SAFETY FEATURE
1. A thermal overload protector is built in to prevent overheating.
2. If an overheat temperature is reached, the Heater will auto-matically shut off. It can only resume
operation when the user resets the unit.
To Reset Heater:
1. Unplug the Heater and wait 10 minutes for the Heater to cool down.
2. After the Heater has cooled down, plug the unit into a 120V~electrical outlet and follow the
operation instructions described in this manual.
TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS
If your heater shuts off unexpectedly or fails to operate, the previously mentioned safety feature may
have been activated to prevent overheating.
1. Be sure the power cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet.
2. Check your Temperature setting. The Heater may be off because it has reached the desired
temperature setting.
3. If your Heater runs for several minutes and shuts off repeatedly, your Heater may require cleaning.
See Maintenance section below.
STORAGE: Store the heater with these instructions in the original carton in a cool, dry place .
DISPOSITION: Corrugated packaging materials are recyclable . For environmentally responsible
disposal of this product,contact your local waste service .
MAINTENANCE
To reduce the risk of electrical shock and fire please observe the following instructions.
Cleaning the Heater regularly will help to maintain its efficiency.
- Always unplug the cord before moving, servicing or cleaning.
- NEVER place the Heater in or near water. DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER.
- Clean the Heater only with a vacuum equipped with a brush attachment; the vacuum will remove
the lint and dirt from the surface of the Heater.
- Vacuum intake grills every two weeks; this will help to maintain the optimum Heater performance.
- Use a toothbrush or other soft bristle brush to gently loosen any dirt not removed by the vacuum.
- NEVER attempt to take apart the Heater.
- Clean the body of the Heater with a soft cloth only.
- NEVER use ALCOHOL or SOLVENTS such as gasoline, benzene, paint thinner, or other harsh
cleaners.

LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT
This warranty is underwritten by Falco Insurance Company and is extended to the original
retail purchaser of this model or, if this unit is purchased and requires installation by a building
contractor, to the original owner of the home. No subsequent purchaser of the unit or of a home
in which it is installed is entitled to any of the bene ts of this warranty.
This product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1)
year from the date of original retail purchase. No other parts or components are warranted.
There is no warranty for defects caused by abuse, faulty installation, or the like.
Repairs or replacement parts supplied under this warranty are warranted only for the period of
this warranty; that is, one (1) year from the date of the original retail purchase of the unit.
In the event of a defect or malfunction, we will replace or repair the defective part or component
only and return the new or repaired part to you freight prepaid.
You must bear all other expenses incurred in obtaining repairs, including labor required for  eld
repair or replacement, and the cost of shipping the defective part to us. You must also bear the
cost of repair to or replacement of any part or component and the shipping charges incurred
for the repair or replacement and return to you of any part or component not covered by this
warranty, including parts or components damaged by you.
The company reserves the right to demand and receive written evidence of the date of purchase
before undertaking its obligations under this warranty. The right to demand and receive written
evidence of date of purchase extends to all licensed dealers of Ventamatic, Ltd. products.
You should, therefore, retain your sales slip and attach a copy of it to the warranty claim.
To start a warranty claim you must:

An RGA (Returned Goods Authorization) form is required for returns to the factory
to ensure your return can be processed effi ciently and quickly. Please contact
Ventamatic, Ltd. toll-free at 800-433-1626 or via web at www.bvc.com to obtain an
RGA and follow the instructions given.
There is no informal dispute settling mechanism available in the event of a controversy involving
this warranty.
Any and all implied warranties which may exist terminate upon the expiration of this warranty
one (1) year from the date of the original retail purchase. Some states do not allow limitations on
how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you.
Ventamatic, Ltd. is not liable to you for incidental or consequential damages arising out of defect
or malfunction of a unit or its installation or out of any alleged breach of this warranty. Some
states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this
limitation may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you speci c legal rights and you may also have other rights which may vary
from state to state.

1. Deja que el calefactor caliente la habitación antes de configurar el termostato.
2. Para ajustar el termostato, gira la perilla del termostato hacia “+” para aumentar la temperatura deseada
y hacia “-” para disminuir la temperatura deseada.
3.
El calefactor mantendrá la temperatura establecida apagando y encendiendo automáticamente la
unidad. Para evitar este ciclo, ajusta la temperatura en el termostato.

CARACTERÍSTICA DE SEGURIDAD
1.
Un protector de sobrecarga térmica está incorporado en el calefactor para evitar que se recaliente.
2.
Si el calefactor se sobrecalienta, se apagará automáticamente. Sólo puede volver a funcionar cuando el
usuario reinicie la unidad.
Para reiniciar el calefactor:
1. Desenchufa el calefactor y espera 10 minutos a que se enfríe.
2. Cuando se haya enfriado el calefactor, enchufa la unidad en un tomacorriente de 120 V y sigue las
instrucciones de funcionamiento descritas en este manual.
RECOMENDACIONES PARA SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
Si el calefactor se apaga de forma inesperada o no funciona, la característica de seguridad mencionada más arriba
pudo haberse activado para evitar que se sobrecaliente.
1.
Asegúrate de que el cable eléctrico esté enchufado en un tomacorriente.
2.
Revisa la configuración de temperatura. Puede que el calefactor esté apagado porque ha alcanzado la
temperatura deseada.
3.
Si el calefactor funciona por varios minutos y se apaga constantemente, puede que necesite una limpieza.
Vea la sección Mantenimiento más abajo.
ALMACENAMIENTO: Almacena el calefactor junto con estas instrucciones en la caja original en un lugar fresco y
seco. ELIMINACIÓN: El material de empaque corrugado es reciclable. Contacta al servicio de desechos locales
para desechar este producto de una manera ecológicamente responsable.
MANTENIMIENTO

Limpia el calefactor con una aspiradora que tenga un cepillo; la aspiradora eliminará las pelusas y la suciedad
de la superficie del calefactor.

Pasa la aspiradora por las rejillas de entrada cada dos semanas; esto ayudará a que el calefactor mantenga una
eficiencia óptima.

Usa un cepillo de dientes o un cepillo de cerdas suaves para eliminar cualquier suciedad quitada por la
aspiradora.

NUNCA trates de desarmar el calefactor.

Limpia el cuerpo del calefactor con un paño suave solamente.

CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ IMPORTANTES
Lors de l’utilisation d’un appareil électrique, les instructions et avertissements suivants doivent toujours être
respectés afin de réduire les risques d’incendie, de choc électrique et de blessure corporelle :
ATTENTION
• Placez toujours l’appareil de chauffage sur une surface stable, plane et de niveau pendant l’utilisation, pour éviter tout
risque qu’il bascule. Repérez le cordon d’alimentation électrique, pour vous assurer que l’appareil de chauffage ou
d’autres objets ne repose(nt) pas dessus. NE faites PAS passer le cordon d’alimentation électrique sous une moquette.
NE recouvrez PAS le cordon d’alimentation de carpettes, de tapis de couloir ou d’autres tapis semblables, puisqu’ils
pourraient entraîner la surchauffe du cordon d’alimentation. Placez le cordon d’alimentation électrique à l’écart des
endroits passants, là où il sera impossible de trébucher dessus.
• Cet appareil de chauffage devient BRÛLANT pendant l’utilisation. Afin d’éviter les brûlures, faites en sorte que la peau
nue n’entre pas en contact avec les surfaces brûlantes. Utilisez toujours la poignée pour déplacer l’appareil de
chauffage. Gardez les matières combustibles comme les meubles, les oreillers, la literie, le papier, les vêtements et les
rideaux à une distance d’au moins 0,9 m (3 pi) du devant de l’appareil de chauffage et tenez-les éloignés des côtés et
de l’arrière de l’appareil d’au moins 0,3 m (1 pi).

1. Laissez l’appareil de chauffage chauffer la pièce avant de régler le thermostat.
2. Pour régler le thermostat, tournez le bouton du thermostat vers le « + » pour augmenter la température
souhaitée et vers le « - » pour réduire la température souhaitée.

DISPOSITIF DE SÉCURITÉ

Un dispositif de protection contre les surcharges thermiques est incorporé pour éviter les surchauffes.
2.
Si l’appareil de chauffage atteint une température de surchauffe, il s’éteint automatiquement. L’appareil peut
redémarrer uniquement quand l’utilisateur le réinitialise.
Pour réinitialiser l’appareil de chauffage :
1. Débranchez l’appareil de chauffage et attendez 10 minutes pour lui permettre de refroidir.
2. Une fois que l’appareil de chauffage a refroidi, branchez-le dans une prise de courant de ~120 volts et suivez
les instructions d’utilisation décrites dans ce manuel.
CONSEILS POUR LE DÉPANNAGE
Si votre appareil de chauffage s’éteint ou se met en panne de manière inattendue, il se peut que le dispositif de
sécurité mentionné auparavant ait été activé pour éviter une surchauffe.

Assurez-vous the cordon d’alimentation est branché dans une prise de courant qui fonctionne bien.
2.
Vérifiez votre réglage de température. Il se peut que l’appareil de chauffage soit éteint parce qu’il a atteint le
réglage de température souhaitée.

Si votre appareil de chauffage fonctionne pendant plusieurs minutes puis s’éteint à plusieurs reprises, il se
peut qu’il ait besoin d’être nettoyé. Veuillez consulter la section Entretien ci-dessous.
ENTREPOSAGE : Rangez l’appareil de chauffage avec ces instructions dans le carton d’origine dans un endroit
frais et sec.
MISE AU REBUT : Les matériaux d’emballage ondulés sont recyclables. Pour une mise au rebut de ce produit,
respectueuse de l’environnement, veuillez communiquer avec l’autorité locale de gestion des déchets.
ENTRETIEN
Pour réduire le risque de choc électrique et d’incendie, veuillez respecter les instructions suivantes.
Nettoyer régulièrement l’appareil de chauffage aidera à maintenir son efficacité.

Débranchez toujours le cordon d’alimentation avant de déplacer, entretenir, réparer ou nettoyer l’appareil.
- NE placez JAMAIS l’appareil de chauffage dans ou à proximité de l’eau. N’IMMERGEZ PAS L’APPAREIL DE
CHAUFFAGE DANS L’EAU.

Nettoyez l’appareil de chauffage avec un aspirateur équipé d’un accessoire de brosse uniquement; l’aspirateur
éliminera les peluches et la saleté de la surface de l’appareil de chauffage.

Passez l’aspirateur sur les grilles d’entrée toutes les deux semaines; ceci aidera à maintenir le rendement
optimal de l’appareil de chauffage.

Utilisez une brosse à dent ou autre brosse à poils doux pour détacher avec soin toute saleté non éliminée par
l’aspirateur.

NE tentez JAMAIS de démonter l’appareil de chauffage.

Nettoyez le corps de l’appareil de chauffage avec un linge doux uniquement.
