The instrument is not allowed to disassemble or repair in any ways. It is forbidden to do any illegal
modification or performance change for laser emitter. Please keep it out of reach of children and
avoid using by any irrelevant personnel.
It is strictly prohibited to shoot eyes or other parts of body with the laser; it is not allowed take the
laser to shoot any objects' surface with strong reflecting.
Due to electromagnetic radiation interference to other equipment and devices, please don't use the
meter in the plane or around medical equipment, don't use it in inflammable, explosive
environment.
Discarded batteries or meter device shall not be processed just like household garbage, please
handle them in line with related law and regulations.

Short press to Menu. Enter System Settings.
Press and to reach the item . Short
press to make the selection box green. Then
press and to select the unit you need. The
default unit is 0.000m. There are 8 different units
for options.
Reference point setting
The device get 4 different reference points. System default reference point is bottom.

Long press to start the device.
Long press to turn off the device. The device can also turn off automatically in 150s
without any operation. (150s is default value, user can set the time in the System Settings.)

Battery Charging
Discharge the battery door, and place battery according to correct
polarity, then cover the battery door.
1.2V 2400mAh AA Ni-mh battery is recommended. A USB cable is
included in the accessories bag.
Please remove the batteries when the device is off work in order to
protect the device from corrosion.
The device is accompany with rechargeable batteries.
Please recheck if the batteries in the battery cabinet is rechargeable
batteries before you connect it to the power supply for charging. If
the batteries are not rechargeable, the device will not start charging.
The symbol will show in greening while charging. Heating is
normal while charging. Symbol means charging completed.

Area Measurement
Continuous Measurement
The user can use this mode to find the target distance without frequent operation.
1) Long press under distance measuring mode to start continuous measuring mode.
Maximum and Minimum value will be shown on the screen. Present result displays in
major display area.
2) Short press or to quit.

Function Description
Single Distance Measurement
1) Press under distance measuring mode, laser shoots and focus the target.
2) Press again to measure. It can show 4 results in 4 lines on the display, including
the bottom line newest result and 3 history results.
3) Short press to delete the history data.
Volume Measurement
Short press once to .
Press once for length;
Press again for width.
The device calculates the area and perimeter . Short press to clear off last
result and measure again when you make a wrong operation. Long press button to
save the result.
Device calculates the volume , base area , flank area and base perimeter .

Remark: If "ERR 5" shows in the display while measuring, that means the previous
measuring results are not accompany to the rule of triangle. For example,
the hypotenuse is shorter than a leg. Please remeasure.

The device calculates the area of the Trapezoid S , the length of L3, length of
L4 , and angle β ;

Remark: The device gets 1X, 2X and 4X three types of zoom. Press and to
adjust the focal length.
1. Press to open the camera;
2. Distance measurement: make the cross exactly point to the target, press to
get the distance.
Long press till the symbol shows. Short press or to adjust the time between
3s to 60s. Short press to start the delay measuring when time of delay is confirmed. If
it is laser on, long press , and start delay measuring at once.

Open the camera to assist the measuring under strong light when you cannot find
the laser spot by your eyes.

3. Short press or to exit. If there is measuring result, please short press
twice to exit.
4. Area/Volume/Pythagoras measurement: short press to turn on the camera with
laser on. Press to get the distance result and short press to return, the result
will be in the line.
5. Continuous measurement: press to turn on the camera, and then long press
to start continuous measurement. When you find the target in the cross, short
press to stop measuring.

Check the angle value in the top line.
There are two units of angle for option “ º ” and “ % ” .

Vertical Angle

1. Delete the records
Delete one piece of records: Short press once when review the records. [DEL] shows on
the top of the display, short press again to delete, or short press to cancel deleting.
Remark: Please note when you clear up the records in the device, you also clear up the
records in U-disk too. The deleted records cannot be recovered. Please consider
carefully before your operation.
2. Clear up all records
Long press till hearing Bi-bi, then all records has been cleared up.
Measuring records are kept in U-disk inner the meter as TXT.
User can check and revise with the accompanied software on PC.

User can recall all the records and export to excel with the software. The meter is
supplied with PC Software: DistView.exe, which is in the folder PCsoft in the U-disk
of the meter. Please DO NOT delete, remove or revise this file. All the operations of
the records will be done in the software.

Press to start/continue taping.
Press to pause, press to stop, and press to
exit taping.
Taping record will be saved as WAV to folder ,
and named by date. User also can recall the taping r
ecord in Music.

3. Short press to take a photo. User can recall photos in MENU/Picture, and
check photos in folder DCMI by connecting PC. Photo will be saved as JPG
and named by date.

2. Long press to full screen mode and start taking video;
3. Press or to exit full screen and stop videoing.
User can recall videos in MENU/Video., and watch them in folder Video by connecting
PC. Video will be saved as H264 and named by date.

settings. If user don't save the settings, the
alterations will be only available for recent use.
And all revised settings will be turn to default
values when you start the meter next time.
System Settings
ATTN: Calibration function may affect precision of the device, so this item cannot be
adjusted under default state. User need to follow the below steps for the calibration:
Step 1 Turn off the device;
Step 2 Press and hold the button and then press to start the meter. Release
when the welcome interface shows. Then release the till the meter
shows the main interface;
Step 3 Short press , choose system settings. Now it is free for the calibration.

1. Data: All records are saved in this folder. Please DO NOT delete or revise the files in this folder.
Open the folder, and read data.txt. User can read, export and print the records by Distview.
2. DCMI: All pictures are saved in this folder.

DistView.exe is a software for PC to check, export and print the records. It must be kept with

Videos are saved as H264 here. info is a special file, please don't delete or revise the contents in it.

Solution

Routine Maintenance
1) The meter should not be stored in high temperature and strong humidity environment for
long time;
2) If it is not used very often, please take out the battery and place the meter in the allocated
potable bag and store in cool and dry condition.
3) Please keep the device surface clean. Wet soft cloth is applied to clean dust, but erosion
liquid is never allowed to use for the meter maintenance.
4) Laser output window and its focus lens can be maintained according to maintenance
procedures for optical device.
