Unpacking and Setup
CAUTION: This is a very heavy product and should be assembled by a minimum of two
people.
NOTE: These instructions should be followed completely to unpack your new Air Hockey
table correctly.
NOTE: For reasons of safety, Valley-Dynamo, strongly recommends that a minimum of two
people be involved in the setup on your Air Hockeytable.
NOTE: To ease installation, setup should be performed near the final location
1. Lay the carton flat on the floor, with the Label “This Side Up” facing upwards.
2. Cut the banding and remove the Carton Top.
3. Cut the vertical corners of the Carton Bottom and lay the flaps flat to the floor.
4. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SIDE SHIELD KIT IS LOCATED IN ONE OF THE SIDE FILLERS
5. Locate the keys, which are placed on top of the Styrofoam pad.
6. Open the Service door and remove the Parts kit and its contents.
7. Using two or more people, carefully lift the table onto it side, with the Coin/Service Door
facing up. Lift by the corners, avoiding the possibility of the table falling on anyone, should
they loose their grip.
NOTE: The legs are shipped inside the table.
Using a #106 key, open the trap door on the bottom of the table.

Locate the ½” bolt used to hold the legs in place during shipment. Using a ½” Socket or Wrench,
remove the bolt and shipping block that secures the legs.
1. Pull one leg from the left side out of the trap door opening at a time. Once the two left legs
have been removed, remove both right legs.
2. Replace the shipping block and ½” for future use.
3. Replace the Trap Door and lock it.
4. Using a ½” Socket or Wrench assemble the Legs to the bottom of the table using (4) 5/16-18 x
1 ½” Hexhead bolts, which are shipped inside the Parts Kit.
Make certain that the Leg Leveler is completely screwed into the Leg.
Using two or more people to carefully set the table down onto its Legs.
Position the table and level, using an adjustable wrench.
For removal and shipping, please reverse the above steps.
Your Air Hockeytable should now look like this.

Overhead Scoring Unit Assembly
Open the Overhead Scoring Unit Carton. Using two people remove the main Overhead, as well as
the individually boxed tubes.
Locate the Carton containing the Support Tube as well as the brackets and hardware.
Open the Cartons and separate the included components.
Assemble the two tubes to the overhead as shown below. Place the Scoring Unit Housing on top of
the table’s foam protective cover. Assemble the two tubes using the Tube Cover, four Washers, ¼-20
Lock Nut, and ¼-20 x 2” Bolts on each tube. Make certain that the Bolts are tight at this time.

Separate the harness and feed it through the tube as shown below. Utilizing a piece of wire or
banding will help pull the connectors through.

Remove the four bolts from each side of the Air Hockeytable. Assemble one Inner Mounting
Bracket and Outer Mounting Bracket to the Coin Door Side of the table. The bolts attaching the Inner
Bracket should be tight at this time, whereas the Outer Bracket Bolts should be kept loose at this time.
Using two or more people, insert the Overhead Scoring Assembly tube into the Bracket assembly on
the Coin Door Side.
While one person is holding the tube in place, access the harness from inside the table, through the
Trap Door, carefully pull the table harness back to the inside of the table.
Feed the wires from the tubes through the Inner Mounting bracket as shown below. With one
individual below the table, work the harness to the inside of the table making all connections from the
inside. Once the connection are made assemble the tube to the table using the Inner and Outer
Mounting bracket.
Replace the Trap door if you have not already done so.

Secure both tubes by tightening all six bolts on each side and assemblying the 2 bolts and washers to
the underside of each bracket.
Your table should now look like this.

Side Shield Installation
The Side Shield kit contains the following:
(2) Side Shields
(1) Center Shield
(18) Rubber Grommets
(4) ¼-20 x 1” Black Oxide Hex Bolts
(4) Lock nuts
(8) ¼” Black Oxide Washers
1. Remove the bolts from the Side Top Rail. It is not necessary to remove the bolt at the very
end of each Side Rail.
2. Insert Rubber Grommets into the holes from the top of each Side Shield
3. Align the Side Shield over the LED light strip, so that the lighting is inside the groove of Side
Shield. Please note that the flange of the Shields go to the outside.

4. Re-install the Top Rail bolts previously removed
5. Install (2) Rubber Grommets in each of the Side Shields, from the outside
6. Install the Center Shield by aligning it with the two holes in each Side Shield and assemble
using (4) each of the bolts and nuts, as well as (8) Washers.
Remove the Access door from the side of the table and feed the power cord through the hole in the
bottom of the table. Secure the metal plate into the bottom.
Plug the Powercord into a suitable outlet and switch the On/Off Switch to the On position.
