WARNING
The VonHaus Stick Vacuum is intended for domestic
use only. It is not intended for use in commercial or
industrial environments and is not suitable for use
outdoors or on wet surfaces.
Use only as described in this manual.
Use only Designer Habitat recommended
attachments.
Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is
necessary when used near children.
Do not use with damaged cable or plug. If the
supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a
qualified engineer or Designer Habitat authorised
service agent in order to avoid a hazard.
If the appliance is not functioning properly, has been
dropped, damaged, left outdoors or immersed
in liquid, do not use, contact Designer Habitat
Customer Services.
Do not use the appliance if any parts appear to be
faulty, missing or damaged.
Ensure all parts are securely attached before using
the appliance.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
Do not leave the appliance unattended when
plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use, and
before performing user maintenance, connecting or
disconnecting attachments or changing accessories.
Check to ensure your electricity supply matches that
shown on the rating plate. The appliance must only
be used as rated. Preferably the socket outlet should
be protected by a Residual Current Device (RCD).
Do not handle the plug or the appliance with wet
hands.
Do not unplug by pulling on cable. To unplug,
grasp the plug, not the cable.
Do not pull cable around sharp edges or corners.
Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
Do not run the vacuum cleaner over the cord
The use of an extension cable is not
recommended.
Do not use the appliance to pick up liquid spills,
flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline.
Do not use the appliance in areas where
flammable or combustible liquids may be present.
Do not use the appliance to pick up anything that
is burning or smoking such as cigarettes, matches
or hot ashes.
Never use the appliance without ALL filters in
place.
Do not put any objects into openings or cover the
appliance.
Take extra care when operating on stairs.
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of
the body away from openings and moving parts.
Do not carry out any maintenance or repair work
other than that shown in this manual, or as advised
by the Designer Habitat Customer Care Helpline.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
undertaken by children.
When using this appliance for the first time, a smell
or vapour may be given off. This will dissipate after
a few uses.
Store appliance indoors, in a cool, dry place.
Failure to follow these instructions will invalidate
any guarantee.

OPERATION
Assemble as required.
BEFORE USE
Roll out a sufficient length of power cord and plug into a mains socket.
Remove any objects from the floor that could potentially be sucked up by the vacuum and
cause internal damage.

Switch the appliance ON using the ON/OFF Switch located on the Handheld Vacuum unit.
Plug the 800W appliance in to a 110 volt AC electric outlet.

MAINTENANCE & CLEANING
Caution: Before carrying out maintenance, turn off the appliance and disconnect power plug.
We recommend the Dust Container is emptied after every use in order to maintain
optimum performance.
Switch OFF the vacuum cleaner with the ON/OFF Switch and disconnect the plug from the
mains.
DUST CONTAINER
Replace the Dust Container.
Release the Dust Container by pressing the Release Button.
Ensure you are holding the Dust Container when you press the Release Button as it will detach from the main unit.
Empty the waste in the Dust Container into a waste basket, tap to remove all contents.
Release the Dust Container by pressing the Release Button.
FILTRATION SYSTEM
Remove the HEPA Filter by pulling the rubber tab labelled “PULL”
Unfasten the velcro strip to remove the Protective Mesh Filter wrapped around the HEPA Filter.
Switch OFF the vacuum cleaner with the ON/OFF Switch and disconnect the plug from the
mains.
Rinse both parts under cold, running water and allow to dry completely.
Wrap the Protective Mesh Filter around the HEPA Filter and use the velcro strip to secure.
Insert the Filters back in to the Dust Container.
Replace the Dust Container.

Please recycle where facilities exist. Check with your local authority for recycling advice.
Warranty
This new VonHaus product has a warranty period of 12 months beginning at the date of
purchase. Please retain a proof of purchase receipt or statement as proof of the purchase date.
The warranty only applies if the product is solely used in the manner indicated in the warnings
page of this manual, and all other instructions have been followed accurately. Any abuse of the
product or the manner which it is used will invalidate the warranty.
Returned goods will not be accepted unless re-packaged in its original colour box, and
accompanied by a relevant and completed returns form. This does not affect your statutory
rights.
