Thank you for purchasing the 10.5 Liter Thermo-Electric Fridge/Warmer by
Wagan Tech. With normal care and proper treatment it will provide years
of reliable use. Please read all operating instructions carefully before use.
INTRODUCTION:
The 10.5 Liter Thermo-Electric Personal Fridge/Warmer is the next step in
temperature control. Already enjoying widespread use in Europe and Asia,
the Personal Fridge/Warmer utilizes a simple, yet highly effective, thermal
plate technology to transfer heat to and away from the unit. The end result
is that drinks are kept refreshingly cool in the hot summer, while hot foods
are kept warm even in the cold winter. Such technology allows the unit to
operate without the harmful CFC’s that are often used in other refrigerants,
and which can damage the ozone. As a result, the Personal Fridge/Warmer
is an ecologically friendly solution that never needs recharging or is in
danger of toxic leaks and spills.
FEATURES:
* No more needless ice purchases
* No more soggy sandwiches
* Cooling power = 10 pound block of ice
* Superior foam insulation
* Energy efficient
* Excellent performance at a high ambient temperature
* Low maintenance
* Environmentally safe
* No CFC’s (Chloro-Fluoro Carbons)
* No dangerous gases
* Easy to read green and red lights to tell
whether the unit is in “cooling” or “heating” mode
HOW THIS UNIT WORKS:
The Personal Fridge/Warmer uses 12 Volt Direct Current power source. This
system allows for easy power access from almost any Automotive or Marine
vehicle. The Personal Fridge/Warmer is also equipped with an adapter that
operates via the vehicle’s cigarette lighter. Simply plug the male adapter into the
12 Volt socket, and the female end of the cord into the two-prong socket on the
Fridge/ Warmer.
1. Check to make sure the cooler /warmer selector switch is in the middle
OFF position.
2. Plug the cigarette lighter plug into the cigarette lighter socket in your
vehicle or other 12 volt DC power supply (minimum 5 Amps).
3. Move the switch into the position of the desired function, COOLER or
WARMER.
4. The LED indicator light, green for cooler, red for warmer will illuminate
to show the unit is working.
5. Place items inside the storage compartment and close the lid.

You should allow 15 minutes for the unit to return to ambient temperature
when changing unit from hot to cold or vice versa.
The Personal Fridge/Warmer utilizes low battery power and can operate up
to three hours on a normal car battery. For any extended time beyond that,
it is suggested that the unit be used with a running engine, or else the
battery levels may be become too low to start the engine.

If the unit seems to be not working properly:
First check to see if the adapter is firmly secured within the lighter socket
before proceeding. Also, see if the two-prong socket is firmly attached to
the cooling unit. If both adapters are securely plugged in, make sure that
the battery source has enough power to charge the unit. Try plugging the
unit into another power source, and checking to see if the unit can work
with this new power source.
Some parts of the 12Volt adaptor may come loose after prolonged use, and
may dislodge them. If this is the case, simply retighten the adapter top by
screwing in crisscrossed top until tight.
SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE:
To maintain optimum working efficiency, periodically clean the unit with a
damp, cotton cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning agents as they can damage the
unit’s electrical wiring.
- Please keep the unit out of temperature extremes, as excessive heat or cold
can cause the exterior shell to become hard and brittle and will increase the
likelihood of fractures.
- Due to the electrical nature of the unit please be careful while handling
liquids around the exterior of the unit.
- Do not operate unit for long extended periods of time as it may drain the
battery source.
- Do not use ice in your thermo electric. Never fill your unit with liquid
which is not in containers. Liquid can corrode the fan and motor parts,
impairing performance.
- Air intake and fan areas should never be blocked. Never operate your unit
in a car trunk or enclosed area.
- Always unplug your unit before cleaning.
- Avoid all contact with enclosed or metal parts while your unit is in use. Electrical
shock or burn may result.
- Keep your Personal Fridge/Warmer in a clean environment with good airflow.
Pet hair, dust and dirt may impair your unit’s operation and void its warranty.
