Dear Customer
The Venta Airwasher you have
purchased is a precision-
built, state-of-the-art product
for humidifying and purifying
indoor air.
The Venta Airwasher
- humidifies air through
cold-evaporation recognized as
being the best method
- eliminates static electricity
- cleanses the air of the finest
dust, e.g. fluff, domestic dust,
pollen, smoke, soot and bacteria
- absorbs harmful gases like
sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide and
formaldehyde
- absorbs offensive smells, such
as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia
The Venta Airwasher accomplishes
all this through an entirely new
principle:
Indoor air is „washed“.

Axial-flow fans draw indoor air in
through the slots at the front of the
appliance. The air is then propelled
past the rotating disk stacks.
Harmful gases and fine dust
settle on the surfaces, which pull
them down into the water where
they are trapped. The rotation
of the disk stacks, combined
with the Venta Hygiene Additive,
ensures continuous self-cleaning
and moistening. The washed,
humidified air emerges through the
slots in the top of the appliance.
The appliance incorporates an
electronic water-level indicator.
When all the green lights are on the
Airwasher is full. When the bottom
light is flashing, this indicates that
the appliance is in need of water.
Positioning the appliance
To ensure that your Airwasher
operates to full effect:
- Position the Airwasher on a
level, vibration-free surface.
Ensure that there is 3 feet of
clear space above and in front of
the appliance so that air can be
drawn in and circulate freely.
- Do not position the appliance
near doors or windows which are
opened.
How the Venta Airwasher works

After unpacking the appliance, set
it on a level surface.

Fill the base vwith approx.
23 liters (6 gallons) of water.

Add 125 ml of Venta Hygiene
Additive (see dosage scale on
bottle). Bottles of Venta Hygiene
Additive are found in the left side-
piece.
Starting up

Apply slight pressure on the upper
part of the appliance u, while
simultaneously pushing side
pieces wand xup as high as they
will go. Now the entire top half of
the appliance can be lifted off the
base v.
1.3
Remove the protective packaging
from inside the top of the
appliance. Take out the disk stacks
and remove the packaging in the
bottom.

Replace the top u, holding it
slightly on the slant and starting
on the left. Push the right and left
sidepieces down only when the top
is back in place. Make sure that:
- the sidepieces fit flush with the
tank;
- the power supply cable runs
outwards;

- the water-level regulator located
in the right-hand sidepiece x
does not get damaged.

Plug the unit in an 220 V, 50 Hz
outlet. Switch on by operating
the on-off switch, then select the
speed setting.

The Venta Airwasher humidifies in-
door air through cold-evaporation,
which is recognized as the best
method. The water which has
evaporated must be replaced.
One refilling per day is normally
sufficient. When the water level
drops below a certain point, the
appliance switches off and a red
light flashes.
2.2
To refill, slide sidepiece w up as
high as it will go, then pour water in
until the water level indicator shows
the appliance is filled.

3.1
After every 10-14 days the unit
should be cleaned. This is best
done when the water has reached
the minimum level (Bottom light is
flashing).
3.2
Remove utop (see 1.2).
3.3
Remove disk zstack, allow to set
and drain aside.
3.4
Pour off the remaining dirty water
and rinse out the base with cold
water. If necessary, wipe out dirt
with a damp sponge.
3.5
Reinsert disk stack z.
3.6
Refill with water and add Venta
Hygiene Additive (see 1.5).
3.7
Replace top and set appliance in
operation (see 1.6 - 1.7).

4.1
Be sure to unplug the unit before
beginning any cleaning or
maintenance operations. As with
any electrical appliance, keep out of
reach of children.
4.2
All Venta additives have been
tested for safety and effectiveness.
The Venta additives have been
developed for and tested on the
Venta Airwasher and should only
be used in conjunction with other
Venta products. The continual use
of harsh detergents or additives not
recommended by Venta could have
dangerous long-term side effects.
4.3
After extended non-use, or after the
appliance has been cleaned, tho-
roughly rinse out the tank and the
disk stack.
5.1
Disk stack does not rotate: Check
whether the top of the appliance is
correctly mounted in position.
5.2
Airwasher fails to operate: Check for
the presence of electric current (e.g.
by trying another outlet or by testing
with a voltage detector).
