The pr duct y u have purchased is an extract r fan f r exhausting
directly utside r thr ugh l nger lengths f ducting (up t 15m) and
is suitable f r wall r ceiling installati n. T ensure ptimum pera-
ti n and guarantee a l ng life, please read this manual carefully. It
explains h w t install c rrectly, use and maintain the pr duct pr p-
erly. F ll wing these instructi ns will ensure the reliability f the pr d-
uct and extend its w rking life.
The manufacturer w ll not accept any respons b l ty for damage
caused to persons or th ngs due to mproper use w th reference
to the precaut ons outl ned n th s leaflet.
The pr duct, c nstructed using state f the art techn l gy, c mplies
with current standards regarding electrical equipment. It c nf rms
with EN 60335-2-80, B.T. 2006/95/CE, EMC 2004/108/CE.the
EMC 2004/108/EC Eur pean Directive regarding radi interfer-
ence suppressi n and electr -magnetic c mpatibility.
WARNING: Ser ous njury or death could result f these nstruct ons are
not carefully followed
• D n t use this pr duct f r any purp se ther than that f r which
it was designed.
• Rem ve the pr duct fr m its packaging and make sure that it
has n t been damaged. If in d ubt, c ntact the supplier, auth -
rised dealer, service centre r manufacturer t check that the
pr duct will still perate c rrectly. D n t attempt t use r re-
pair the pr duct bef re d ing this.
• D n t leave packing material within the reach f children r un-
skilled pe ple. T disp se f the packaging and the appliance at
the end f its useful life refer t the recycling rules in f rce.
• The use f any electrical pr duct requires c mpliance with s me
basic rules which are listed bel w:
- d n t t uch it with wet r damp parts f the b dy (e.g hands,
feet).
- this pr duct is n t intended f r use by pers ns (including chil-
dren) with reduced physical, sens ry r mental capabilities r
lack f experience and kn wledge, unless they have been given
supervisi n r instructi n c ncerning the use f the pr duct
by a pers n resp nsible f r their safety. The fan sh uld be
sited where it is inaccessible t such pe ple.
- children sh uld be supervised t ensure they d n t play with
the pr duct.
• The pr duct sh uld be c nnected t the mains electricity supply
r electrical utlet nly if:
- the electrical v ltage and frequency c rresp nd t th se
sh wn n the rating label.
- the capacity f the electricity supply is sufficient t perate the
pr duct at its maximum p wer.
- suitable electrical pr tecti n is pr vided f r the pr duct t be
installed.
• The electrical supply t which the fan is c nnected must c mply
with all existing regulati ns. All installati ns must c mply with
current IEE wiring regulati ns.
• Bef re maintenance r cleaning is carried ut, the pr duct must
be switched ff and disc nnected fr m the mains electricity sup-
ply.
• If a fault, malfuncti n r an maly f any type ccurs, the fan sh uld
be is lated (switching it ff and disc nnecting it fr m the mains
electricity supply) and advice s ught fr m qualified pers nnel.
• Always request riginal spare parts f r repairs
• If the pr duct needs t be rem ved, turn ff the mains supply
and then disc nnect the fan.
• The fan MUST BE installed as detailed in this leaflet
WARNING: Damage could be caused to the product f the nstal-
lat on nstruct ons are not followed
• The pr duct sh uld not be used in an ambient temperature
higher than 40°C (104°F).
• The pr duct sh uld not be exp sed t atm spheric agents (rain,
sun, sn w, etc.).
• The pr duct r its parts sh uld not be placed in water r ther
liquids.
• R utine maintenance as described sh uld be carried ut t
check the c nditi n f the fan.
• The air r fumes being extracted must be clean and free fr m
greasy particles, s t, chemical and c rr sive agents, flamma-
ble r expl sive mixtures.
• The product must be nstalled by profess onally qual f ed per-
sonnel. Incorrect nstallat on can cause damage to people,
an mals or property, for wh ch the manufacturer cannot be
held l able.
• The pr duct must be c nnected t the electricity supply via a
d uble p le switch f a suitable size, with c ntact penings f at
least 3 mm.
• If the electrical supply b ard ( r switching device) is l cated
s me distance fr m the fan a means f l cal is lati n must be
pr vided.
• T ensure ptimum perati n, d n t bl ck the air intake and
exit vents.
• Any ducting used must be free f bl ckages, and sh uld be insu-
lated if in an unheated area.
• The r m where the pr duct is perating must have adequate
air replacement t ensure maximum effectiveness.
• If the pr duct is sited in a r m c ntaining a fuel burning appli-
ance which is n t f the balanced flue type, the installer must en-
sure that air replacement is adequate b th f r the fan and the
fuel burning appliance (UNI CIG 7129).
• The pr duct must not be used as an activat r f r water
heaters, st ves, etc.
• The pr duct must not exhaust int ducts designed t evacuate
fumes fr m c mbusti n in st ves r ther c mbusti n-p wered
devices.

ELP2204 - this fan c mbines the latest techn l gy with energy
saving and efficiency. It is a 4 speed centrifugal fan. It is designed
t run c ntinu usly at a Speed 1 with three pti ns f r a pre-selec-
table b st speed (Speed 2, Speed 3 r Speed 4), which is fixed at
installati n. The user can b st the fan speed t its maximum per-
f rmance when required by means f the c rd r rem ve the c rd
and use a rem te switch, light switch, PIR sens r r humidistat. If
the fan s to be ce l ng mounted, the pull-cord sw tch should be
put n the “off” pos t on and the cord removed. A remote sw tch
w ll be necessary for chang ng the fan speed. See w r ng d a-
grams, page 4.
