INSTRUCTION MANUAL
VARTONLED LUMINAIRES
Operation and Safety
Luminaire should be used in accordance with the rules in force
on the territory of luminaire’s usage;
Installation, dismantling and maintenance of VARTON® electrical
products should be carried out when power is switched-o;
To avoid accidents it is strictly prohibited:
–To carry out installation, dismantling and maintenance of products
when power is switched-on;
VARTON® LED lightning equipment and component parts must not
have any mechanical damage while being installed;
During installation follow the instructions - incorrect installation
may damage the product;
VARTON® LED lightning equipment can be used only with original
VARTON® component parts;
It is recommended that a person with special access for relevant
works carries out the installation of VARTON® electrical products
in accordance with the instructions enclosed;
In order to improve reliability and extend the service life it is
recommended to periodically inspect electrical products being in use
to detect possible contamination, mechanical damage and to assess
performance;
In order to avoid electrical shock, the luminaire must be grounded.
Use a green or yellow network connection wire of 220V.
Certication and Disposal
All VARTON products are manufactured in accordance with direc-
tives: Low voltage directive 2006/95/EC (ex-73/23/EEC) and Electro-
magnetic compatibility directive 2004/108/EC;
VARTON® LED lightning equipment is environment friendly, does
not require special conditions and permits for disposal, does not fall
into hazardous waste category.
Transportation and Storage Conditions
Transportation of luminaries should be carried out by rail and road,
as well as in heated pressurized compartments of an aircraft, in accor-
dance with rules applicable to each type of transport;
Transit container should be protected from atmosphere precipi-
tation while being transported. The alignment and securing of cargo
in vehicles should ensure that position of cargo during transportation;
Packed luminaries should be stored under the cover or in rooms
where temperature and humidity uctuations are insignicantly
dierent from uctuations outdoors. Temperature of surrounding
air can vary from - 60 °C to + 60 °C and have relative humidity of 75%
at a temperature of 15 °C (annual average). It is necessary to exclude
the presence of acid and alkaline impurities in the air that can aect
luminaires. The environment should not be explosive, should not
contain oil mist, metallic dust, conductive dust, corrosive gases and
concentrated vapors causing corrosion.
Warranty
Out-of-service electrical products can be replaced if the invoice
and this instruction or the sales slip and this instruction or/and
warranty certicate are given;
If the service conditions were met, the warranty period is 3 years,
starting from the date of the purchase, but not more than 40 months
starting from the manufacturing date;
In the absence of a shop stamp or a trading organization stamp,
warranty period is counted from the manufacturing date of VARTON®
LED luminaire;
The luminaire matches technical specications and is recognized
serviceable.
Necessary conditions for electrical products VARTON® provi-
sion of guarantee
Out-of-service VARTON® products can only be replaced if there
is no visible physical damage;
Products are replaced if a correctly lled-in warranty card (with
the name of the product, the date, the purchase location, the signature
of a seller, the stamp on it) and a cash receipt or a properly document-
ed passport and an invoice of the company, where the product was
bought, are presented;
Goods that have visible physical damage are not subject to replace-
ment;
Products that fail to function after contact with foreign objects,
liquids and other materials and substances that are not intended
to come into contact with electrical products are not subject
to replacement;
Products that fail to function as a result of force major, like re,
ood, etc. are not subject to replacement.

Installation
The luminaire can be mounted onto at surface of normally-com-
bustible material as well as on suspensions;
VARTON luminaire’s installation needs to be fullled in a way so as
to provide a secure xation and convenient layout diagram;
When mounting onto supporting surface you need to drill insertion
holes on the supporting surface 640-770 mm/ 230-370mm, then bolt
on metal clamps (supplied);
Suspended mounting: x the cable (not supplied) on metal clamps
by means of bolts. Snap metal clamps on the housing;
Dirty diuser requires cleaning by means of soft cloth without
aggressive detergents’ application.

Installation
Plug in a luminaire through a connecter or a socket protected from
moisture and dust. Ensure that power output goes in accordance with
an identication mark. Safety class should be at least IP65. Mind
wires color-marking (brown - phase L, blue - neutral N, green / yellow
- grounding);
Install the luminaire onto a console with diameter ranging from 40
to 48 mm;
Align the luminaire parallel to the console and tighten it by two
screws M8 (supplied) with force of at least 8 N * m.

Installation
Plug in a luminaire through a connecter or a socket protected from
moisture and dust. Ensure that power output goes in accordance with
an identication mark. Safety class should be at least IP65. Mind
wires color-marking (brown — phase L, blue — neutral N, green / yellow
— grounding);
Install the luminaire onto a console with diameter ranging from 40
to 55 mm;
Align the luminaire parallel to the console and tighten it by two
screws M10 (supplied) with force of at least 8 N * m.

Installation

The luminaire can be installed directly on a at surface made of
normally ignitable material;
Take the diuser o, take out the LED module and the set of
fasteners;
Installation of LED luminaire VARTON® should be carried out to
provide secure xation and comfortable layout of lamps (see Picture 1):
–While installing the luminaire on the bearing surface, drill align-
ment holes on the surface. Then punch holes in a luminaire body. Fix
the luminaire onto the bearing surface, seal attaching spots with
rubber washers (supplied separately);
–Insert network wires into the luminaire body through rubber
gasket and connect them to the terminal blocks on the LED module in
accordance with polarity;
–Fix the LED module on the luminaire body steadily through mount-
ing sockets;
–Fix the diuser on the luminaire body;
–It is recommended to wipe contaminated diuser with a cloth with-
out abrasive cleansers.

VARTON LED Commercial Luminaires T-LINE, G-LINE, MARKET-LLINE, MERCURY
Installation
When using VARTON® LED luminaires Mercury, Market-Line, T-Line
for surface-mounted, it is xed on the mounting surface with fasten-
ers (self-drilling screws are not supplied in the kit);
When using VARTON® LED luminaire for suspension employment,
suspension set should be availed of;
While assembling two or more luminaires, they should be connect-
ed to each other in-line in accordance with polarity, for this purpose
the connecting shackle should be used; G-Line luminaires are designed
for installation in plasterboard ceiling structures by means of clamp-
ing xtures;
A single luminaire or a line (construction) of luminaires are closed
with back covers with G-Line luminaires back covers are used with /
without a feed-through plate;
Connect it to the power network in accordance with indicated
polarity;
T-Line luminaire with dimensions 585x70x90 is suitable for creat-
ing light-lines and constructions together with similar models of T-Line
luminaires with dimensions 1174x70x90, power of 36W. And it is not
suitable for luminaires with power of 18W;
Mercury luminaires IP23 with dimensions 1500*66*8mm is suit-
able for installanion as a continuous “light line“.

Installation
VARTON® LED luminaires are designed to be installed in
Armstrong, Grilliato, Ecophon, Cesal suspended ceilings, drywall ceil-
ings, suspended rack ceilings or on any at surface (depending on the
product model);
Recessed installation:
Take out the luminaire from the box;
Set the luminaire on the suspended ceiling system grids;
Connect the luminaire to the mains electrical supply through
WAGO terminal block. (Picture 1);
Secure the luminaire to the bearing surface using metal suspen-
sions (not supplied in package);
Take out diuser from the box;
Place diuser in the luminaire frame;
Fix diuser securely in the luminaire frame using white metal bar;
Secure the metal bar to the luminaire using plastic rivets (supplied
in package);
Surface mounting:
Take out the luminaire from the box;
Connect the luminaire to the mains electrical supply through
WAGO terminal block (Picture 1);
Drill holes on the installation surface, in accordance with Luminaire
Installation Size information, stated in Technical Characteristics;
During installation of IP54 luminaire, don’t forget to secure the
luminaire mounting holes with silicone gaskets (supplied in package);
Take out diuser from the box;
Place diuser in the luminaire frame;
Fix diuser securely in the luminaire frame using white metal bar;
Secure the metal bar to the luminaire using plastic rivets (supplied
in package).

Installation
The luminaire can be installed directly on a at surface made of
normally ammable material and it also can be mounted on self-sup-
porting suspensions;
Installation of VARTON® LED luminaire is to be carried out in such
a way as to provide a secure xture and a comfortable layout of lumi-
naires;
During the installation you should drill mounting holes on the
surface of the ceiling (maximum distance from hole centers equals to
the luminaire length minus 35 mm). Then insert the luminaire into lock-
ups until it clicks;
During the installation on self-supporting suspensions you should
x the cable with bolts on mounting brackets for suspensions (not
included in the kit);
Snap holders on the body; secure the body on suspensions;
Network wires should be connected to the terminal blocks that
were brought out from the luminaire body through hermetic gasket;
It is recommended to wipe a contaminated diuser with a soft
tissue without the use of abrasive cleaners.

Installation
Set the luminaire to the necessary turning angle;
Untwist wing nuts and remove screws from holes in the swivel
bracket. Then turn the bracket to the desired angle and install the
screws into the corresponding holes. Tighten the wing nuts on the
screws;
Install the luminaire onto the mounting surface, having fastened it
by set bolts through mounting holes. The diameter of mounting bolts
should be 10 mm;
Plug in a luminaire through a connecter or a socket protected from
moisture and dust. Ensure that power output goes in accordance with
an identication mark. Safety class should be at least IP65. Mind
wires color-marking (brown - phase L, blue - neutral N, green / yellow
- grounding).

Loosen the screws p. 1;
Install the luminaire onto the mounting surface, adjust the height
of the clampings p. 2;
Tighten the screws p. 1 against stop;
Fasten the luminaire on the ceiling rails using set screws M6,
setting them into the xing holes of the clampings p. 2;
Connect the wires L, N of power cable 220V to the corresponding
power supply cable wires p. 3;
