1. Consignes de sécurité
1.1 Instructions de sécurité
a) Ne pas utiliser dans des atmosphères explosives, telles qu'en présence de liquides
inflammables, de gaz ou de poussières lourdes.
b) Ne pas exposer à des produits chimiques corrosifs.
c) L'utilisation de mini VISIOVAL (et le LOCALISATEUR) devra être limitée aux milieux secs
car il n'est pas étanche.
1.2 Règles générales de sécurité
AVERTISSEMENT! Lisez toutes les instructions. Le non-respect de toutes les
instructions indiquées
ci-après peut cause un choc électrique, un incendie et/ou de graves blessures. Le terme «outil
électrique» dans tous les avertissements indiqués ci-après se réfère à votre outil électrique (à fil)
manuel ou aux outils à piles (sans fil).
CONSERVEZ CES INSTRUCTIONS.
1) Zone de travail
a) Tenez la zone de travail propre et bien éclairée. Les zones encombrées et sombres sont
propices aux accidents.
b) N’utilisez pas les outils électriques dans des atmosphères explosives, par exemple en
présence de liquides inflammables, gaz ou poussières. Les outils électriques créent des
étincelles qui pourraient enflammer les poussières ou les vapeurs.
c) Tenez les enfants et les passants à distance lorsque vous utilisez un outil électrique. Les
distractions peuvent vous faire perdre le contrôle.
2) Sécurité électrique
a) Les prises électriques des outils électriques doivent correspondre au réseau. Ne jamais
modifier la prise électrique de quelque façon que ce soit. Ne pas utiliser d'adaptateur avec
des outils électriques mis à la terre. Les prises électriques non modifiées et les réseaux adaptés
réduisent les risques de choc électrique.
b) Évitez tout contact du corps avec les surfaces reliées à la terre comme les tuyaux, les
radiateurs, les cuisinières et les réfrigérateurs. Le risque de choc électrique augmente si votre
corps est relié à la terre. L'eau dans un outil électrique augmente le risque de choc électrique.
c) Le fil électrique doit toujours être en bon état. Ne jamais utiliser le fil électrique pour
transporter, tirer ou débrancher un outil électrique. Gardez le cordon loin de la chaleur,
l'huile, des arêtes vives ou des pièces mobiles. Les fils électriques endommagés ou emmêlés
augmentent le risque de choc électrique.
d) Lorsque vous utilisez un outil électrique à l'extérieur, utilisez une rallonge conçue pour
une utilisation extérieure. L'utilisation d'un fil électrique adapté à un usage extérieur réduit le
risque de choc électrique.

3) Sécurité personnelle
a) Restez attentif, regardez ce que vous faites et utilisez le bon sens lors de l'utilisation d'un
outil électrique. Ne pas utiliser un outil électrique si vous êtes fatigué ou sous l'influence
de drogues, d'alcool ou de médicaments. Un moment d'inattention pendant l'utilisation des outils
électriques peut entraîner de graves blessures.
b) Utilisez l’équipement de sécurité. Portez toujours des protections oculaires. L'équipement de
sécurité tel qu'un masque à poussière, des chaussures de sécurité antidérapantes, un casque ou
une protection auditive utilisé pour les conditions appropriées réduira les blessures.
c) N’allezpas trop loin. Conservez un appui et un équilibreappropriés àtout moment. Cela
permet un meilleur contrôle de l'outil dans les situations imprévues.
d) Portez des vêtements appropriés.Neportez pas de vêtements amples ou de bijoux.Tenez
vos cheveux, vos vêtements et vos gants éloignés des pièces mobiles. Les vêtements
amples, les bijoux et les cheveux longs peuvent être pris dans les pièces mobiles.
e) Si des dispositifs sont prévus pour le raccordement de mécanismes de collecte ou
d’extraction de la poussière, s'assurer qu'ils sont connectés et utilisés correctement.
L'utilisation de ces dispositifs permet de réduire les risques liés à la poussière.
4) Utilisation et entretien de l'outil électrique
a) Ne forcez pas l’outil. Utilisez l'outil adapté à votre application. L’outil électrique approprié
effectuera un travail meilleur et plus sûr dans les conditions pour lesquelles il a été conçu.
b) N'utilisez pas l'outil électrique si l'interrupteur marche/arrêt ne fonctionne pas
correctement. Tout outil électrique qui ne peut pas être contrôlé par son interrupteur est dangereux
et doit être réparé.
c) Débranchez la prise électrique de la source d'alimentation avant de procéder à des
réglages, de changer les accessoires ou de ranger les outils électriques. Ces mesures de
sécurité préventives réduisent le risque de démarrage accidentel de l'outil.
d) Rangez les outils électriques inutilisés hors de portée des enfants et ne laissez pas des
personnes inexpertes ou ne connaissant pas ces instructions utiliser l'outil électrique. Les
outils électriques sont dangereux entre les mains de personnes inexpérimentées.
e) Entretenez vos outils électriques. Vérifiez tout désalignement ou blocage des pièces
mobiles, rupture des pièces, et toute autre facteur pouvant affecter le fonctionnement de
l’outil. S'il est endommagé, le faire réparer avant utilisation. De nombreux accidents sont causés
par des outils mal entretenus.
f) Utilisez l'outil électrique, les accessoires, etc., conformément à ces instructions et de la
manière prévue pour ce type particulier d'outil électrique, en tenant compte des conditions
de travail et du travail à effectuer. L'utilisation de cet outil électrique pour des opérations

consultez un médecin. Des fuites de liquide de la batterie peuvent provoquer des irritations ou des
brûlures.
6) Révision
Faites réviser votre outil électrique par un réparateur qualifié en n'utilisant que des pièces
de rechange identiques. Cela assurera que la sécurité de l'outil est toujours d’actualité.

3. Fonction du produit
3.1 Description
Le LOCALISATEUR est prévu pour être utilisé avec le CABLE 16m pour mini VISIOVAL (réf.
294121) et la caméra mini VISIOVAL (réf. 294110). Après avoir repéré la fuite ou le bouchon, la
caméra mini VISIOVAL doit être détachée du CABLE 16m pour mini VISIOVAL et être ensuite
rebranché au LOCALISATEUR pour repérer la fréquence émise par la tête du CABLE 16m pour
mini VISIOVAL. Ces 3 appareils, lorsqu’ils sont utilisés ensemble, fournissent un dispositif
professionnel pour inspecter, identifier et localiser précisément la position d’un tuyau ou conduit
de drainage endommagé ou obstrué. Remarque - toute autre sonde émettant des fréquences
compatibles peut être également repérée en utilisant le LOCALISATEUR avec la caméra mini
VISIOVAL.
REMARQUE IMPORTANTE – Il est toujours recommandé de se
renseigner sur la disposition des réseaux tous-terrains AVANT DE
CREUSER pour vérifier la position de toute ligne électrique ou conduite
de gaz souterraine potentiellement dangereuse.
VEUILLEZ NOTER que les conduites ne transmettent pas toutes un
signal approprié pouvant être détecté par un traceur de conduite (par
ex. conduites de gaz qui ne possèdent aucune charge électrique quelle
qu’elle soit). Cet outil ne doit pas remplacer un protocole de sécurité
standard –Contactez toujours les sociétés de fourniture de
réseaux avant de creuser pour éviter les erreurs dangereuses
voire fatales!
3.2 Equipement Standard

3.3 Connexion du LOCALISATEUR au mini VISIOVAL
Une seule caméra est nécessite pour travailler avec le LOCALISATEUR. Assurez-vous
toujours que l'appareil est hors tension lors de l'installation ou du retrait du mini
VISIOVAL.
Pour utiliser le LOCALISATEUR, la fiche du LOCALISATEUR doit être branchée à la fente de la
caméra mini VISIOVAL.
Pour brancher le LOCALISATEUR à la caméra, assurez-vous que la fiche et la fente (Figure 1)
sont correctement alignées. Une fois branchés, serrez à la main l'écrou moleté pour tenir la
connexion en place.

3.4 Fixation du mini VISIOVAL au LOCALISATEUR
La figure 2 montre la procédure de fixation de la caméra mini VISIOVAL dans le réceptacle du
LOCALISATEUR.
4. Utilisation du LOCALISATEUR
Pour détecter la localisation de la tête de caméra émetrice du CABLE 16m pour mini VISIOVAL :
1 – Assurez-vous que l’interrupteur marche/arrêt situé sur le support du CABLE 16m soit sur la
position marche
2 – Allumez la caméra e appuyant sur le bouton marche/arrêt.
3 – Suivez simplement les flèches à l’écran (gauche/droite) et marchez en suivant le chemin
conduisant à l’horizon, comme si vous marchiez sur le chemin lui-même. Observez l’augmentation de
puissance du signal réceptionné à l’aide de l’indicateur numérique et des ondes de l’antenne
émettrice. L’indicateur sonore vous permettra également de savoir si vous vous rapprochez de
l’émetteur/sonde (la puissance du volume est réglable).

4 - Pour modifier les paramètres dont vous avez besoin, touchez l'écran tactile. Une icône outils
apparaîtra dans la le coin inférieur gauche de l'écran. Appuyez sur l'icône d'outils et la fenêtre
suivante s'ouvrira.
Appuyez sur les icônes ci-dessous pour ajuster les réglages comme indiqué.

5- Lorsque vous avez atteint l’emplacement où le signal est le plus fort (cela signifie que
vous êtes au dessus de l’émetteur/sonde), appuyez sur la touche entrée pour faire passer l’écran
en affichage de profondeur et connaître la profondeur de l’émetteur/sonde. Appuyez à nouveau
sur la touche entrée pour revenir à l’affichage horizontal.

5. Consignes de nettoyage
1. Utilisez des tampons imbibés d'alcool, de détergent doux et des chiffons humides pour
enlever la saleté et la graisse du produit.

7. Stockage

Les composants de l'appareil sont recyclables et doivent être mis au recyclage. À cette fin, des

contacter votre autorité locale d'élimination des déchets.
Ne pas jeter les appareils électriques avec les ordures ménagères. Conformément à

électroniques et sa mise en œuvre comme droit national, les outils électriques qui ne

Durée de la garantie
Conformément à nos conditions générales de vente, la période de garantie de votre outil est de
deux ans dans des conditions normales d’utilisation, hors consommables. Une preuve d’achat
sera demandée (facture ou bon de livraison).

La présente garantie couvre tous les défauts de matériaux ou vices de fabrication de votre outil
VIRAX. Dans ce cas, l’outil vous sera retourné sans frais. Votre outil sera réparé ou remplacé à
l’identique.
Ce qui n’est pas couvert par la garantie
Les pannes imputables à un mauvais usage, aux abus, à une surcharge, au non respect des
instructions d’utilisation, à une intervention sur la machine d’une personne non agréée par un
centre de réparation Service Après Vente ou à une usure normale ne sont pas couvertes par la
présente garantie.
VIRAX n’assume aucune responsabilité pour les dommages subis par les accessoires ou causés
aux objets ou personnes proches de la machine. Le produit ne doit pas avoir été désassemblé.
Particularité de la présente garantie
La présente garantie est la seule garantie valable sur votre produit VIRAX. Aucun employé, agent,
marchand ou autre personne n’est autorisé à modifier la présente garantie ou à fournir d’autres
garanties au nom de VIRAX.

1. Safety precautions
1.1 Safety instructions
a) Do not use in an explosive environment, i.e. in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or
heavy dust particles.

as it is not waterproof.
1.2 General safety rules

below may result in electric shock, fire and/or severe injuries. The term "power tools" in all the
warnings stated hereafter refers to hand power tools connected to mains and to battery operated
tools (cordless).

1) Work area
a) Ensure that the work area is kept clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas are accident prone.
b) Do not use power tools in an explosive environment, i.e. in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Power tools produce sparks which could ignite dust or vapors.
c) Keep children and bystanders at a safe distance when using a power tool. Being distracted
might result in losing control of the power tool.
2) Electrical safety
a) The tool’s power plug must be suited to the electrical network. Never modify the power plug

use of a power cord suited to outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.

3) Personal safety
a) Stay vigilant, watch what you are doing and use common sense when using a power tool.
Do not use a power tool if you are tired, under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. A short lapse of attention while using a power tool may result in severe injuries.
b) Use safety gear. Always wear safety goggles. Safety gear such as a dust mask, non-slip safety
shoes, a hard-hat or a hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce the risk of
injury.
c) Do not increase your range. Make sure at all times that you have a firm footing and that you
do not lose your balance. This ensures a better control of the tool should anything unexpected
happen.
d) Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery and long hair are likely to get
caught in moving parts.
e) If there is a possibility to connect devices for collecting or extracting dust, make sure that
these devices are connected and correctly used. Using such devices reduces dust-related
risks.
4) Use and maintenance of the power tool
a) Do not force the tool. Use a tool suitable for your intended purpose. An appropriate power tool
will result in better and safer results when used under the conditions for which it has been designed.
b) Do not use a power tool if the ON/OFF switch does not work properly. A power tool which can
not be controlled by wayof its ON/OFF switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Unplug the tool from its power supply before going about any settings, before changing
accessories, or before storing it. These preventive safety measures reduce the risk of untimely
starting of the tool.
d) Store unused power tools out of the reach of children and do not put them in inexpert
hands or let them be used by people who are not aware of the present safety instructions.
Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain your power tools in good working order. Check for any misalignment or blocking
of moving parts, broken parts, and any other factors which may impair the functioning of
the tool. If it is damaged, have it repaired before use. Many accidents result from poorly maintained

f) Use the power tool and its accessories, as per these present instructions and in the way it
is meant to be used, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be done.

5) Use and maintenance of the batteries
a) Recharge the battery only with the charger stated by the manufacturer. A charger appropriate
for a certain type of battery may cause a fire if used with another battery.

3. Function of the product
3.1 Description
The locator is intended for use with the 16 m CABLE for mini VISIOVAL (ref. 294121) and the
Mini VISIOVAL camera (ref. 294110). Once a leak or blockage has been identified with the
camera, the Mini VISIOVAL camera should then be disconnected from the 16 m CABLE for Mini
VISIOVAL, and then connected to the LOCATOR to detect the frequency emitted by the head of
the 16 m CABLE for Mini VISIOVAL. Used together, these 3 devices provide a professional
device for inspecting, identifying and precisely locating the position of a damaged or clogged
drainage pipe. Note - any other SONDE (transmitter) emitting compatible frequencies can be
detected by way of the LOCATOR used with the Mini VISIOVAL camera.
IMPORTANT NOTE – Information should be sought out on the layout
of underground networks BEFORE DIGGING to check the position of
any potentially dangerous underground power line or gas pipe.
PLEASE NOTE that “not” all underground pipes emit a suitable signal
which can be detected with a locator (e.g. gas pipes that have no
electrical charge whatsoever). This tool must not be relied upon to
replace a standard safety protocol –Always contact the network
providers before digging so as to avoid dangerous or fatal
mistakes!
3.2 Standard Equipment

3.3 Connecting the LOCATOR to the Mini VISIOVAL
Only one device should be connected to the mini VISIOVAL at a time. Ensure that the
mini VISIOVAL is shut off when installing or removing imagers or other accessories.
In order to use the LOCATOR, the LOCATOR plug must be plugged into the Mini VISIOVAL
camera's slot.
To connect the LOCATOR to the camera, ensure that the plug and the slot (Figure 1) are properly
aligned. Once connected, fasten the knurled nut by hand to secure the connection.

3.4 Fixing the Mini VISIOVAL to theLOCATOR
Figure 2 shows the procedure for fixing the portable Mini VISIOVAL camera in the space provided
on the LOCATOR
4. Using the LOCATOR
To detect the location of the emitter of the 16 m CABLE camera for Mini VISIOVAL:
1 – Make sure that the ON/OFF switch located on the16 m CABLE tri-pod base is in the ON position
(Green LED Light). Note – the emitter/SONDE also has a 1 hour auto shut off timer.
2 – Turn the camera (mini VISIOVAL) on with the ON/OFF switch.
3 – Simply follow the arrows on the screen (left/right) and walk along following the straightest path
towards the horizon, as if you were actually walking on such a path. Watch the increase of the
received signal's strength via the digital indicator and the waves on the emitter antenna. The audio
indicator will also enable you to know if you are getting closer to, or further away from, the
emitter/SONDE - the volume is adjustable.

3. Funzionamento del prodotto
3.1 Descrizione
L’uso del localizzatore è concepito insieme al cavo 16 m per mini VISIOVAL (rif. 294121) e alla
telecamera Mini VISIOVAL (rif. 294110). Una volta che una perdita o un blocco sono stati
identificati con la telecamera, la Mini VISIOVAL dovrebbe essere scollegata dal CAVO 16 m, e
quindi collegata al LOCATOR per rilevare la frequenza emessa dal capo del CAVO 16 m per Mini
VISIOVAL. Utilizzati insieme, questi tre dispositivi rappresentano un dispositivo professionale per

3.2 Attrezzatura standard

3.3 Connettereil LOCATOR al Mini VISIOVAL
Soltanto un dispositivo alla volta può essere collegato al mini VISIOVAL. Assicurarsi
sempre che il dispositivo sia spento quando si installa o si rimuove un imager o altri
accessori.
Per poter utilizzare il LOCATOR, la spina del LOCATOR deve essere inserita nello slot della
macchina fotografica Mini VISIOVAL. Per collegare il LOCATOR alla telecamera, assicurarsi che
la spina e la fessura (Figura 1) siano allineate correttamente. Una volta collegato, fissare il dado
zigrinato a mano per fissare il collegamento.

3.4 Fissare il Mini VISIOVAL al LOCATOR

4. Usare il LOCATOR
Per rilevare la posizione del trasmettitore della macchina fotografica 16 m Cavo per Mini
VISIOVAL:
1 - Verificare che l'interruttore ON / OFF posto sulla base del cavalletto del CAVO 16 m sia in
posizione ON (LED verde chiaro). Nota - l'emettitore / SONDE si spegne anche da solo dopo 1 ora.
2 – Accendere la telecamera (mini VISIOVAL) con l'interruttore ON / OFF.
