child’s safety.
NOTE:
Please keep this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.
Unlock the Packaging Locks:
GETTING STARTED
The Secret Safe Locker is in try-me mode in the packaging. To
exit try-me mode, press and hold the Reset Button (located in the
battery compartment with the word “RESET”) for around 1 second.
You will enter the time setting page when try-me mode is unlocked.
Notes:
The batteries included in the unit are for demo purposes only.
Please replace with new battery for the best performance.
Rotate the packaging locks 90 degrees
anticlockwise.
Pull out the packaging locks and discard.

INITIAL SET-UP
1. TIME SET-UP
When you first use the Secret Safe Locker, you will need to set the
time. Press the Left or Right Button to select and then press the
Number Buttons to input the time, press the OK Button to confirm.
2. PASSCODE SET-UP
Press the Number Buttons to create a 6-digit passcode, press the
OK Button to confirm.
BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the
back of the unit. Use a screwdriver
to loosen the screw and then
open the battery cover.
3. If used batteries are present, remove
these batteries from the unit by pulling
up on one end of each battery.
4. Install 3 new AA (LR6/AM-3)
batteries following the diagram
inside the battery box. (For best
performance, alkaline batteries or
fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable
batteries are recommended).
5. Replace the battery cover and
tighten the screw to secure.
WARNING:
Adult assembly required for battery installation.
Keep batteries out of reach of children.

IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
• Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable
batteries.
• Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended
are to be used.
• Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
• Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
• Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:
• Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging.
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult
supervision.
• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
Disposal of batteries and product
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and
batteries, or on their respective packaging, indicates they
must not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain
substances that can be damaging to the environment and
human health.
The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked,
indicate that the battery contains more than the specified
value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb) set out
in the Batteries and Accumulators Regulation.
The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on the
market after 13th August, 2005.
Help protect the environment by disposing of your product
or batteries responsibly.

Product Features
1. Home Button
Press the Home Button to return to the Main Menu from any
function or activity.
2. Clock Button
Press the Clock Button to display the clock. And press the Left
or Right Button to change the clock style.
3. Left/Right Button
Press the Left or Right Button to scroll through the menu
options on the Main Menu and select an activity or setting.
4. OK Button
Press the OK Button to confirm your selection or setting.
5. Number Buttons
Press the Number Buttons to set or enter the
time and password.

6. Unlock Button
Press the Unlock Button to enter the passcode to unlock and
open the locker. Please close the locker door at any time to keep
your locker safe.
7. RESET Button
Press and hold the Reset Button which is
located inside the battery compartment to
clear all settings and restore factory settings.
Then you will enter the INITIAL SET-UP page
to set the time and passcode.
8. Audio Jack
The Audio Jack is located on the back of the unit. Connect
a music player (not included) to the Locker with the included
3.5mm Audio Cable. The Locker will enter Music mode
automatically, ready to play the music.
9. Automatic Shut-Off
To preserve battery life, the Secret Safe Locker will
automatically power down after several seconds without input.
If the audio cable is plugged in, the screen backlight will turn off
after around 1 minute without input, and will automatically power
down after about 15 minutes without input. The Secret Safe
Locker can be turned on again by pressing any button.
The unit will also automatically turn off when the
battery power is very low. If you see the Low Battery
icon appear on screen, please replace the batteries.
Note:
If the unit repeatedly powers down while playing,
please insert new batteries and try switching it on again.

ACTIVITIES
1. Mystery Time Game
1.1 Wise Words
Press any Number Button to hear wise words.
1.2 Guess Your Lucky Number
Guess your lucky number between 1-10 by pressing
the Number Buttons.
1.3 Magic Rating
Choose 3 of the 15 magic cards to hear your love,
lucky, charm, smart and friendship rating. Press the
OK Button when the card you want to choose is
shown on the screen.
2. Challenge Game
2.1 Break the Code
When the correct number is in the box, press the OK
Button to select the answer to solve the addition,
subtraction or multiplication question. There are 3
difficulty levels. When you manage to unlock 5 locks you will
level up automatically. Once you have unlocked a level you can
choose which level you would like to play next.
2.2 Memory Challenge
Treasure boxes with numbers above them will appear
on the screen. The numbers will then flash randomly
and you need to remember the correct order. Use the
Number Buttons to key in the numbers in the correct
order to answer the question. Correctly complete a sequence
5 times within the specified time to level up. Once you have
unlocked a level you can choose which level you would like to
play next time.

2.3 Treasure Collector
Collect the gems in the treasure chest by pressing
the Left or Right Button. Make sure you avoid the
wrong objects. Collect 15 gems in each level to win
the game. Once you have unlocked a level you can choose
which level you would like to play next.
3. Music Mode
3.1 Music Time
Select a song or melody by pressing the Left or
Right Button. Press the Number Buttons to hear
fun sounds over the top of the melodies.
3.2 Your Favourite Song
Connect your music player (not included) with the included
3.5mm audio cable to listen to your own music.
4. Passcode Setup
Reset the password regularly to ensure secret
security.
5. Time Tools
5.1 Time
Enter this setting to set the time. Press the Left or
Right Button to change the time settings. (The am/
pm setting is only applicable in the 12-hour time
format). Then press the OK Button to confirm and
save.
5.2 Alarm
Enter this setting to set an alarm. Press the Left or
Right Button to:
-Turn the alarm on or off.
-Set the alarm time.
-Select an alarm tune.

Press the OK Button to confirm and save the current setting.
When the alarm sounds, press any button to stop it. If no button
is pressed, the alarm will stop after approximately 60 seconds
and enter sleep mode.
5.3 Timer
Enter this setting to set the timer. Press the Left
or Right Button to change the time. Press the OK
Button to confirm the timer duration, the countdown
will start immediately. While the timer is running, you
can press the OK Button to pause/resume it. When the bell
rings, press any button to stop it. If no button is pressed, the ring
will stop after approximately 60 seconds and enter sleep mode.
6. Settings
6.1 Volume Setting
• Press the Left or Right Button to change the
volume.
6.2 Screen Backlight Setting
• Press the Left or Right Button to turn the backlight
on or off.
6.3 Sticker Setting
• Customise and choose your favourite sticker to
create the sixth clock face.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct
heat source.
3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended
period of time.
4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit
to moisture or water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the program/activity stops working, please follow
these steps:
1. Please turn the unit OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play with
again.
5. If the product still does not work, please install a brand new set
of batteries.
