WARNING:

WIRING SAFETY FOR UK USE ONLY
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the mains lead of this appliance
may not correspond with the coloured markings
identifying the terminals in your plug, please
proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are labelled in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Green/Yellow [EARTH]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable). The
wire labelled blue is the neutral and must be
connected to the terminal marked [N].
The wire labelled brown is the live wire and must
be connected to the terminal marked [L].
The wire labelled green/yellow must be
connected to the terminal marked with the letter
[E].
On no account must either the brown or the blue
wire be connected to the [EARTH] terminal.
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be tted with a fuse of the same
rating already tted and conforming to BS 1362
and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-
rewireable plug tted to the mains lead and
should the fuse need replacing, you must use an
ASTA approved one (conforming to BS 1362 of
the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug - disconnect it
from the mains - then cut it o of the mains lead
and immediately dispose of it in a safe manner.
Never attempt to reuse the plug or insert it into a
socket outlet as there is a danger of an electric
shock.

• When not being used, please
unplug the heater from the
mains socket.
• Keep the mains lead away
from the hot body of the
heater and ensure that it is
not pulled tight between the
socket and the heater.

and allow it to cool before
moving it from one location
to another.

failure to do so may cause

dismantle or repair any part

BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE:
1. Remove your appliance from the packaging.
2. Install your appliance in accordance with the installation & safety instructions.
3. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.

HANDLING
Before continuing any further with the
installation of this re please read the following:
• One person should be sucient to lift the
re.
• When lifting always keep your back
straight. Bend your legs and not your
back.
• Avoid twisting at the waist. It is better to
reposition your feet.
• Avoid upper body / top heavy bending.
Always bend from the knees rather
than the waist. Do not lean forward or
sideways whilst handling the re.
• Always grip with the palm of your hand.
Do not use the tips of ngers for support.
• Always keep the product as close to the
body as possible to prevent unnecessary
and undue strain on the body.
• Use gloves to provide additional grip.
• Always use assistance if required.
UNPACKING THE PRODUCT
The unit is supplied in a single package
carton. Carefully unpack the product using the
following procedure:
• Ensure that the product is in the correct
position with the carton wording legible.
• Remove the straps and sleeve.
• Carefully lift the replace out of the box.
• Remove the protective packaging and
bag from the suite.
• Locate the xing pack and put aside.
• Carefully remove the protective lm
covering the re.
IMPORTANT:
This surround is only suitable
for use with electric res.
Please ensure both the wall and oor are
at before installation, and that an area of at
least 77cm x 25cm is available for installation.
Always ensure there is enough room to place
the re suite before attempting to install it.
Please ensure that there is an accessible
electrical socket within the space for
installation. The electrical socket must not be
behind or above the suite.
WARNING!
Ensure the supply cord is
correctly located within the notches and will
not be trapped when the surround is tted to
the wall.
1. Route the supply cord through the notch
at the back of the suite.
2. Route the supply cord through the side
of the suite. There will be a notch located
at each side of the suite. Use the notch
nearest to the electrical socket.
SECURING THE SUITE TO THE WALL
(SEE DIAGRAM ON PAGE 10)
1. Attach a mirror clip to the back of each
edge as shown using the 4 x short
screws. Using a 2mm diameter drill bit, re-
drill the holes to stop the MDF splitting.
2. Place the suite to the wall, and mark the
positions of the remaining holes on both
mirror clips.
3. For solid walls, drill 2 holes, each
approximately 35mm deep. Use a 6mm
diameter drill bit. Note: if tting the re
to plaster board with a cavity behind it,
proprietary wall xings (not supplied) will
be required.
4. Insert the wall plugs, then secure the suite
with 2 x long screws (supplied).

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
1. Use the “I/O” switch located on the side
of the stove unit to turn the unit and ame
eect on and o. Flick this switch to the
On position (represented by the symbol
‘I’) to turn the ame eect on, or to the O
position (represented by the symbol ‘O’)
to turn the ame eect o.
2. Use the switches marked ‘I’ and ‘II’ to
select and set the heating level. Turn the
‘I’ switch to the On position to select the
Low heat setting (900W) or turn the ‘II’
switch to the On position to select the
High heat setting (1800W). Flick either of
these switches back to the O position to
turn the heating o.
3. Once the desired heating level has been
selected, turn the thermostat dial to the
maximum temperature to activate the
heating function.
4. The re will now operate continuously until
it reaches an internal temperature of 75
degrees. Once this temperature has been
reached, the automatic cut-o feature
will activate and the unit will turn itself
o, to allow the internal temperature to
decrease. The replace will then continue
to carry out this automatically controlled
On-O cycle until manually turned o or
unplugged from the mains.
PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF ALL THE
FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Do:
• Always install the re in accordance with
this guide. If in doubt obtain expert advice.
• Always make sure the electrical socket is
accessible and located adjacent to, but
not above or behind the re.
• Always disconnect the re from the
electrical supply before carrying out
cleaning or maintenance.
• Always ensure the product is assembled
in an area that is free from dust, grease or
liquids.
• Always ensure that the correct tools are
used to assemble/install this product.
• Always make sure the re is rmly secured
in place when complete.

Don’t:
• Never leave children unsupervised in a
room where the re is on and unguarded.
• Never obstruct or cover the fan outlet or
force items into the re openings.
• Never install or use the re near water. DO
NOT place the re in bathrooms, kitchens,
shower rooms, swimming pools or any
other wet or humid locations.
• Never use aerosols or steam cleaners on
or around the re.
• Never route the mains supply cable under
carpets or any other oor coverings.
• Never install the re close to curtains or
combustible materials.
• Never use the re to dry clothes or other
similar items.
• Never sit or stand
on the re.
• Never cut o the
plug or attempt to
hard wire the unit
into a xed fused
spur.
Note: Any new wiring
required must be in
accordance with local
and national codes
and other applicable
regulations in order to
reduce the risk of re,
electric shock, or other
injuries.
Note: When the re is turned on for the rst
time or when it has not been used for some
time, it may release a slight, harmless odour.
This odour is a normal occurrence caused
by the initial heating of the internal heating
elements or dust, and will disappear with use.
SAFETY OVER HEAT PROTECTION
WARNING!
Please do not obstruct the unit’s air vents, as
this will cause it to overheat.
This appliance is equipped with a self-resetting
safety overheat protection mechanism. If
the temperature exceeds 75oC, the heating
element will cut out until a safe temperature is
regained.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Safety Overheat Protection Device:
To reset the unit after the safety overheat
protection feature has activated, carry out the
following steps
1. Turn the replace o by icking the On/O
switch to the O position, represented by
the symbol ‘O’.
2. Unplug the power cord from the electrical
mains supply socket and leave it
disconnected for at least 10 minutes.
3. Ensure the air vents are free from any
obstructions.
4. Plug the unit back into the mains socket.
5. Turn the re back on by icking the On/O
switch to the On position, represented by
the symbol ‘I’.
6. If the replace does not operate correctly
after it has been reset, check if the fuse in
the plug is damaged.
7. If the fuse is not damaged but the re is
still not functioning correctly, contact a
qualied service person.
Problem Potential cause Corrective action
The re will not turn on. The unit is not plugged into
the mains.
The ON/OFF switch has not
been turned on.
The fuse in the plug has

Check the mains socket to
ensure the plug has been
inserted correctly.

the Troubleshooting section
above.

CLEANING AND CARE
• Always switch o the re and remove
the plug from the electrical socket before
cleaning.
• Ensure the unit is suciently cool before
attempting to clean it.
• Wipe the appliance with a dry cloth to
remove dust.
• Never use abrasive powders or solvents.
• If the heater shows any signs of wear or
damage, IMMEDIATELY disconnect it from
the mains supply and contact a qualied
technician. DO NOT attempt to use the
heater if it appears worn or damaged.
CLEANING THE GLASS
• The unit’s glass is cleaned in the factory
during assembly. However, it is possible
that it may collect dust particles or other
residual debris in the process of shipping,
handling or installation. Should this be the
case, lightly dust the glass with a clean,
dry cloth to remove these particles.
• To remove ngerprints or other marks, use
a clean, damp cloth. The glass should be
completely dried with a lint free cloth to
prevent water spots.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, as these
may scratch the glass.
REPLACING THE BULBS
The halogen bulbs inside the unit can become
very hot.
To avoid accidental burns, allow at least 10
minutes between turning o the appliance and
removing the bulbs.
Do not handle the halogen lamps with bare
ngers, as oils from your skin will damage the
bulbs when they heat up. Use gloves or a clean
dry cloth when handling the bulbs. To replace
the halogen bulbs, carry out the following
instructions:
1. Unscrew the unit’s back cover by
removing the two screws securing it.
2. Carefully remove the used halogen bulb
and replace it with a new one.
3. Replace the cover back into the unit and
tighten the two screws to secure it into
place. NOTE: A 25W halogen bulb is
provided with the unit.
WARNING:
DO NOT IMMERSE ANY ELECTRICAL PART
OF THE APPLIANCE IN WATER SUCH AS
MOTOR UNITS OR PLUGS.
