awealthofentertainment,modern
car
radios,
with
theirrangeofsophisticated
features,alsoprovidea greatdealofin-
formationabouttrafficandroadconditions,
etc.
However,
the
radio,
with
allits
possibilities,should
only
beusedif
conditions
really
allow
it.
For
example,changingcassettesorreading
cassette
labelswhiledrivinghavefre-
quentlyledtodangeroussituations.
The
volumeoftheradioshouldalsobeset
so
that
acousticsignalsfromoutsidecan
also
beheard.

Anti-Theft
Coding
The
anti-theft
codingwillelectronicallypre-
ventunauthorizedpersonsfromoperating
the
unit
ifithasbeenremovedfromtheve-
hicle.
Iftheword
"SAFE"
isdisplayedwhenthe
radioisswitchedon,itcanonlybeoperated
byenteringthe
correct
code- seepage

Thiscode
number,
together
with
the
unit's
serial
number,
canbe
found
on
the"RadioCard"atthe
front

this

very
important

you
detach
this

Turnthe knobto
switch
the
radioonand
off
and
control
the
volume.
Atthe
same
time,
the
automaticaerial,
if
fitted,will
ex-
tend.
The
frequencytuned
in
before
the
radiowaslastswitched
off
willbereceived.
Ifthe
radio
ison
when
thekeyis
removed
from
the
ignition,
it
automaticallyswitches
off.
If
thekeyisputorturnedintheignitionlock,
theradioswitches
on
automatically.
Withtheignitionkeyremoved,theradiocan
be
switchedbackon
bybrieflypressing
theknoborby
switching
offandon
again.It
willswitch
off
againautomatically
afterapprox.1 hour.Thisprocesscan
be
re-
peated
as
often
asis
required.
When
the
unit
is
switched
off,a
flashing
LED
indicates
that
the
radio
is
equipped
with
an
activatedAnti-Theft
Code.

Vehicleswithscreenaerialshavetheadded
advantagesthatthereisno
risk
ofdamage
orwear.
Care:
A dirtytelescopicaerialisdifficultto
push inandmayevenbebentinthepro-
cess.Whenthecariswashed,dryoffthe
aerialandcleanitfrom timetotimewith
