Dustbag indicator and changing the dustbag
Forpeak performance thedustbag should bechanged when full.The
mechanicaldustbag indicator windowwill gradually turnred when filling
andcompletely red whenfull.
Ifthe dustbag shouldget broken inthe cleaner, takecleaner to service
centrefor cleaning. Thisis not coveredby the guarantee.
Thedustbag full indicatormay signify thatthe bag isblocked
(occasionallycaused by finerdust) which willcause loss ofsuction and
mayresult in overheating.If this occurschange the bageven if itis not
full.DONOTVACUUMVERYFINEDUST(PLASTER,CEMENT,COLDCINDERS...).
Tocheck the dustbag,the cleaner mustbe switched on,with all
attachmentsconnected but thenozzle does nothave to beplaced on the
floor.
To change the dustbag
7 Openthe cleaner cover.
8 Removethe dustbag fromits holder.
Insertthe new dustbaginto the holder.
9 Adjustthe upper partof the dustbaginto the dustbagcompartment.
7 Closethe dustbag compartmentand continue cleaning.
We recommend the dustbag is changed after using a carpet cleaning
powder or if there is a bad smell from the cleaner.

Dustbag safety device
Toavoiddamaging the cleaner, donotuse it without adustbag.A safety
deviceisfitted which prevents thecoverclosing without a dustbagin
place.Donot attempt to forcecovershut.
Changing/cleaning the filters
Neveruse the cleanerwithout the filtersin place.
Thefiltersshouldbe changed/cleaned approximately every fifth dustbag.
To maintain Motor Protection filter
7 Openthe cleaner cover.
9 Removethe filter unit,rinse the filterunder warm tapwater only and
drythe filter completely(10,14,15). The originalfiltering
performanceis now restored.Replace the unitback into thecleaner
andclose cover ensuringit is securelyin place andthe cover is
properlyclosed. (10,7)
Latestevery second yearreplace the oldfilter with anew one.
To maintain Micro filter (U4401)
11 Pressthe catch toopen the filtercover.
12 Removethe filter unit,rinse the filterunder warm tapwater only and
drythe filter completely(12,14,15). The originalfiltering
performanceis now restored.Replace the unitback into thecleaner
andclose cover ensuringit is properlyfastened. (12,11)
Latestevery second yearreplace the oldfilter with anew one.
To maintain HEPA filter (U4402)
11 Pressthe catch toopen the filtercover.
13 Replacethe old filterwith a newone ensuring thatit is securelyin
placeand the coveris properly closed.
Latestevery second yearreplace the oldfilter or approximatelyevery
fifthdustbag.
Troubleshooting
Dustbag: pleasecheck that thedustbag is placedcorrectly and ensure
thatit is notjammed.
Power: ifthe electric powerdoes not comeon, disconnect frommains
andcheck plugs, cableand fuses whereappropriate.
Thecleaner may switchitself off inevent of severeblockage or
excessivelydirty filters. Insuch cases, disconnectfrom mains andallow
tocool for 30minutes. Clear blockageand/or replace filter(s)and restart.
Theclearing of blockedhoses is notcovered by theguarantee. To avoid
blockagesand maintain suctionefficiency, the floornozzles should be
cleanedregularly using thehose handle.

Water: ifwater is suckedinto the cleanerthe motor mustbe changed ata
servicecentre. This isnot covered bythe guarantee.
