The Communication KitCommunication Kit is a set consisting of various cable
adapters intended for connecting VACUU·BUS components to a
terminal device.
The
Communication KitCommunication Kit is used for communication between a
terminal device, e.g., a PC, laptop, control panel, or PLC, and
VACUU·BUS-enabled devices. It can be used for rmware
updates, remote control, or remote monitoring.
2.12.1 Communication KitCommunication Kit
The Communication KitCommunication Kit consists of a USB VACUU·BUS
converter (1)(1), various cable adapters (3)(3) and (4)(4), and a
VACUU·BUS Y adapter (2)(2).
The cable adapter (3)(3) labeled is intended
solelyforcommunicatingwithandupdatingVACUU·PUREvacuum
pumps. The other cable adapter (4)(4) is intended for updating and
communicating with suitable VACUU·BUS components.

3.13.1 Cable adapters, generalCable adapters, general
Connect cable adapters
1.1. Disconnect the device power plug or switch off the power
switch.
2.2. Connect all required components of the Communication Kit
as shown in the illustrations in chapter 2.2.
3.3. Connect the VACUU·BUS connector or socket to the
corresponding VACUU·BUS port on the device.
4.4. Connect the USB adapter to a free USB port on your terminal
device and, if required, install the driver software from the
enclosed CD ROM.
5.5. Refer to the manual of the VACUU·BUS component or your
laboratory software for how to install an update or establish
data transfer.
3.23.2 VACUU·PUREVACUU·PURE
The cable adapter labeled is intended
solely for VACUU·PURE vacuum pumps for updates and as a
Modbus RTU interface. Communication can only be established
with suitable software, e.g., LabVIEW, Modbus Poll, etc.
