Duringtheice‐makingstage,thehotgassolenoidvalveisclosed.Thehotrefrigerantgasis
pumpedoutoffcompressortocondenser.Thehotgasiscooledbyfanforcedairtowarmliquid
refrigerantafterpassingthroughthecondenser.Thedrier&filterreducesthepossibledirtyand
humidityintherefrigerant.Theevaporatoriscooledbytherefrigerant.Soicecanformedonthe
evaporatorduringwaterissprayedtotheevaporator.Lowpressurerefrigerantgasmaygoback
compressorfromtheevaporator.
Duringtheiceharveststage,thesolenoidvalveisopen.Thehotrefrigerantgasispumpedoutoff
compressortoevaporatorthroughhotgasvalve.Asthehotgasisnotcooledbythecondenser,the
refrigerantmakestheevaporator(icemold)warm.Sosomeicetouchingtheevaporatoristhawed.
Alloficecanslidedowntotheicestoragebin.
WaterSystem
Whenthewatersupplypipeisconnectedwiththemainwatersupply,waterwillfillthewater
troughthroughthefloatervalvetillenoughwaterinsidewatertroughmakesfloatervalveclose.
Duringice‐makingstage,waterispumpedfromthewatertroughtothewaterdistributiontube.
Thedistributedwaterflowthesurfaceofevaporator.Mostpartsofwatergobackwatertrough.
Somewaterisfrozenontheevaporatorstepbystep.Thefloatervalvewillopenandfreshwateris
recruitedatanymoment.

CircuitDescription
1.ElectrifyStatusForTheFirstTime
Astheicemakerisproperlyinstalled.switchonthewatertap,letthewatertroughfull(reachon
thelevel),thenturntheICE/OFF/WASHswitchtotheICEpositiononthefrontpanel.Theicemaker
willstartworkingautomatically
Inthisstatus,thetimeisfixedabout3minutes.Thisfunctionisalsohelpfultoprotectthe
compressoravoidingrestartwithin3minutes.
Atthisstatus,theRed,Green,YellowLEDsarelighttogether.
2.Ice‐makingStatus
Thecompressor,motorfanandpumparepoweredon.Thehotgassolenoidvalveispoweredoff.
WhenthisgreenLEDislit,theunitisworkingintheicemakingmodecontrolledbyatemperature
probeontheevaporator.WhenthegreenLEDisflashing,theunitisworkingintheicemaking
modecontrolledbyafixedtimer.
Thefanmotorisalsocontrolledbyacondensersensor.Whentheambienttemperatureistoo
lower,themotorfanstopworkingforgoodcondensationtorefrigerant.
3.IceHarvestStatus
Thepumpispoweredoff.Thehotgassolenoidvalve,compressorandmotorfanispoweredon.
Thefanmotorisalsocontrolledbyacondensersensor.Whentheambienttemperatureistoo
lower,themotorfanstopworkingforgoodcondensationtorefrigerant.
TheYellowLEDindicatestheiceharveststatus.
4.IceFullStatusAndColdPreservationStage
Iftheicebinisfulfilledwithiceorthefullsensoriscovered,themachinestopsmakingiceand
turntocoldpreservationstageautomatically.
Inthisstatus,thecompressorworksregularlytokeepthelowertemperatureforlowericemelting.
Therestoftheelectriccomponentsarepoweredoff.TheREDLEDindicatestheicefullstatus
andtheGREENANDYELLOWLEDtogetherindicatesthecoldpreservationstatus.
Controllerbox:
InstructionsforLEDsandbuttons:
1.RedLED:Icefullindicatorlight.
WhenthisLEDislit,theicestoragebinisfulloficeorthereissomethingbetweentheice‐full
sensorintheicestoragebin.Theunitwillstopmakingice.Whenicecubesaretakenoutoftheice
storagebinmakingtheice‐fullprobefree,theredLEDwillkeepflashingfor3minutes.Thenthe
unitwillrestartandreturntotheicemakingmode.
2.GreenLED:Icemakingindicatorlight.
WhenthisLEDislit,theunitisworkingintheicemakingmodecontrolledbyatemperatureprobe
ontheevaporator.WhenthegreenLEDisflashing,theunitisworkingintheicemakingmode
controlledbyafixedtimer.
3.YellowLED:Iceharvestindicatorlight.
WhenthisLEDislit,theunitisworkingintheiceharvestmodecontrolledbyice‐fullprobe.

WhengreenLEDandyellowLEDislit,itmeanstheunitisworkinginthecoldpreservationstage.
4.Modebutton:
Mainlyforservice.Whenthisbuttonispressed,itcanchangefromicemakingmodetoiceharvest
mode,orfromiceharvestmodetoicemakingmode.Youcanjudgethemodefromthestatusof
thegreenandyellowLEDs.
IceSizeAdjustmentGuide:
FS‐55IM
1. Pressandholdthe“Clean”buttonandthe“Mode”buttontogetherforatleast3seconds.The
unitwillentertheIceSizeAdjustmentmode.The“HARVEST”LED(yellow)willbeblinking
continuouslyduringtheicesizeadjustment.
2. WhileintheIceSizeAdjustmentmode,pressthe“Clean”buttonorthe“Mode”buttonforthe
desiredicesize.
Smallericesetting:
Bypressingthe“Clean”button,youcandecreasethesizeoftheicecubes.The“ICE”LED(green)
willflashasyoulowertheicesizeandwillfinallybeblinkingatthesettingofsmallesticesize.
Largericesetting:
Bypressingthe“Mode”button,youcanincreasethesizeoftheicecubes.The“BINFULL”LED
(red)willflashasthelargersizeissetandwillblinkwhenthesettingoflargesticesizehasbeen
reached.
After10secondswithoutanyoperation,theunitwillreturntothepreviousmode.
NOTE:Duringtheicesizeadjustment,the“BINFULL”,“ICE”and“HARVEST”LEDSblinkingallat
onceindicatethattheunitisinthedefaultfactorysettingoftheicesize.
FS‐50IMOD
Icesizeadjust:Turnthescrewclockwise,andthesizeofindividualicecubeswillbelargerinthenextcycle;
thecycletimewillbelonger.Turnthescrewcounterclockwise,andtheicesizewillbesmallerinthenext
cycle.
NOTE:Itisnotagoodideatoadjusttheicesizeoftenorfornogoodreason,becausethecontrollermay
damaged.
MAJORFUNCTIONS
1. Theoperatingprocedureiscompletelyautomatic.
2. Whentheicestoragebinisfulloficecubes,themachinestopsmakingiceandproceedstothe
coldpreservationstageautomatically.Itstartsmakingiceagainaftericecubesareremoved.
3. ThedifferentcolorsoftheLEDdisplayindicatevariousworkmodes.
4. Thefanmotorrespondstotheambienttemperature.Ifitiscold,themotorwillstopworking
tokeepthecoolingsystemingoodworkingcondition.

ReplaceController,fuseandthesensoroftemperature
¾Removetherearcover,frontpanel,
¾LocatetheElectroniccontroller,
¾Pulloutthesensorsoftemperature(oneattheevaporator,anotheratthecondenser).
¾loosenthescrewsofrootingtheElectroniccontroller,replaceanewone.Reversetheabove
steptoreplace.
¾Ifyouneedreplacethefuse,openthefrontpanelofthecontrolbox,youwillfindthefigure.
Accordingthefigure,takeoutthefuse,replacea
newone.
Reversetheabovesteptoreassemble.
¾Ifyouneedreplacethesensorsoftemperature,pulloutthesensoroftemperature,openthe
panelofthecontrollerbox,pullouttheotherside,replaceanewone.Reversetheabovestep
toreassemble.
Replacethewatersystemcomponents
Pleaseseethewatersystemdrawing.Thewaterleakageshouldbecheckedafterthiskindof
operation

¾Unplugthelinesconnectorwiththewaterpump,thewateroutlettubeofpumpandthe

waterinlettubeofpump.
¾Loosenthescrews,replaceanewone.
¾Reversetheabovesteptoreassemble.
Replacethecoolingsystemcomponents
Replacethecondensingcomponents,SeeFigure“coolingsystem”
1.Replacethecompressorandthecompressorkit(includesrelay,thermalprotect).
¾Ifonlyneedreplacethecompressorkit,removetherear,locatethecompressor,taketheclip,
openthecover,replacethewrong,
¾Reversetheabovesteptoreassemble.
¾Ifneedreplacethecompressor,removetherearcover,andcabinet,locatethecompressor.
¾Unplugthelinesandtakenouttheearthline,addlowsideaccessvalve,openthe
Process/Suction,evacuaterefrigerant,takeoutthecompressor,replaceanewone,joint
together,thenrecoverrefrigerant,weighinthenameplatecharge.
¾Reversetheabovesteptoreassemble.
2.Replacethefanmotorandfanblade.
¾Removethefrontpanel,rearandcabinet.
¾locatethefanmotor,unplugthelinesconnectingwiththefanmotor,loosenthescrewsof
holdingfanmotorbracket.
¾Replaceanewone,Ifonlyneedreplacethefanblade,loosenthescrewsholdingthefanblade,
takenoutthedamaged,replaceanewone.
¾Reversetheabovesteptoreassemble.
3.Replacethehotgasvalve,drierandevaporator.
¾Removetherearcover.
¾Locatethedrierandhotgasvalve,addlowsideaccessvalve,recoverrefrigerant,replacethe
drierandhotgasvalve,evacuateandweighinthenameplatecharge.
¾Reversetheabovesteptoreassemble.
¾Ifneedreplacetheevaporator.
¾Removetherear,locatetheevaporator,addlowsideaccessvalve,opentheprocess/suction,
weldopenthetwowelds,replaceanewone.Recoverrefrigerant,evacuateandweighinthe
nameplatecharge.
¾Reversetheabovesteptoreassemble.
