Connecting cables must be installed so that inductive and capacitive noise do not interfere with the auto-
mation functions (in particular, do not run the control cables alongside power cables).
Fluctuations in mains voltage or deviations from its rating must not exceed the tolerance limits indicated in
the present instructions as these can cause faulty operation.
Reminder: the installation must comply with the provisions relating to the EMC Directive and the LVD.
The installation of this product and its accessories, their settings and any other work on them must be
carried out by a professional electrician in accordance with best practice, the EMC and Low Voltage Direc-
tives, applicable installation standards (NF C 15-100, etc.) and applicable safety rules.
Do not modify the factory wiring. Comply with the installation and connection plans supplied. Contact our
service department before making any installation or wiring modications.
Before switching on, check that the supply corresponds fully with the indications in these instructions and
those on the product: connection to a dierent voltage can result in destruction of the equipment.
Since this equipment is to be incorporated in an installation, the whole installation must be made compliant
and approved by the nal installer (compliance must be established with coordination type 1 of the appli-
cable standards EN 60204-1 and IEC 60947-4-1).

4/12 NT00000584-PILOT-PARC-ESCLAVE-AN-200723
Certain box references include a device to protect the supply against short-circuits. Ensure that the
short-circuit current between this unit and the motor(s) connected is lower than the breaking capacity of
this protection device (aM type fuses).
The motor(s) and other accessories that require it must be earthed via this unit.
The electrical signals delivered must not be used for any purpose other than those described in these
instructions; failure to comply with this instruction can have serious consequences for the operator and/or
the equipment.
Emergency shutos must be installed on any machine requiring this function.
Isolate and secure the supply before any work on the equipment (installation or maintenance operation),
which must be carried out by qualied and authorised personnel.
Even when this product is disconnected from power, it may contain hazardous voltage levels from external
control circuits:
Risk of electric shock and electrical arc
1.2 Reception - Storage
Every product is carefully inspected before shipping. On reception, you must check that it has not been
damaged during transport. If this should be the case, make it known to the transporter within 72hrs, by
recorded letter with notice of receipt, summarising all the reservations established at the time of delivery. If
the equipment is received without express reservation, the purchaser has no recourse against VIM.
The product must be stored protected from weather, shocks and soiling due to splashing of any kind during
its transport from the supplier to the nal customer and on the site before installation.
Temperature: -20°C to +60°C
Relative humidity: 30 to 95% without condensation.
1.3 Warranty
Any removal or addition of material in the unit and any work on the original wiring is not permitted without
our authorisation and could result in the withdrawal of approvals and the warranty.
An electrical connection not consistent with the diagram described in this notice and/or installation regula-
tions in force invalidates our warranty contract.
The unit must be used according to manufacturer’s specications, otherwise the function it fulls could be
compromised.
The equipment supplied is normally covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of invoice.
The following are excluded from our warranty: faults connected with abnormal use or use not in accord-
ance with the recommendations in our manuals and instructions, defects found following normal wear and
tear, incidents caused by negligence, failure to monitor or maintain correctly, defects due to poor installa-
tion of the equipment or to poor storage conditions before installation.

3. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
3.1 Instructions before connecting
3.1.1 Power supply
Three-phase 400V 50/60Hz + Earth, according to current standards.
Connect the power cable phases directly to the switch-disconnector and the earth conductor on one of
the specic terminals provided for this purpose.
The connection wire cross-section must be identical from the motor to the rst magnetic protection de-
vice encountered upstream (PILOT PARC cabinet or Low Voltage Main Panel depending on model).

6/12 NT00000584-PILOT-PARC-ESCLAVE-AN-200723
3.1.2 Motor output
Connect the motor phases directly to the corresponding thermal relay and the earth conductor on one of
the specic terminals provided for this purpose.
For versions controlling a Dahlander motor, check the securing of conductors connecting the KME to the
thermal relay output Rtpv once the motor is connected.
Set each thermal relay LS and HS to the corresponding value on the connected motor’s plate.
3.2 Selection of cables and their protection, according to NF C 15-100
Application of coordination type 1: for an installation in accordance with the regulations, it is imperative to
install magnetic electrical protection on the power supply to units of the following type:
