ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the hazard resulting from
entanglement or tripping over a longer cord. An extension cord may be used
with care; however, be sure the marked electrical rating is at least as great as the
electrical rating of this appliance. The extension cord should be positioned such
that it does not drape over the counter or tabletop where it can be pulled on by
children or tripped over. The electrical rating of this appliance is listed on the
bottom panel of the unit.
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce
the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
FEATURES OF YOUR JUICER
• Two juicing cones have pointed tips and deep ridges for maximum juice
extraction. Cones have built-in pulp scrapers to constantly clear pulp from
strainer, allowing juice to flow through more quickly. The small cone is ideal
for limes, lemons and small oranges. The large cone is ideal for grapefruits
and large oranges.
• Stainless steel strainer separates pulp and large seeds from juice.
• Two-position drip spout allows you to close the spout and collect the juice in
the juice container, or to open the spout and dispense the juice into a glass or
other container as it accumulates. Press down on spout to open; pull up to
close without drip or mess. Angled juice container allows juice to flow freely
and quickly toward the spout.
• Sturdy motor base eliminates movement of juicer on counter while in use.
•The cord winds under the motor base, providing for length adjustment
and storage.
• Cover keeps juicer dust-free when not in use.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using.
2. This juicer is designed for household use only.
3. Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.
4. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse juicer or electrical
cord in water or other liquid. If juicer falls into liquid, unplug the cord from
outlet immediately. DO NOT reach into the liquid.
5. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces,
including stove.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions, is dropped or damaged in any manner, or is not
operating properly. Return appliance to VillaWare for repair or replacement.
7. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
8. Do not use outdoors or anywhere the cord or motor body might come into
contact with water while in use.
9. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer, may

GETTING FAMILIAR WITH YOUR JUICER ASSEMBLING YOUR JUICER
Before your first use, wash all parts, except motor base, in warm, soapy water.
If attached, be sure to separate the two juicing cones. Grip top cone without
touching bottom edge; pull off bottom cone by pulling on one of the scrapers
until cones separate. Rinse and dry well. Wipe motor base with a warm sudsy
cloth, then wipe clean with a damp cloth. Dry with a soft cloth. Never immerse
motor base in water as this will damage the motor.
1. Place the motor base on a flat, level surface.
2. Place black juice container over drive shaft, aligning the drip spout with the
opening in the base.
3. Place stainless steel strainer onto drive shaft, rotating it until it falls into place
and fits securely.
4. If juicing large fruits (grapefruits or large-size oranges), place large cone onto
small cone, lining up the scrapers on the small cone with the cut openings in
the large cone. Snap cones together to lock. Place over drive shaft, rotating
slightly to lock into position. If juicing small fruits (limes, lemons, small
oranges or tangerines), do not attach large cone to small one. Simply place
small cone over drive shaft, rotating slightly to lock into position.
5. Adjust the length of the power cord, coiling any excess cord into the bottom
on the base. Plug the juicer into 110/120 volt AC wall outlet.
6. If collecting juice in a glass or other container, place under drip spout.
The glass or container can not be taller than 41⁄2inches. Press down on drip
spout to open. To collect juice in black container, be sure drip spout is in
the raised and locked position before beginning to juice. Your juicer is now
ready to use.

JUICING TIPS
1. Look for citrus fruits that are firm, plump and heavy for their size with
bright, colorful skins. Avoid fruits that are bruised or wrinkled.
2. Rinse citrus fruits to remove any pesticides or residues before juicing.
3. If citrus zest or grated rind is needed for a recipe, zest or grate rind
before juicing.
4. Use room temperature fruits for maximum juice. If the fruit is very cold, it
can be microwaved for a few seconds before juicing.
5. To loosen up the fibers and release more juice, roll the uncut fruit along the
countertop with the palm of your hand, pressing down firmly but gently.
6. When squeezing oranges, it is best to use a juicing variety, such as Valencia
oranges. When juicing Navel oranges, squeeze only as much as needed. Navel
orange juice should be served within 4 hours of squeezing because the juice
will turn bitter over time, even if refrigerated.
7. It is also best to consume freshly-squeezed citrus juices soon after juicing for
maximum vitamin C content. Vitamin C degrades quickly when exposed to
oxygen. Refrigerating the juice will help minimize the loss.
USING YOUR JUICER
1. Be sure your juicer is correctly assembled before using.
2. Cut citrus fruits crosswise in half, cutting across segments.
3. Place fruit, cut side down, over juicer cone; press down to begin rotation of
the juicing cone.
4. While holding fruit on the cone, tilt fruit slightly and squeeze the sides of
the fruit to ensure good contact with the juicer cone. Resist from pressing
too hard into the rind, as off-flavors from the rind may release into the juice.
5. Release pressure from fruit to stop rotation of the juicer.
6. When removing accumulated pulp from the strainer, lift strainer and cone
from drive shaft; empty pulp and seeds into trash can.
SAFE OPERATION OF YOUR JUICER
1. Be sure juicer is correctly assembled before using.
2. Do not run juicer continuously for longer than 5 minutes. Allow to rest at
least 2 minutes to allow motor to cool.
CLEANING YOUR JUICER
1. Be sure your juicer is unplugged before cleaning.
2. Remove the cone(s), strainer and juice container from the motor base. Wash
all parts with warm, soapy water; rinse well. Do not use abrasive scouring pads.
For thorough cleaning, press down on drip spout to its open position. Spout
can not be detached from the container. Wipe motor base with a damp cloth.
IMPORTANT:
• NEVER immerse motor base in water or other liquid.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners on any part of the juicer.
