VERDE LED ELYSIUM T8 LED tube, VER-VT8 Series
USER GUIDE：
The purpose of this user guide is to explain the necessary steps for the proper use of a T8 Led Tube and to
assure peak performance of this product. It is intended for use as reference by a fully qualified electrician
or technician. This document should never be considered a substitute for any provision of a regulation or
state and/or local code. Please read this entire manual to fully understand and safely use this product.

GETTING STARTED This guide contains important information about installing and operating your new T8
Led Tube safely and accurately.

CAUTION:
1. The light source of this luminaire shall be only replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent
or a similar qualified person.
2. The control gear of this luminaire shall be only replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent
or a similar qualified person.
3. Risk of fire or electric shock. Ensure that the power supply is off when installation is carried out.
4. Before installation the fully qualified installer must determine whether the power supply is in
the electrical input range stated in the Product Parameters table (see below) of the luminaire.
5. Do not remove the LED tube cover and/or end caps.
6. Any constructive change of the luminaire in case of applying retrofit LED lamps shall not be
permitted.
7. Lamp suitable for 50Hz or 60Hz operation.
8. The device should be installed and operated by a qualified electrician or technician in accordance
with relevant local codes.
9. Do not use sharp tools near or on the surface of the device.
10. Lamp is not suitable for dimming.
11. Lamp is not suitable for emergency operation.
12. Ingress grade IP20. Lamp to be used in dry conditions or in a luminaire that provides protection
against rain and moisture.
13. All VERDE products comply with surge immunity as specified by EN 61547:2009. However, the
Verde Warranty also requires additional surge protective devices to be installed on-site against
the effects caused by remote lightning strikes, inductive or capacitive coupling, and switching
surge voltages. These are typically installed at the main distribution and sub-distribution panels
and are to be maintained and operational always. Refer to industry experts such as

Unpacking:
1. Unpack and carefully examine the product.
2. Report any damage and save all packing materials if any part of the product was damaged during
transportation.
3. Do not attempt to use the apparatus if it is damaged.
User Responsibilities:
The responsibility to comply with all state and local laws, ordinances, and regulations in regards to the
installation, maintenance and operation of the device lies with the buyer and handler of the device. These
parties may include, but are not limited to the contractor, installer, purchaser, owner, and user of the
product. Consult Lighting Application Engineering services as needed.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
A - New fitting:
1. Ensure the mains are disconnected before handling the luminaire.
2. Remove optics and the ballast cover.
3. Make sure the ground wire from the mains is connected to the ground screw of the luminaire.
4. Release the existing socket(s).
5. Determine which end of the luminaire will be the AC Input.
6. Wire the socket(s) as the following diagram:
7. The socket(s) opposite to the one(s) receiving the power will remain unwired.

8. Replace ballast cover.
9. Carefully remove the VERDE LED T8 Tube from its packaging.
10. The side of the tube marked with the word “POWER” is the one which has to be connected to the
socket wired to the mains.
11. Replace the optics.
12. Turn on power supply.
B – Installation in a fitting with an existing ELECTRONIC BALLAST:
1. Ensure the mains are disconnected before handling the luminaire.
2. Remove the optics, the existing fluorescent tube and the ballast cover.
3. Make sure the ground wire from the mains is connected to the ground screw of the luminaire.
4. Release the existing socket(s).
5. Un-attach the existing wires connected to the ballast.
6. Wire the socket(s) as per the following diagram, by-passing the electronic ballast:
7. Replace ballast cover.
8. Carefully remove the VERDE LED T8 Tube from its packaging.
9. Install the tube.
10. Replace the optics.
11. Turn on power supply.
C – Installation in a fitting with an existing MAGNETIC BALLAST:
1. Ensure the mains are disconnected before handling the luminaire.
2. Remove the optics and the existing fluorescent tube.
3. Remove the existing fluorescent starter.
4. Install the LED fuse.
5. Carefully remove the VERDE LED T8 Tube from its packaging.
6. Install LED tube:
7. Replace the optics.
8. Turn on power supply.
