Congratulations on purchasing a Valentine Silofrit food warmer, a product of the best quality
well known throughout the world for more than 60 years.
By following the basic rules described in this manual, the product will provide high-level perfor-
mance for many years.
Warning:
Make sure that the device is connected by a qualified person according to applicable stand-
ards. This device is designed to keep fried food warm. Any other use of the appliance is for-
bidden.
Do not leave unattended!
Make sure that children do not have access to the device and that users are
properly instructed.
The surfaces of the appliance may become very hot. Avoid all direct contact with the
heating elements.
Risk of burns!
The unit must be isolated from the main power supply before removing panels or ser-
vicing.
Do not use the device if the power cord is defective; it must then be immediately re-
placed by a proper cord provided by Valentine Fabrique SA or by your official dealer.
Valentine Fabrique SA and Valentine Equipment Ltd accept no liability for damage
caused through improper operation of the device and failure to adhere these operating
instructions.

The appliance data plate is located at the
back of the appliance, near the electrical
connection.
To ensure uniform heating of foods, Silofrit has:
·a lower heating element under the vat
·an upper radiant heating element mount-
ed on a support arm
Warning !
The radiant heater (3) becomes very hot during
operation. Do not touch! Risk of burns !

Installation - use
Remove the protective plastic film.
Clean the inside of the appliance using a damp cloth
or a sponge with a little soap and water.
Dry well.
Make sure that water does not seep into the
apertures of the appliance!
Never immerse the appliance in liquid to
clean it!
Operating :
1) Connect the appliance to the mains power supply
2) Turn the main switch to position "1". The LED lights up
3) The appliance heats up. Let it heat up for about 15 minutes before loading. The appli-
ance provides constant heat while it is switched on
4) Load the food to be kept warm into the pan
5) To stop the appliance, turn the main switch to position "0".
Do not move the unit while it is in use.
Notes on the quality of food products to be kept warm:
Fried food products are generally best in taste and texture if they are served quickly. To en-
sure optimum quality of your food, you must:
·Not load the appliance when it is cold
·Not keep food in the Silofrit for more than about 15 minutes (this varies depending on
the kind of food)
·Not overload the pan (maximum: approx. 1/2 of the height of the pan)

Maintenance of your Silofrit
The Silofrit appliance is made of high quality and very durable stainless steel. Clean your ap-
pliance daily. The following recommendations will help you maintain it in excellent condition for
a long time.
.
·Switch off the appliance and let it cool.
·Disconnect the mains power cable.
·Remove the drip plate (4) to access the pan. The drip plate can be cleaned in a dish-
washer.
·Clean the inside and outside with a damp cloth and soapy water.
·Dry thoroughly.
To be cleaned exclusively by hand, without spraying the appliance.
