Do not mount product or any added audio and/or video equipment where it can obstruct the operation of any safety
devices such as the airbag.

Do not let product or any added audio and/or video equipment distract you while you are driving.
BEFORE WIRING, DISCONNECT THE CABLE FROM THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Before starting any installation work , you must wait 90 seconds after turning the ignition switch to the LOCK position and
disconnecting the negative (-) terminal from the battery. The supplemental restraint system (airbag) is equipped with a
backup power source. If installation work is started less 90 seconds after disconnection of the negative (-)battery terminal,
the SRS may deploy. When the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery the clock and audio systems
memory will be erased. Before starting installation work make a record of the clock and audio systems memory settings.
When installation is complete, reset the clock and audio systems to their previous settings . Power tilt, power telescopic
steering column, front power seats, power mirrors, and power shoulder belt anchorage are equipped with a memory
function .The rear power seat is not equipped with a memory function. e and they can make a record of the memory
contents, rear power seat is not equipped with the memory function. When installation is complete, it is necessary to
readjust the features to their previous settings Never use a backup power supply (such as another battery) during
installation work to avoid losing these memory settings.
DO NOT SPLICE INTO ELECTRICAL CABLES
Never cut away cable insulation to supply power to other equipment. Doing so will exceed the current carrying capacity of
the wire and result in fire or electric shock.
DO NOT ALLOW CABLES TO BECOME ENTANGLED IN SURROUNDING OBJECTS
Cables or wiring that obstruct or get caught on places such as the steering wheel, shift lever, brake pedals, etc. can be
extremely hazardous.
DO NOT INSTALL IN LOCATIONS WITH HIGH MOISTURE OR DUST
Moisture or dust may result in product failure.
HAVE THE WIRING AND INSTALLATION DONE BY EXPERTS
The wiring and installation of this product requires special technical skills and experience.
USE ONLY SPECIFIED ACCESSORY PARTS
Use of other than specified parts may damage product internally.
Follow the operational and installation manuals.

entertainment. Welcome to the world of satellite radio. A SiriusXM Vehicle Tuner and Subscription
are required. For more information, visit www.siriusxm.com.
The SiriusXM Radio ID is required for activation and can be found by tuning to Channel 0 as well as
by looking on the label found on the SiriusXM Connect tuner and its packaging.
After installing your SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner and antenna, power on your radio and select
SiriusXM mode. You should be able to hear the SiriusXM preview channel on Channel 1. If you
cannot hear the preview channel, please check the installation instructions to make sure your
SiriusXM Connect tuner is properly installed.
After you can hear the preview channel, tune to Channel 0 to find the Radio ID of your tuner. In
addition, the Radio ID is located on the bottom of the SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner and its
packaging. You will need this number to activate your subscription. Write the number down for
reference.
Note: the SiriusXM Radio ID does not include the letters I, O, S or F.

As part of the activation process, the SiriusXM satellites will send an activation message to your
tuner. When your radio detects that the tuner has received the activation message, your radio will
display: “SUBSCR UPDATE...” “< please wait >”. Once subscribed, you can tune to channels in
your subscription plan. Note, the activation process usually takes 10 to 15 minutes, but may take up
to an hour. Your radio will need to be powered on and receiving the SiriusXM signal to receive the
activation message.

Installation
Remove the factory original USB Female Cable from the fairing pocket and
replace with the USB Female Cable from the GSR-HM51.
Connect the factory original USB Female Cable (which was removed from
the fairing pocket) to the USB Male Cable from the GSR-HM51 which is
labeled “SAT Radio”. Apply silicone or other waterproong material to
the exterior of these USB connectors to make a watertight seal.

Connect the GSR-HM51 to 12V power. Note that all power wires must be
connected, and the Pink and Yellow +12V wires must be connected to
constant battery power.

Place the magnetic mount antenna where it has a clear unobstructed view
of the sky. The surface of the antenna which has the SiriusXM logo must be
facing the sky. There can be no metal objects above the antenna which will
interfere with receiving a satellite signal.
Mount the GSR-HM51 using the built-in bracket to a secure location where
it will not have direct contact with water.

Installation

placement
of
the
Magnetic
Mount
Antenna
is
very
important.
Consult
a professional installer
if
you
are
uncomfortable
with
installing
the
antenna
yourself. More
detailed
installation instructions

illustrations can
be

• Place
the
Magnetic
Mount
Antenna
on
the
outside
of
your
vehicle
on
a
horizontal
surface
that
always
faces
the
sky.
•
Avoid
placing
the
antenna
near
obstacles
that
could
block
a
clear
view
of
the
sky
(such
as
roof
racks,
other
antennas
like
AM/FM,
cellular,
and
GPS),
preventing
the
satellite
signal
from
reaching
the
antenna.
Select the Best Location for
the
Magnetic Mount Antenna
For
most
vehicles
the
best
location
is
on
the
roof,
centered
above
the
rear
window
or
front
windshield.
Consult
a
professional
installer
to
find
an
alternate
antenna
mounting
location
if
your
vehicle
roof
is
made
from
a
non-magnetic
material
such as
aluminum,
fiberglass,
or
carbon
fibre.

Route
the
Antenna Cable
Use care
when
routing
the
antenna
cable
into
and
through
the
vehic
le
interior,
avoiding
sharp
objects

damage
the
cable. Keep
the
antenna
cable
away
from
moving
parts
such as gas
and
brake pedals,
trunk
and
door
hinges,
and
sliding
seat
brackets
.
Hide
the
antenna
wire
inside
the
vehicle
cabin
by
routing
the
cable
under
the
carpet
and
behind
plastic
trim,
toward
the
headunit
location.
Coil
and
secure
any
excess
cable
in a
hidden
location,
such
as
under
the
carpet,
using
wire
ties
(not
included).

Make
the
Connections
You'll
need
to
access
the
back
of
the
SiriusXM-Ready
headunit
so
you
can
plug
the
SXV300
Vehicle
Tuner
into
it. This
may
require
you
to
remove
the
headunit
from
the
dashboard.
If
you
are
uncomfortable
with
this
step,
consult
a
professional
installer.
Be sure
to
turn
OFF
the
SiriusXM-Ready
headunit
before
connecting
the
SXV300
Vehicle
Tuner.
Locate
the
SiriusXM
connector
on
the
headunit
and
connect
the
SXV300.
The
headunit
may
have a
panel
mount
type
connector,
or
it
may
have
a
pigtail
type
connector.
