Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung:
- Anschluß und Betrieb von Kleinspannungsverbrauchern mit einer Betriebsspan-
nung von 6 oder 7,5 oder 9 oder 12 oder 13,5 oder 15 VDC. Die Stromaufnahme
eines angeschlossenen Verbrauchers darf bis 12 VDC 4,2 A und von 13,5 bis 15
VDC 3,2 A Stromaufnahme nicht überschreiten. Eine Überschreitung führt zur
Überlastung des Netzteiles; bei einer Überlastung des Netzteiles z.B. durch Kurz-
schluss oder zu hohe Dauerstromentnahme, wird der Ausgang zurückgeregelt.
- Die Anschlußpolarität (+ oder – innen) richtet sich nach der Verbindung eines der
beiliegenden acht (8) Stecker mit der Ausgangs(anschluss-)leitung.
- Das Universalsteckernetzgerät ist für den Anschluß an 100 bis 240 Volt Wechsel-
spannung mit 50 Hz oder 60 Hz zugelassen.
- Eine Verwendung in Feuchträumen oder im Außenbereich, bzw. unter widrigen
Umgebungsbedingungen ist nicht zulässig. Widrige Umgebungsbedingungen
sind:
- Nässe oder zu hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit,
- Staub und brennbare Gase, Dämpfe oder Lösungsmittel,
- starke Vibrationen,
Eine andere Verwendung als zuvor beschrieben, führt zur Beschädigung dieses Pro-
duktes, außerdem ist dies mit Gefahren, wie z. B. Kurzschluß, Brand, elektrischer
Schlag etc. verbunden. Das gesamte Produkt darf nicht geändert, bzw. umgebaut
werden! Die Sicherheitshinweise sind unbedingt zu beachten!

Bei Sach- oder Personenschäden, die durch unsachgemäße
Handhabung oder Nichtbeachtung der Sicherheitshinweise bzw.
der Bedienungsanleitung verursacht werden, übernehmen wir
keine Haftung. In solchen Fällen erlischt jeder Garantieanspruch.
• Das Universalsteckernetzgerät hat das Werk in sicherheitstechnisch einwandfrei-
em Zustand verlassen. Um diesen Zustand zu erhalten und einen gefahrlosen
Betrieb sicherzustellen, muß der Anwender die Sicherheitshinweise und Warnver-
merke beachten, die in dieser Gebrauchsanweisung enthalten sind. Das Gerät ist
in Schutzklasse II aufgebaut.
• Es ist darauf zu achten, daß die Isolierung weder beschädigt noch zerstört wird.
• Das Netzgerät darf nicht als direkte Ladeeinrichtung verwendet werden.
• Netzgeräte und Zubehör sind kein Spielzeug und somit von Kindern fernzuhalten!
• In gewerblichen Einrichtungen sind die Unfallverhütungsvorschriften des Verban-
des der gewerblichen Berufsgenossenschaften für elektrische Anlagen und
Betriebsmittel zu beachten.
• In Schulen, Ausbildungseinrichtungen, Hobby- und Selbsthilfewerkstätten ist das
Betreiben von Netzgeräten durch geschultes Personal verantwortlich zu überwa-
chen.
• Betreiben Sie Ihr Netzgerät niemals gleich dann, wenn es von einem kalten in einen
warmen Raum gebracht wird. Das dabei entstehende Kondenswasser kann unter
ungünstigen Umständen Ihr Gerät zerstören. Lassen Sie das Gerät uneingeschal-
tet auf Zimmertemperatur kommen.

• Bei Arbeiten mit Netzgeräten ist das Tragen von metallischem oder leitfähigem
Schmuck wie Ketten, Armbändern, Ringen o.ä. verboten.
• Netzgeräte sind nicht für die Anwendung an Menschen oder Tieren zugelassen.
• Bei der Reihenschaltung der Ausgänge mehrerer Netzgeräte werden lebensge-
fährliche Spannungen (> 35 VDC) erzeugt.
• Lüftungsschlitze von Netzgeräten dürfen nicht abgedeckt werden! Die Kühlung der
Geräte erfolgt überwiegend durch Konvektion.
• Netzgeräte und die angeschlossenen Verbraucher dürfen nicht unbeaufsichtigt
betrieben werden. Es sind Maßnahmen zum Schutz und der Sicherung der ange-
schlossenen Verbraucher gegenüber Wirkungen der Netzgeräte /z.B. Überspan-
nungen Ausfall des Netzgerätes) und der von den Verbrauchern selbst ausgehen-
den Wirkungen und Gefahren (z.B. unzulässig hohe Stromaufnahme) zu treffen.
• Im Fehlerfall können Netzgeräte Spannungen über 50 V Gleichspannung abgeben,
von welchen Gefahren ausgehen, auch dann, wenn die angegebenen Ausgangs-
spannungen der Geräte niedriger liegen.
• Bei Arbeiten unter Spannung darf nur dafür ausdrücklich zugelassenes Werkzeug
verwendet werden.
• Der 2-polige Anschlußstecker am Netzgeräteausgang darf nicht verändert / umge-
baut werden.
• Das Verlegen metallisch blanker Leitungen und Kontakte ist zu vermeiden. Alle
diese Stellen sind durch geeignete, schwer entflammbare Isolierstoffe oder andere
Maßnahmen abzudecken und dadurch vor direkter Berührung zu schützen. Auch
die elektrisch leitenden Teile der angeschlossenen Verbraucher sind durch ent-
sprechende Maßnahmen vor direkter Berührung zu schützen.
• Wenn anzunehmen ist dass ein gefahrloser Betrieb nicht mehr möglich ist, so ist
das Gerät außer Betrieb zu setzen und gegen unbeabsichtigten Betrieb zu sichern.
Es ist anzunehmen, daß ein gefahrloser Betrieb nicht mehr möglich ist, wenn
- das Gerät sichtbare Beschädigungen aufweist,
- das Gerät nicht mehr arbeitet und
- nach längerer Lagerung unter ungünstigen Verhältnissen oder
- nach schweren Transportbeanspruchungen.

Anschluß, Inbetriebnahme
A Netzgeräte-Anschluss und Inbetriebnahme
Verbinden Sie den Netzstecker mit der Netzsteckdose. Das Schaltnetzteil ist nun in
Betrieb, sichtbar an der roten Betriebs-LED, und arbeitet auf "Sparflamme" = gering-
ste Stromaufnahme.
Achtung!
Verdrehen Sie den Stellknopf auf keinen Fall während des Betrie-
bes. Einerseits kann der eventuell angeschlossene Verbraucher
(Radio oder Walkman o.ä.) beschädigt und andererseits das Netz-
gerät durch Abrißfunken an den Schaltkontakten zerstört werden.
Verwenden Sie zur Einstellung kein Werkzeug, sondern nur den
beiliegenden Stellschlüssel. Achten Sie bei der Einstellung immer
darauf, daß der Pfeil exakt auf die entsprechende Spannungsmar-
kierung zeigt.
B Verbraucheranschluß
Achten Sie beim Anschluß eines Verbrauchers darauf, daß dieser uneingeschaltet
mit dem Netzgerät verbunden wird.
Die Ausgangsspannung ist einstellbar von 6 VDC (DC = "Gleichspannung") bis 15
VDC, wodurch die meisten Anwendungen abgedeckt sind. Dabei darf die Stromauf-
nahme des angeschlossenen Verbrauchers im Bereich von 6 VDC bis 12 VDC max.
4200 mA (=4,2A) nicht überschreiten. Im Bereich über 13,5 VDC bis 15 VDC sind dies
max. 3200 mA (= 3,2 A).
An der Anschlußbuchse am Leitungsende befindet sich eine Pfeilmarkierung. Auf
den beiliegenden Kleinspannungssteckern sind diese Pfeilmarkierungen beidseitig
vorhanden. Zu jeder Pfeilmarkierung gehört eine bestimmte Anschlußpolarität. Je
nach Verbindung mit der Anschlußbuchse ergibt sich:
innen "+" + -•)- - außen "-" oder
innen "-" - -•)- + außen "+"
Hinweis!
Bei den Klinkensteckern ist das vordere Ende als "innen" zu betrachten.

Achtung !
- Bei längerem Betrieb mit Nennlast (ca. 68 VA) wird die Gehäuse-
oberfläche sehr warm. Achtung! Verbrennungsgefahr ! Achten
Sie daher unbedingt auf eine ausreichende Belüftung des Netz-
gerätes und betreiben Sie es niemals teilweise oder ganz abge-
deckt, um eventuelle Schäden zu vermeiden.
- Achten Sie beim Anschluß eines Verbrauchers unbedingt darauf,
daß dieser im nicht eingeschalteten Zustand angeschlossen
wird. Ein eingeschalteter Verbraucher kann beim Anschluß an
die Ausgangsklemmen des Netzgerätes zu einer Funkenbildung
an den Anschlußklemmen führen, welche wiederum die
Anschlußbuchsen bzw. die angeschlossenen Leitungen
und/oder deren Klemmen beschädigen können.
- Wenn der Steckernetzadapter nicht benötigt wird, trennen Sie
ihn vom Netz.
C Wartung
Das Netzgerät ist bis auf eine gelegentliche Reinigung der Gehäuseoberfläche abso-
lut wartungsfrei. Prüfen Sie jedoch von Zeit zu Zeit den Netzstecker auf die Unver-
sehrtheit der Isolierung.
Bei Öffnung des Gerätes bzw. eigenständigen Änderungen der Schaltung im Innern
des Gerätes erlischt der Garantieanspruch. Zur Reinigung nehmen Sie ein sauberes,
fusselfreies, antistatisches und trockenes Reinigungstuch.
Achtung!
Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung keine carbonhaltigen Reinigungs-
mittel oder Benzine, Alkohole oder ähnliches. Dadurch wird die
Oberfläche des Meßgerätes angegriffen. Außerdem sind die
Dämpfe gesundheitsschädlich und explosiv. Verwenden Sie zur
Reinigung auch keine scharfkantigen Werkzeuge, Schraubendre-
her oder Metallbürsten o.ä.

Entsorgen Sie das unbrauchbar gewordene (irreparable) Schaltnetzteil gemäß den
geltenden gesetzlichen Vorschriften.

Prescribed use:
- Suited for connection to and operation of low-voltage loads having an operating
voltage of 6 or 7.5 or 9 or 12 or 13.5 or 15 V D.C. The power input of a device con-
nected may not exceed 4.2 A if up to 12 V D.C. are used and 3.2 A if from 13.5 to
15 V D.C are used. Any increase beyond these values will cause overloads
Exceeding this leads to excess strain of the power pack. In case of a short circuit
or if the appliance consumes power over a longer period of time, the output is
reduced.
- The polarity to be connected (+ or -, inside) will depend on the way one of the eight
(8) plugs included is connected to the output (connection) line.
- The universal plug-in power supply unit is allowed for connection to an alternating
voltage of 100 to 240 volts at 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
- This product is not authorised for use in damp rooms or outdoors or under adverse
ambient conditions. Adverse ambient conditions are:
- Moisture or excessively high humidity of air
- Dust and inflammable gases, vapours or solvents
- Heavy vibrations.
Any use other than the one described above damages the product. Moreover, this
involves dangers, such as e.g. short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the
product may be modified or rebuilt. Always observe the safety instructions and tech-
nical specifications.

In case of any damage caused to property or personal injury due
to inexpert handling or failure to observe the safety instructions or
operating instructions we do not assume liability for resulting
damage. The guarantee will expire in such cases.
• The universal plug-in power supply unit left our works in a proper technical safety
condition. We kindly request the user to follow the safety instructions and warning
indications contained in the present instructions for use to preserve this condition
and to ensure safe operation. The structure of the device complies with safety
class II.
• Take care not to damage or destroy its insulation.
• Never use the power supply unit as a charging device proper.
• Power supply units and their accessories are no toys and, therefore, should always
be kept out of the reach of children.
• In commercial and industrial facilities, the regulations for the prevention of acci-
dents as laid down by the professional trade association for electrical equipment
and devices need to be observed.
• Measuring devices used at schools, training facilities, do-it-yourself and hobby
workshops should not be handled unless supervised by trained, responsible per-
sonnel.
• Never turn on the device immediately after it has been brought from a cold into a
warm room. Condensation water that forms might destroy your device. Leave the
device switched off and wait until it has reached room temperature.
• When using power supply units you are not allowed to wear metallic or conductive
pieces of jewelry, e.g. chains, bracelets, rings or the like.

• Power supply units are not allowed for use on human beings or animals.
• Hazardous voltages will be produced when the outputs of several power supply
units are connected in series (> 35 V D.C.).
• Do not cover the ventilation slots of power supply units. Such devices are cooled
by convection in most cases.
• Do not operate unattended power supply units and loads connected to them. Take
measures apt to protect and secure the loads connected from the effects pro-
duced by the power supply units (e.g. excess voltages, failure of the power supply
unit) and the effects and hazards originating from the loads themselves (e.g. inad-
missibly high power input).
• Power supply units may produce voltages exceeding 50 V D.C. in a malfunction
case. Such voltages cause hazards, even if the specified output voltages of the
devices are lower.
• When working under a voltage only use tools which are explicitly allowed for the
purpose.
• The two-pole plug at the output of power supply units may not be modified or
rebuilt.
• Avoid installing bare metallic cables and contacts. Cover all bare points by suit-
able, difficultly inflammable insulating materials or take other measures, thus pro-
tecting such points from being directly contacted. Likewise, take measures apt to
protect the electrically conducting elements of the loads connected from being
directly contacted.
• If there is reason to believe that safe operation has become impossible put the
power supply unit out of operation and secure it against any unintended operation.
Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible, if
- the unit exhibits visible damage
- the unit does not operate any longer
- the unit was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- the unit was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.

Connection and putting into service
A How to connect and put into service power supply units
Connect the mains plug to the mains socket. The switched-mode power supply unit
will now be in operation, which can be seen on the red LED which operates, and runs
"in the economy mode" = lowest power input.
Attention:
Never turn the setting knob during operation. This can damage
any load that is connected (a radio or walkman or the like), on one
hand, and destroy the power supply unit by contact-breaking
sparks on the switching contacts, on the other. Do not use unsuit-
able tools to make settings. Only use the adjusting tool which is
included. When making settings always be sure the arrow points
accurately to the respective voltage marking.
B How to connect loads
When connecting a load make sure it is switched off before joining it to the power
supply unit.
The output voltage is adjustable from 6 V D.C. (D.C. = "direct current voltage") to 15
V D.C., which covers most applications. Note that the power input of the load con-
nected may not exceed a maximum of 4,200 mA (= 4.2 A) in the range from 6 V D.C.
to 12 V D.C. The maximum input is 3,200 mA (= 3.2 A) in the range exceeding 13.5 V
D.C. to 15 V D.C.
There is an arrow marking on the connection jack at the end of the cable. These
arrow markings are on either side of the low-voltage plugs which are included. A cer-
tain connection polarity belongs to each arrow marking. The result is as follows,
depending on the connection to the jack:
inside "+" + -•)- - outside "-" or
inside "-" - -•)- + outside "+"
Note:
The front end is considered to be "inside" for jack connectors.

Attention !
- The surface of the casing will heat up intensely during prolon-
ged operation at a rated load (abt. 68 VA). Attention: Danger of
burns ! Therefore, take great care to sufficiently ventilate the
power supply unit. Never operate it when partially or fully cover-
ed. This will help avoid any damage.
- When connecting a load always take care not to connect it as
long as it is switched on. A load in an ON condition, when being
connected to the output terminals of the power supply unit, can
cause sparks to form on the supply terminals. This, in turn, can
damage the supply jacks or the cables connected and/or their
terminals.
- If you do not need the plug-in mains adapter disconnect it from

C How to do maintenance
The power supply unit does not require any maintenance except that the surface of
its casing needs cleaning occasionally. However, check the mains plug for the
integrity of its insulation at certain intervals.
Do not open the device or make unauthorized modifications to the circuits inside the
device because this will invalidate the guarantee claim. Use a clean, non-fluffy, anti-
static, and dry cloth to clear the device of impurities.
Attention:
Do not use carbon-containing cleaning agents, petrol, alcohols or
similar agents. This can attack the surface of the device. Further-
more, the fumes are a health hazard and explosive. Moreover, you
should not use sharp-edged tools, screw-drivers or metal brushes
or similar objects for cleaning.

Restrictions d’utilisation :
- Branchement et mise en service de petits appareils fonctionnant sur 6 ou 7,5 ou 9
ou 12 ou 13,5 ou 15 VDC. La consommation en courant de l’appareil connecté ne
doit pas dépasser 12 VDC 4,2 A et de 13,5 à 15 VDC 3,2 A. Un dépassement pro-
voque une surcharge, Le dépassement de celle-ci conduit à une surcharge du
bloc secteur ; dans le cas d´une surcharge, par exemple par un court-circuit ou
une consommation de courant prolongée, la sortie est réglée à nouveau.
- La polarité de connexion (+ ou – int.) se règle d’après la connexion d’une des huit
(8) fiches livrées avec sur la sortie du câble (de raccordement).
- L’alimentation universelle n’est prévue que pour être branchée sur le réseau 100 à
240 Volts de courant alternatif de 50 Hz ou 60 Hz.
- Une utilisation dans des pièces d’eau ou en extérieur ou dans des conditions
contraires n’est pas autorisée. Des conditions contraires sont :
- que l’appareil fonctionne mouillé ou dans une humidité de l’air très élevée,
- de la poussière ou des gaz, vapeurs ou solutions inflammables,
- de fortes vibrations,
Toute utilisation autre que celle stipulée ci-dessus provoque l'endommagement de
ce produit, ainsi que des risques de courts-circuits, d'incendie, d’électrocution, etc.
Il n’est permis ni de modifier le produit, ni de le transformer ! Il faut absolument tenir

• L’alimentation universelle a quitté l’usine de fabrication dans un état irréprochable
du point de vue de la sécurité technique. Pour conserver cet état et assurer un
fonctionnement sans danger, l’utilisateur doit respecter les consignes de sécurité
et les avertissements contenus dans cette notice d'emploi. L’appareil a été
construit conformément à la classe de protection II.
• Prenez soin à ce que l’isolation ne soit ni endommagée ni détruite.
• L’alimentation ne peut pas être utilisée comme chargeur direct.
• Les alimentations et accessoires ne sont pas des jouets et doivent être tenus hors
de la portée des enfants!
• Dans les locaux professionnels, il faut respecter les règlements pour la prévention
des accidents émis par les associations professionnelles exerçant dans le domai-
ne des installations électriques et de l'outillage industriel.
• Dans les écoles, les centres de formation professionnelle, les ateliers pour handi-
capés ou dans les ateliers d'amateurs, l'utilisation d’une alimentation doit être res-
ponsabilisée par du personnel qualifié.
• N’allumez jamais l’alimentation tout de suite quand elle vient d’être miss d’une piè-
ce froide dans une pièce chaude. L'eau de condensation qui en résulte pourrait
dans des conditions défavorables détruire l'appareil. Laissez donc l'appareil éteint
prendre la température ambiante avant de le mettre en service.

• Lors du maniement d’alimentations, il n’est pas autorisé de porter des bijoux du
genre chaînettes, bracelets ou bagues en métal ou autre matériau conducteur.
• Une alimentation n’est pas faite pour être utilisée ni sur une personne ni sur un
animal.
• Lors du branchement en série des sorties de plusieurs alimentations, des tensions
dangereuses au toucher (> 35 VDC) sont générées.
• Ne pas couvrir les fentes d’aération d’une alimentation ! Le refroidissement des
appareils se fait principalement par convection.
• Ne pas laisser les alimentations et les récepteurs qui y sont branchés fonctionner
sans surveillance. Prenez des mesures de sécurité et de protection des appareils
branchés contre les effets que pourrait engendrer l’alimentation (par ex. surchar-
ge, panne) et contre les effets engendrés par un défaut de l’appareil branché (par
ex. consommation de courant excessive).
• En cas de défaut, il se pourrait que l’alimentation engendre une tension continue
de 50V qui s’avèrerait dangereuse, et cela même si la tension de sortie indiquée
était normalement moins élevée.
• Les travaux sous tension ne doivent être effectués qu’avec des outils appropriés
et homologués.
• Il est interdit de modifier/transformer la fiche de branchement 2 pôles à la sortie de
l’alimentation.
• Evitez impérativement la pose de fils et contacts métalliques dénudés. Couvrez de
telles installations avec des matériaux appropriés, isolants, difficilement inflam-
mables ou prenez d’autres mesures de protection afin d’empêcher un contact
direct. Les parties électriquement conductrices des récepteurs connectés doivent
également être protégées contre un contact direct par des mesures appropriées.
• S'il est probable qu'une utilisation sans danger n'est plus possible, l'appareil doit
être mis hors service et protégé contre toute utilisation involontaire.
Une utilisation sans danger n’est plus possible si
- l’appareil présente des dommages visibles,
- l’appareil ne fonctionne plus et
- après un long stockage dans des conditions défavorables ou
- après des conditions de transport défavorables.

Branchement, mise en service
A Connexion de l’alimentation et mise en service
Connectez la fiche d’alimentation à la prise secteur. L’alimentation est maintenant en
service. Ceci est visible par la LED de fonctionnement allumée en rouge. L’appareil
fonctionne en "veilleuse" = faible consommation de courant.
Attention !
Ne tournez en aucun cas le bouton de réglage pendant le fonc-
tionnement.
D’un côté, vous pourriez endommager l’appareil branché (radio,
baladeur ou autre) et d’un autre côté, vous pourriez détruire les
contacts de commande par des étincelles de rupture.
Pour le réglage, n’utilisez pas d’outils mais uniquement la clé de
réglage jointe. Veillez lors du réglage à ce que la flèche indique
exactement le marquage de tension correspondant.
B Connexion d’un récepteur
Veillez lors de la connexion d’un récepteur à l’alimentation à ce que celui-ci soit
éteint.
La tension de sortie est réglable de 6 VDC (DC = "courant continu") à 15 VDC, ce qui
permet différentes utilisations. La consommation en courant du récepteur connecté
ne doit pas dépasser 6 VDC à 12 VDC max. 4200 mA (=4,2A). Ce qui représente,
dans une plage de 13,5 VDC à 15 VDC max. 3200 mA (= 3,2 A).
Un marquage fléché se trouve sur la borne de connexion à l’extrémité du câble de
raccordement. Ces marquages fléchés sont des deux côtés sur les fiches basse ten-
sion livrées avec. Chaque marquage fléché correspond à une polarité. Suivant la
connexion avec la borne de connexion, il s’ensuit le schéma suivant:
intérieur "+" + -•)- - extérieur "-" ou
intérieur "-" - -•)- - extérieur "+"
Remarque !
L’extrémité avant des fiches jack est considérée "intérieure".

Attention !
- Pendant une utilisation de longue durée avec une charge nomi-
nale (env. 68 VA), la surface du boîtier s’échauffe beaucoup.
Attention ! Danger de brûlures! Prenez soin à ce que l’alimenta-
tion soit suffisamment aérée et ne la faites jamais fonctionner
partiellement ou complètement couvert pour éviter d’éventuels
endommagements.
- Faites attention à ce que le récepteur que vous branchez à l’ali-
mentation soit vraiment éteint. Un récepteur allumé peut provo-
quer des étincelles aux bornes de branchement, ce qui pourrait
conduire à un endommagement ou même à la destruction des
fils de branchement et/ou des bornes.
- Quand l’adaptateur secteur n’est pas utilisé, débranchez-le du
secteur.
C Entretien
A part le nettoyage occasionnel de la surface du boîtier, l’alimentation ne nécessite
pratiquement aucun entretien. Contrôlez de temps en temps le bon état des isola-
tions.
Toute ouverture de l’appareil ou transformation du câblage à l’intérieur de l’appareil
faite par soi-même ont pour conséquence l’annulation de la garantie. Pour le net-
toyage, prenez un chiffon propre, sec, non pelucheux et antistatique.
Attention !
N’utilisez jamais de produits contenant du carbone, ni d’essence,
d’alcool ou similaires. Vous pourriez détériorer la surface de l’ap-
pareil. En outre, les vapeurs de ces produits sont mauvaises pour
la santé et explosives. N'utilisez pas non plus d'outils à arêtes
tranchantes, de tournevis ou de brosses métalliques ou similaires.
