Operating the radio whilst
driving
Modern trafficconditionsdemandthe con-
stantattentionofroadusers.
Besides awealthofentertainment,modern
car radios, with theirrangeofsophisticated
features,alsoprovidea greatdealofin-
formationabouttrafficandroadconditions,
etc.
However, the radio, with allits
possibilities,should only beusedif
conditions really allow it.
For example,changingcassettesorreading
cassette labelswhiledrivinghavefre-
quentlyledtodangeroussituations.
The volumeoftheradioshouldalsobeset
so that acousticsignalsfromoutsidecan
also beheard.

Please concentrate onyour driv-

Anti-Theft Coding
The anti-theft codingwillelectronicallypre-
ventunauthorizedpersonsfromoperating
the unit ifithasbeenremovedfromtheve-
hicle.
Iftheword "SAFE" isdisplayedwhenthe
radioisswitchedon,itcanonlybeoperated
byenteringthe correct code- seepage
13.
Thiscode number, together with the
unit's serial number, canbe found on
the"RadioCard"atthe front of this
instruction manual, next tothecon-
tacts.
Itis very important that you detach
this "RadioCard"and keep itina
safe place- never keep itintheve-
hicle.Only then isthe radio useless
to thieves!
