WÜDOMO DIMMABLE
LIGHT MODULE
Art. 0978 950 006
Quick installation guide

INTRODUCTION
Compact slave module with DIN rail installation that lets you dim the lights in your home, as well manage their
switching on/o.
Digital inputs
The module has 6 digital inputs that allow the acquisition and transmission, via BUS, of digital ON/OFF signals
(dry contacts, buttons, switches).
Analogue outputs
The module has 4 analogue outputs with voltages ranging from 0-10V, which can be used to command control
devices such as dimmers for lamps.

• Installation and maintenance must be performed only by qualied personnel.
• Disconnect the power supply before any maintenance operation and before accessing
the internal parts of the unit.
• Check the consumption of the loads driven by the outputs.
• Keep power cables separate from secondary circuits with safety extra low voltage (SELV).
• Warning: it may be necessary to supply the outputs with supporting
resistors to be able to lock the minimum value to 0V. Values to choose
according to the dimmer used.
TECHNICAL NOTES
CONNECTIONS
BUS
Use four-core signal cable (2x0.75 + 2x0.22) to connect the module to the RS485 serial port of the master
device (Wüdomo programmable thermostat). This cable must comply with CPR regulations while the minimum
recommended class is CcA-S3, Do, A3. To identify the current class of cables for dierent places of use, please
refer to the classication given in the CPR regulation. In the event of voltage drops along the 12V line of the
BUS it is necessary to insert an additional power supply unit.
INPUTS/OUTPUTS
To connect inputs, it is sucient to use a cable with a cross section of 0.5 mm2, while for the outputs a cable
suitable for the load must be used.
In the event of sections longer than 5m or in environments disturbed by electromagnetic elds, use a shielded
cable to connect the inputs. In this case, connect the shield to the GND terminal on the module side.
Do not exceed distances of 25 m between the dry control contact and the module input.

IN-OUT TERMINAL DETAILS
The green 8-pole terminal is reserved for connecting
the inputs.
The black terminal is dedicated to the BUS
connection.
Next to this connector there is the selector for
automatic/manual operation.
The PI button is located under the front glass, while
the LED indicators are next to it.
The 4 outputs are present on the bottom.

CONFIGURATION
The module can be congured for manual/automatic operation by lifting the front glass of the module
(see gure below).
AUTOMATIC: In this mode, control takes place exclusively via an advanced home automation system and not
via a smart wi programmable thermostat; in this mode the module must be addressed by means of the PI button,
accessible on the front side of the module by lifting the front glass; as regards the addressing procedure, refer to
the installer manual of the home automation programming software.
MANUAL: Mode to select when you want to manage the module via smart wi programmable thermostat.
In this mode the module contains the function to manage the outputs in dimmer mode, with the following
pre-programmed actions:
OUT1 controlled from impulse IN1.
OUT2 controlled from impulse IN2.
OUT3 controlled from impulse IN3.
OUT4 controlled from impulse IN4.
ON all BUS scenario from impulse IN5.
OFF all BUS scenario from impulse IN6.
The scenario controls can alternatively be activated directly from the Wüdomo App. In this mode the
module can work autonomously, requiring only the connection of the power supply voltage; if you wish to
connect several modules, in order to use the scenario functions, simply interconnect the various modules with the
BUS cable, and therefore with the signals 12V, GND, A and B.

LED INDICATOR
To reduce consumption during normal operation, the LEDs are o. In case of anomalies or pressing the PI,
the indicators are activated for 5 minutes. In the front part a multicolour LED (SL) is installed to indicate the
various status listed below.
NORMAL OPERATION
During normal operation the device
ashes GREEN for 1/4s every 10s.
BOOT PHASE START UP
A single 1/2s ash indicates the presence of
correct rmware.
BOOT PHASE START UP
A fast 1/4s red ash indicates the presence of
incorrect rmware.
BOOT PHASE START UP
Red and blue alternating ashing for 2s
indicates no rmware present.
INTERNAL MEMORY ERROR
A blue/red ash of 1/2s indicates an error in
the internal memory of the device.
