6 WIRING SAFETY FOR UK USE ONLY
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the
mains lead of this
appliance may not
correspond with the
coloured markings
identifying the terminals
in your plug, please
proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Green/Yellow [EARTH]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire coloured blue is the neutral and must be
connected to the terminal marked [N] or coloured
black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire and
must be connected to the terminal marked [L] or
coloured red.
The wire coloured green/yellow must be
connected to the terminal marked with the letter
[E] or marked .
On no account must either the brown or the blue
wire be connected to the [EARTH] terminal .
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be tted with a fuse of the same
rating already tted and conforming to BS 1362
and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-
rewireable plug tted to the mains lead and
should the fuse need replacing, you must use an
ASTA approved one (conforming to BS 1362 of
the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug – disconnect it
from the mains – and then cut it o of the mains
lead and immediately dispose of it in a safe
manner. Never attempt to reuse the plug or insert
it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of an
electric shock.

Ensure that the heater is not
positioned close to curtains,

materials as this could create a

• The heater must not be located
immediately below a mains
socket outlet.
• This product is only suitable
for well-insulated spaces and
occasional use.
• DO NOT cover the heater as this
may lead to a re risk.
• DO NOT obstruct any of the
openings of the heater especially
the heat outlet at the bottom of
the heater.
• DO NOT insert any object
through any openings on the
heater.
• DO NOT use the heater in
areas where ammable liquids
are stored or where ammable
fumes may be present.
• DO NOT operate the heater on
a timer or leave on overnight.
• When not being used, please
unplug the heater from the
mains socket.
• Keep the mains lead away from
the hot body of the heater and
ensure that it is not pulled tight
between the socket and the
heater.
• DO NOT use the heater in the
immediate surroundings of a
bath, a shower, a swimming
pool or similar indoor locations.
• DO NOT use or place the
appliance on carpet. Always
place the heater on a at, stable
heat-resistant surface.
• In order to avoid a hazard due
to inadvertent resetting of the
thermal cut-out, this appliance
must not be supplied through an
external switching device, such

This should only be done by a
qualied service agent.

appliance develops a fault,

BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE:
1. Remove your appliance from the packaging.
2. Keep the front of the appliance through which the heat is radiated at least one meter away from
furniture, curtains and other ammable objects at all times.
3. Ensure there is a grounded socket nearby (back of the appliance).
4. Never use an extension lead. The main cable must remain at the back of the appliance and
must not be in contact with any hot elements.
5. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.
Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.

ATTACHING THE LEGS
1. Turn product on its side to start attaching
legs.
2. Place a leg on each corner and use 3
screws for each leg.
3. Tighten the screws clockwise until tight on
each leg.
4. Turn the unit back up to standing position
making sure it is stable.
5. Place the unit in the required location and
plug in, it is now ready for use.
NOTE: The drawing below is for illustration
purposes only, your product may be slightly
dierent in looks but the operations are the
same.
CONTROL PANEL
Thermostat control dial – Adjust to maintain
room temperature
Power/Flame switch – Switches both Flame
eect and Power On/O
1000W Heat Selection – Press “-” for 1000W
2000W Heat Selection – Press “-” and “=” at
the same time for 2000W heating. The higher
heating selection cannot be activated without
rst activating the 1000W setting.
Flame Switch – Switches ame eect and
power ON/OFF.
USING YOUR APPLIANCE
1. Plug the heater into the mains socket and
switch the socket on.
2. The heater controls are located on left
hand side of the appliance.
3. Switch the re on by pushing the ON/OFF
switch to the ‘I’ position.
4. To select the heat level, you can choose
between two settings: 1000W or 2000W
5. Push switch ‘I’ to the ON position for
1000W
6. Push both switches ‘I’ and ‘II’ to the ON
position for 2000W.
7. To turn o, push all the switches to the
OFF positions.
OVERHEATING SAFETY DEVICE
If the heater stops working, turn the heater o
and visually inspect for any blockage of the
inlet or outlet. Disconnect the plug and wait at
least 10 minutes for the protection system to
reset before attempting to restart the heater.
If the safety device still switches the heater o
and the heater fails to operate, take the heater
to your nearest service centre for examination
or repair.
Attention! Before restarting the heater, the plug
must be disconnected for at least 10 minutes.

CLEANING AND CARE
• Before cleaning always switch o the re
and remove the plug from the electrical
socket.
• Ensure that the unit is cool enough to
work on.
• To remove the dust, wipe the appliance
with a dry cloth.
• To keep the heater clean, the outer
shell may be cleaned with a soft, damp
cloth. You may use a mild detergent if
necessary. After cleaning, dry the unit with
a soft cloth.
• CAUTION! DO NOT let liquid enter the
heater. This may cause damage or
deterioration to the heater’s surface.
• WARNING! DO NOT immerse the heater
in water or any other liquid.
• Never use abrasive powders or solvents.
• If the heater shows any signs of wear or
damage disconnect immediately from
the mains supply, do NOT use it – have it
checked by a suitably qualied person.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
