Telecommunications Regulations
Equipment that omplies with Part 68 of the FCC rules in ludes a label or permanent
marking on the printed ir uit board that onne ts to the network that ontains, among other

equipment. If requested, this information must be provided to the telephone ompany. A plug
and ja k used to onne t this equipment to the premises wiring and telephone network must
omply with the appli able FCC Part 68 rules and requirements adopted by the ACTA. A
ompliant telephone ord and modular plug is provided with this produ t. It is designed to be
onne ted to a ompatible modular ja k that is also ompliant. See installation instru tions
for details.
The REN is used to determine the number of devi es that may be onne ted to a telephone
line. Ex essive RENs on a telephone line may result in the devi es not ringing in response to
an in oming all. In most but not all areas, the sum of RENs should not ex eed five (5.0). To
be ertain of the number of devi es that may be onne ted to a line, as determined by the total
RENs, onta t the lo al telephone ompany. The REN for this produ t is part of the produ t

REN without a de imal point (e.g., 03 is a REN of 0.3).
If this equipment auses harm to the telephone network, the telephone ompany will notify
you in advan e that temporary dis ontinuan e of servi e may be required. But if advan e

or pro edures that ould affe t the operation of the equipment. If this happens the telephone
ompany will provide advan e noti e in order for you to make ne essary modifi ations to
maintain uninterrupted servi e. If the equipment is ausing harm to the telephone network,
the telephone ompany may request that you dis onne t the equipment until the problem is
resolved. Conne tion to party line servi e is subje t to state tariffs. Conta t the state publi

your home has spe ially wired alarm equipment onne ted to the telephone line, ensure the
installation of this equipment does not disable your alarm equipment. If you have questions

Spe ifi ations is onformed by the registration number. Equipment that omplies with
