Introduction
Thank you for choosing Vello and congratulations on your
new BG-N18 battery grip purchase. Enjoy the benefits
that a battery grip offers, such as comfort and control
when shooting in a vertical (portrait) orientation. The
Vello BG-N18 is compatible with the Nikon D7500 DSLR
camera. It accepts an EN-EL15a rechargeable battery and
offers an alternate shutter-release button.

before using the BG-N18 battery grip.

Precautions
1. The BG-N18 should be used with only compatible
devices specified in this manual.
2. Use only with batteries recommended in this manual.
3. If you notice smoke, an unusual smell, or noise from
the battery pack, discontinue use immediately. Remove
the batteries and take the device to a Vello authorized
reseller.
4. The battery level may not display properly if batteries
are installed before mounting the grip.
5. Remove batteries from the grip when not in use.
6. Do not attempt to disassemble.
7. Do not expose this product to water or extreme
humidity, and keep in a dry cool place.
8. Keep out of reach of children.

1Shutter Release Button
Use as an alternate shutter release
button for shooting in vertical
(portrait) mode.
2Nonslip Rubber Grip
Provides a secure and comfortable
grip when shooting vertically.
31/4"-20 Tripod Socket
Allows for mounting to a tripod when
the grip is attached to your camera.
4Locking Wheel
Secures the grip to the camera’s
tripod socket.
5Camera Battery Door Holder
Stores the camera’s battery chamber
door when the grip is mounted.
62.5 mm Remote Cable Socket
Accepts 2.5 mm shutter release cable.
7Battery Tray Compartment
Houses the battery tray.
81/4"-20 Mounting Screw
Connects to the camera’s tripod
socket.
9Power Contacts
Slide into the camera’s battery
chamber and transmit power.
10 Battery Tray
Secures Nikon EN-EL15a battery.
11 Battery Chamber Lock
Locks and unlocks the battery tray.
