1.1 Hazards and safety instructions
Safety is the fundamental feature of our products, please ensure you
understand the following safety notices before you start to explore or
use the product.
1 For Your Safety
Risk of electric shock
if water enters the
device!
If water gets into the electrical components, you could get an
electric shock.
When the device is not in use or the device is under
maintainence, please unplug the device.
Do not immerse the device or any part of it in liquid.
Do not use the device on wet surfaces.
Use the device only for its intended use - domestic indoor use only.

Use only vacuum bags that are approved for food.

Risk of suocation! The bag / roll clipper and the nozzles are small ingestible parts. It can
be ingested by children and lead to suocation.
Keep the bag / roll clipper, the nozzles, the appliance, the foil bags
and rolls and it´s packaging material away from children.

Risk of lacerations! The bag / roll clipper contains a sharp knife. You can injure yourself.
Handle the bag / roll clipper with care.

Risk of damage from

Improper use can cause damage to the device.
Wait 60 seconds in between consecutive sealing operations.
Do not suck in fluids or dust (i.e. flour).

Damaged bottles and food-containers can implode and you can
get injured.
Before vacuuming any kind of bottle or foodcontainer, make sure
that it is free of any cracks or other kind of damage.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and

capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.

External Vacuum
To vacuum wine bottles, to marinate foods via accessories
Moist Level Selector
The default mode is “Dry”, when it is lit, it is suitable to vacuum seal
dry contents. If “moist” is selected, it is suitable to vacuum seal moist
contents.
Moist contents refers to those damp items, like raw steak, fish fillet.
When vacuum those items, the moisture is inevitable. The moist level
selector can ensure the sealing quality in accordance.
If you need to vacuum seal contents with high level of juice, please watch
the process carefully, once the liquid level reaches the sealing area, press
“Seal” button immediately to prevent excessive suction to the liquid.
Vacuum Power Selector
The default setting is “Normal” which is suitable for general items.If
you need to vacuum seal fragile items, please select “Gentle”
mode.In case the item is extremely fragile, please watch the process
carefully, once the air in the bag is almost vacuumed, press “Seal”
button immediately to prevent excessive negative pressure causing
damage to the contents.

VS100 Vacuumsealer is a kitchen appliance intended for use at home
or in similar environments.
These appliances may be used by children aged 8 years and above
and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or
lack of experience and knowledge, when they have been supervised
or instructed in the safe use of the appliance and have understood
the resulting risks.
Children are not allowed to play with the device.
The appliance and its connecting cable must be kept away from
children under 8 years of age.
Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children
without supervision, unless they are 8 years or older and are
supervised.
The appliance meets the safety regulations of the country in which it
was sold by an authorised Vorwerk organisation. If the appliance is
used in a country other than the country of sale, compliance with
local safety standards of the other country cannot be guaranteed.
Therefore no responsibility for any resulting safety risks for the user
can be accepted.
5 Intended Use

6 Tips Before Use
1. Do not overfill the bag. Always leave at least 80mm of bag material
between contents and top of bag.
2. Clean the open end of the bag inside out, ensure no grease, no
residue, no wrinkle.
3. When vacuum sealing thick items, to prevent wrinkles, please
gently stretch bag flat before placing it into the vacuum chamber.
4. Make sure the bag is dry. Excessive moist could compromise the
sealing quality.
5. For the maximum freshness, perishables are recommended to be
frozen or refrigerated aer vacuum sealing process.
6. When you are vacuum sealing items with sharp edges (such as
crab, lobster, silverware, etc.), protect the bags from punctures by
wrapping them with cushioning material, such as tissue paper.
7. Pre-freeze fruits, vegetables before vacuum sealing for the best
results.
8. When finished using the machine, press the OPEN / CLOSE button
to open the unit, then unplug and store it properly.

7 Vacuum Sealing Operation
1. Connect mains power.
2. Press the “Open / Close” button to open the device.
3. Put the contents into a vacuum sealing bag or pre-sealed vacuum
sealing roll. Then slot the openning into the device properly.
If you open the upper cover widely, you can observe that the best
insertion length is about 3cm, so that the bag is fully inside the
vacuum chamber.
4. Select the moist level and vacuum power according to the
contents. Press “Vacuum Seal”button to start vacuum sealing. When
the process is done, all indicators go o and the device will open
automatically.
Don’t pull the bag before the device opens automatically.

5. Please allow 1 minute between two vacuum sealing processes. If
the device is currently too hot to continue, the “Dry” “Moist”
“Normal” “Gentle”indicators will flash. Please wait till the device
cools down before further operations.
Please ensure the bag / roll you are using is enhanced by “Matrixduct
Airflow”technology. We recommend to use Vorwerk genuine vacuum
sealing bags / rolls.
There are many bags that are not suitable for vacuuming and
sealing, i.e. regular plastic bags, ziploc bags, fabric bags or paper
bags. They cannot be sealed properly.

TIPS
Choice of Suitable Bags
Use the vacuum power selector to choose between “Normal ” and “Gentle”
before start the vacuuming.
When the contents are juicy, please choose the moist level first. The device
will increase sealing duration if you choose “Moist”. This is to ensure
adequate heat and duration to secure the sealing.

8 Sealing Operation
1. Connect mains power.
2. Press the “Open / Close” button to open the device.
3. Put the contents into a vacuum sealing bag or pre-sealed vacuum
sealing roll. Then slot the openning into the device properly.
Remark: If you open the upper cover widely, you can observe that
the best insertion length is about 3cm, so that the bag is fully in
contact with the thermo sealing strip. The cover will not remain
open by snapping in or simmilar. Please close it carefully before
inserting a bag or roll for vacuuming or sealing.
4. Press “Seal” to start sealing, the “Seal” button is lit till the sealing
process is done, then the device will open automatically.

TIPS
Seal without vacuuming is suitable to pack liquidized items. Seal function is
also useful while you intervene the vacuum sealing process to stop vacuuming
and start sealing manually.

1. Connect mains power.
2. Connect the external vacuum tube with the device, then plug on a
selected nozzle.
When vacuum a wine bottle, please plug the cork on the bottle first,
then vacuum with the pin nozzle or flat nozzle.
Before vacuuming any kind of bottle or foodccontainer, make sure
that it is free of any cracks or other kind of damage. Do not vacuum
damaged bottles or food-containers.
If you need to vacuum a meal box, choose the suitable nozzle
according to the vacuum plug type on the meal box.
(The bottle cork and airtight container are not included in the basic
set, and should be purchased by the user separately.)
9 External Vacuuming /
Marinate Operation
TIPS
The meal box intended to be vacuumed must be air-tight, and the box must
be equipped with an air-valve.

3. Press the “Marinate / Bottle Vac” to start external vacuum, the
device will stop once the vacuuming finishes. Be sure to check if
there is any air leakage, otherwise the device will not stop
vacuuming automatically.
4. Pull out the nozzle once the external vacuuming finishes.
5. If you need to marinate the food in an external air-tight food
container, long press the “Marinate / Bottle Vac” button for more
than 3 seconds, the device will start the marinate mode to repeat
vacuum and release cycles for 20 minutes.

10 Bag / Roll Clipper Operation
1. Connect mains power.
2. Insert the vacuum sealing roll into the device no less than 3cm, to
ensure full contact with thermo sealing strip.
3. Use the roll clipper to cut the roll to your desired length.
The most suitable bag size for Thermomix sous-vide is 200mm x
300mm.
